    All those empty lots and fucked up houses were once nice with neighbors knowing everyone. Kids. Memories. Lots of memories. Ghosts. Around.

    Detroit hoods are so weird because it was such a nice middle to upper class city at first so now it’s just these beautiful big houses turned decrepit and beat up.

    • @AlvinSeville1
      @AlvinSeville1 12 дней назад

      This is the result of a massive population decline.
      At one time Detroit had 1,849,000 r😊residents within it's city limits. Latest estimates is something like 632,000 now.

      The money left, and the crime crept in. This is what happens when big work suppliers die off, and it's happening all over tbh, just only a few places where you can buy a house cheap and a low crime rate so you can continue to have nice things, it's mostly depopulated also no work around unless you can work remote that is. Course the issue is maybe the nearest petrol station is 6 miles or more, and groceries same thing. Also when whole towns or areas just get abandoned and there is nobody to make laws or pay taxes etc, nobody cares, there are parts where the police won't go there.

    It’s sad seeing ruins of homes and businesses that at one point in time were the pride and joy of a person or family and their entire lives. It’s a pity seeing such hard work become rubble.

    I have a question for someone from Detroit. Would it be dangerous for a tourist to walk through this settlement during the day? Maybe it sounds strange, but I would honestly really like to visit places like this in the US. I'm white, maybe that's negative or it doesn't even matter?

    Don't believe any of the comments saying these areas don't exist and are open fields. Those people making those comments aren't even from Detroit. Charlie recently recorded these videos. Detroit has a ton of work to do. They are no where near finished when it comes to "cleaning" up hoods.

      This is a compilation vide. Much of what is shown here, no longer exist. The area has been cleaned up and many of the homes have been demolished years ago. And you can know for sure because the date of the cars that are shown, dates the video. You can easily date when a video is filmed by looking at the cars that are present in the video.

    • @CharlieBo313
      @CharlieBo313  14 дней назад +5

      Lady I live in Detroit none of the areas shown here are open fields, the last half of it have a few houses that have been demolished because they are doing a lot of demolitions. But there is still a lot to go. I can do a video right now 30 minutes long showing endless abandoned homes still standing. This is from a few days ago and about 3 to 4 months ago.

    • @CharlieBo313
      @CharlieBo313  14 дней назад +5

      Can you explain what you mean about the date of the cars? If thats the case then you clearly don't know what you talking about because there are 2023 and 2024 cars in this video. This not from the 70's It's from a few days ago and 3 to 4 months ago.

    An American City comeback will only be accomplished, when housing for the average citizen is available, by way of rebuilding, rehabbing houses that need some TLC, and the city government releasing houses to people that want a home in the City of Detroit. Shame on City officials for such a long delay in creating an Economic Rebound for Detroit Michigan.
