We had a big storm here in Ventura recently and a lot of driftwood washed up on the beach. There was so much that I actually found myself "up to my knees" in it.
I crisscrossed all 3 coasts of Canada last summer, picked up a few choice driftwood pieces (ok, quite a few, lol). Quite a few good crafting artists coast to coast to coast. I'm a painter, not a crafter bone in me. so thank you for sharing yours.
Great to see you again here on RUclips, Scott. I've been on hiatus with my channel as well over the past few months (needed a break). I love your "inspiration wood garden." That is a work of art/sculpture in of itself! 👍👍👍
Great to be back! Yea, sometimes you need a break - mine lasted way longer than I thought it would but I was on a roll with my other business so it was ok. The inspiration wood garden is a work of art for sure - constantly changing and evolving - and I find myself out there quite a bit just enjoying looking at the wood.
Good to see you back Scott , by the looks of your property you didn’t get to much storm damage like your neighbors in Montecito looking forward to seeing what you produce with your new stock.
My property survived much better than most and my trees sure are happy! The storm was huge but much needed....although I did get a couple of extra ruts in my driveway :)
I have a driftwood garden in my yard too.. I love looking at them with my bonsai and stones.. Makes me feel relaxed and makes me feel wonderful, realizing how great is our mother nature.
Hi Scott Professor Vinster here came to check out your videos. I want to add more drift wood to my projects with 3D fish and animals and well I was here subscribed. Will be going through your video for ideas if that's ok .
Scott that was a good haul of inspirational wood you brought home. I'm going to be looking forward to seeing what the finished artwork will look like! So much to choose from.
I wooda been like a kid at Christmas:) I find some cool wood along the Ohio River but nothing like the salt water driftwood. Can't wait to see what you do with your find.
Yo Scott great you are recharged and getting back to inspire everyone with those many artistic creations to look forward to in the future bravo John from Australia
Good morning my friends! Scott where ya been? I love watching your videos... I started a couple years ago and look forward to all your art! You've taught me a lot about wood art ... and I've made a couple pieces myself... thanks my friend...
I've been working really hard on my other business for awhile but am now feeling caught up with it so I figured it was time to drop a new video. Thanks for watching and I'm glad you're getting something from the videos - and hope you continue to find inspiration to make more pieces :)
Hello Scott. I'm so excited to see you back. I was only looking for you the other day and wondering what you were up to. You have some beautiful wood right there. Your earlier videos about collecting driftwood inspired me to go out and look for some. I am not close to the sea, but we have a very wide river which goes out to sea, so I went searching there. I like the way that materials inspire you. I am the same with my collection of fabric. Hopefully you will show us what you make with your driftwood. ilona
Yes, happy to be back! I've been busy working hard on my other business for awhile but was starting to really miss youtube :) Great to hear from you and yes I am hoping to show what I make with some of this driftwood. That certainly is the plan. Inspiration a plenty just from gathering driftwood on this day alone - so should have no trouble putting some of it on the wall.
Wow, a whole new source of driftwood you are in your heaven. I can’t wait to see what you do with it. You are an amazing artist and whatever you do with that what it’s going to be gorgeous.

Great to see you again too Ken! .....and thanks for dropping a comment before watching the video :)

Our nearby Kern river has brought quite a bit of driftwood in to our local lake. I will be building my first ever driftwood chair.
Awesome! I hope it turns out great!
Wow.. Happy to see you again sir.. Its been a while.. Excited for your next wood working project video..
I have a driftwood garden in my yard too.. I love looking at them with my bonsai and stones.. Makes me feel relaxed and makes me feel wonderful, realizing how great is our mother nature.

It's a bit like Christmas for me too. And cutting the wood to see what's inside is like opening the presents :)
Hope you show a vid soon of yourself cutting up and shaping some gorgeous wall art.....it's been awhile!
That's the plan!

Привет из России. Жму руку.
Спасибо!
I found the motherload too, trying to think of some to make
These doughy socal art teachers just refuse to discover boots. Imagine how much better they'd feel if sandals and flipflops disappeared.
I need some help with creating a walking stick out of driftwood
How can you spot ancient wood...?
Stop complaining about being wet , just wear appropriate shoes
