Но в тот год обнажилась вся изнанка судейства танцев на льду и на первые две ступеньки пъедестала поставили пары после грубейших ошибок - падений. Как?!! В результате, самый яркий танец ОИ, великолепно исполненный, стал всего лишь четвертым. Позор судьям!
I still can't believe the low ranking their awesome performances got. I love this program - so much heart, expression and passion. I love Fusar Poli & Margaglio but I sometimes wonder how they managed to get the bronze with a fall while these two skated flawlessly. They were and still are one of the most under-rated skaters of all time and I have no idea why.
The pair that we,lithuanians, always loved and supported the most. I remember watching this and almost crying at the injustice. Sometimes it sucks to be a little country
This was my favorite free dance from these Olympics. They were completely robbed. Imagined if they had been American and finished behind 2 teams with huge falls.
Yeah, at least they got some attention at Worlds when they were robbed again. I was so impressed that their own competitors signed a petition and supported them throughout. Even they could see what an injustice was done to this pair.
This is the only performance I can remember from the salt lake olimpics. powerfull , lots of speed and energy and the most important thing very passsionate. they took the silver medal away from them, but they will never take them away from our hearts. We all love you maragrita and povilas, and we'll always remember you as the silver medallist champions.
Thank you for posting this... I'd have given them the Silver Medal. Their OD was incredible and this was amazing, terrific... a TOTAL scandal that they didn't get a medal.
They skate beautiful together, and the way they make it look on the ice is just wonderful, and the song is wonderful, it just all comes together great. I saw this proformance on t.v. when they skated it and I was so sad that they did not get a medal, they deserved to be on the podium.
they always skated to such interesting music! this and Spente le Stelle are just two masterpieces! so original, so dramatic! But what a heartbreaking season for them. imagine how they must have felt... and nobody really gave a shit about it, they were too busy listening to Canadians whining. And 4 years later they came back even more wonderful and were robbed of medals again... I swear the story of their career is one of the most heartbreaking things ever.

Beautiful, it was then and always will be my favorite ice dance routine. I used to watch it on a VHS tape. So beautiful and flawless.

After all those years I have to say that this was absolutely fantastic and deserved bronze with our without the falls of the other 2 teams. Respect.
