- One of the songs that came to my mind after hearing Blinding Lights was Young Turks because of the beat and since it's a 80's influenced song I thought this would fit well so I did this, I'll remake it if a better acapella comes out.

I knew I wasn’t the only one who thought 💭 about Rod Stewart’s Young Turks when I heard The Weeknd’s Blinging Lights.

@@michaelfreitag3124 well, the Intro is at least inspired and the sounds also sound very similar. I kinda feel like it’s a modern version of the song with as different, but inspired melody. But maybe I just have to fix my ears.

Both singers, Different backgrounds, different era, different circumstances. For some reason Robert Stewart song has this mystical long time era that hearing what it was about in spirit. Weekend songs coming from the streets, with nothing, broken inside to risen music so captivating and compelling. Spikes out from the rest of the music today's. 🎶

Some “folks” believe this sounds more to the A-ha - “Take on me” due to the echoes. However it’s definitely Rod Stewart’s Young Turks.
