One of the most impressive things about this song, isn't that it's getting faster, but rather that the time signatures on the beat keep changing. Going from 3/4, 4/4, 5/4, 6/4, 7/4, 8/4 and then the second half goes 6/8, 8/8, 10/8 back down to 6/8 giving the illusion that the beat itself is running.
From what I can tell this guy used to be a hitman for the mob who specialized in arson but he left through witness protection. But since he developed a romantic relationship with Ronald he said too much and his old employers found out where his kids are
he was dating ronald, “he was sweet and exactly what he needed him to be at the time wine and candle light and nice texts at lunch time, why had he not called ron back guess there just wasn’t a spark” and told him about it but then he lost the spark with him and ronald got him back by burning his house down, the blue acura he recognized was ron’s car i think.
Said this on the previous upload of this vid but there is story 1,2,4,5 and 7 currently released and they are all loosley connected, also a great song from them is inside out which i think youll guys will love
Hell yeah - audio working this time lol, hopefully I've turned you all into some Clipping fans. I agree 100% with Court in the start the beats are half of what makes clipping clipping and the two guys the make all the beats make some of the most unique beats there are. Some of there stuff gets a lot more experimental and harder to get into for sure and aren't for everyone, but they also have a lot more like these that are just bangers imo - I'll have to hit you up with some more suggestions on the beer fund if you all are interested.
Probably had comments about this already but in case you haven't, just as Nothing to Lose a story of a police raid from the perspective of the dealers, this is also a story. This is the story of Mike Winfield, an ex mafia enforcer who would burn down houses. The haunting of his murders traumatized him and caused him to leave the mafia. His family being murdered mid song was his punishment for being a rat. The writing is so unbelievably good all the way from the start. "great now I'm a fucking bartender, fuck this shit people are so annoying... Don't they know who I am? I could burn you all alive, you should know better than to test me" the story that unfolds I could literally turn into a novel or screenplay. It's ridiculous how detailed the story is in this series.
Awesome, guys! You make my day, reviewing this metalhead's favorite rapper. 4:13 you may have missed the bars where he said, 'ashes are raining from the sky' etc. You would have known why this cleptomaniac was running home. Haha. Also, the track is a musicians dream as the rhythm keeps changing from 3s, 4s, 5s, uo to 8. Then it gets "faster" (subdivided triplets) and does it all again. It's great. Just great. OK going back to watch the rest. Hope you mention the timing! Haha
@@BeersBars all good, man! Thanks for the reply. Yeah, other than Cipping, I don't think there's another rapper or hiphop group that messes with time signatures like this. Clipping only has a few more that are rhythmically challenging. Story 7 is crazy. It's broke into 15: First line is 5 sets of 3 (=15 beats) Next is 3 sets of 5 (15) It's pretty neat. Jarring. But neat. Haha Other songs he just does it with his voice only, like in 'Taking Off'. Regardless, I'm here for it. Thanks again. Buying you guys a beer next pay. 😄 🍻

Truly amazing ✌️🍻
There’s a pretty dope visual representation of the beat progression here: ruclips.net/video/Hyvv1oJAaSI/видео.html
I was going insane because they didn’t notice this, that’s the part that makes this one of my favorite tracks of all time
350%! That’s why I love this! I’ve never heard a song that plays with signatures like that.

If I get it right the main person here was an arsonist in the past, and that line about spark is more like a joke about it

@@BeersBars you had no chance!
Best part of the music that Clipping give you is that they rarely sample. They create all of their sounds from scratch
amazing fusion of math and music. go back and listen again and count it and repeat until you absorb it. thanks for covering!
