Even in solo sports they have a team or coach at least. Like u think they taught themselves or manage every part of their career on their own. I get what u mean though, the coach doesn’t technically win it.

This was BS that they wanted Reggie to not be a star, but when Roscoe was winning the games, clowning him and acting like an ass it was ok. Reggie had no reason to be ashamed nor to be remorseful for winning because he never acted arrogant and didn't treat people crappy like Roscoe did when he was the star of the team. It was a good humbling experience for the other kid. Regardless of his background, it does not give the other kid a right to be an ass once he is not the star!
Reggie was quite arrogant when he was receiving the fame. "We won because of me". That's why Roscoe wanted to beat his ass in the locker room, not just because he lost his scholarship. Even Courtney saw right through Reggie on their date, and it took Khalil to set him straight. Otherwise, Reggie was a good kid.
This movie is such a lesson that even the 🌎 today can get a lot of life lessons in it like #1 being your self! Never letting someone put a label on you? Like speak what you feel /and want always in power .💯 and over all i cam watch movies like this allllllllll day after other then the bs out hear today smh
