As suggested by ℳ𝓇 𝒫𝓇𝒶𝑔𝓊𝑒 ℳ𝒶𝓃 I am not an expert on ragtime music but really enjoyed composing this fun little piece! Feel free to give any feedback! Sheet music here: musescore.com/...
@@King-of-Cheeseland It's very good and evokes the 'ragtime' style quite well, but there are a few things which can be easily fixed to improve the 'Joplin' style. 1. The left hand jumps are far too large, and as the above comment said, they are too static. 2. The right hand texture could be fuller and use more octaves, typical in his music. Moreover, in bars 12-13 there is too much dissonance (with the sol against the fa-dièse!) 3. Joplin doesn't like parallel motion (which you have in the right hand in bar 14) and chromaticism is used sparingly. Intervals of 3e are more common than 4e. 4. If you want to expand on it, add a trio beginning in the dominant key to produce an A-B-A form. Otherwise, great!
@@dominikclarke6545 Thank you very much for all this valuable feedback! If I ever happen to compose another ragtime, I'll be sure to take this advice into consideration! 😊
I think Mr. Joplin would be proud!! Good job!! :)
Thanks!
Very funny music!
