For the TomTom mount you have to drill the Rally Raid mount out, the SW Motech one fits as is. I have since fitted the Rally Raid mount, as I had one on my other bike 👍
When your tom tom packs in you might want to consider a Garmin zumo xt. I’ve got one on my CB500x and it fitted just right on my accessories bar using a £12 mounting thingy I got off eBay. At the moment I’ve got it wired direct to the battery. I want to wire it to the bike via the accessories plug under the seat but don’t know where to get the pins to get the job done. Any ideas ?
Yes that is my intention. Much slimmer, DrJ has one. Or maybe just use my phone. Thing is I have all my routes/places stored on it so wil use it till it dies. I bought a 2 way splitter for lights/sat nav. They do single or double. I connected spotlights with one. Works great. www.ebay.co.uk/itm/282971670310
The next TMJ will be part of the original TMJ as you used a bracket knowing you were going to change it. In addition you need to hard wire it in so all combined you should beat your TMJ record of 2 days. 😂😂😂
I didn’t know I would change it. I did have a different one on other bike, but hoped this would be ok. But experience suggested it would end up being changed, or buy a new GPS. Guess which was cheapest? Ha ha!
