no no no wrong about Ederson, saved us so so so many times last season. His shot stopping is SOOOO underrated. He just isnt
Ederson isn’t mistake prone in possession, it’s his horrible shot stopping ability and poor decision making when choosing to parry or catch a shot or rushing out of goal and just taking out the player
His possession ability and ball playing ability is unmatched, he’s on his own level with his passing but I don’t rate him purely because I like to have a safe pair of hands when a shot goes past the back 4
City fan taking here, ederson is my keeper, I don’t like him for the panic attacks he causes me but I’ll back him nonetheless
He’s saved your ass in the CL final, his shot stopping is not horrendous by any means. World class? No. Average, with some shutters but the ability to be world class? Yes
Thank fuck someone has said it, Reev is bang on, he's a great keeper but Ederson's shotstopping isn't even a top 5 prem league standard
Ederson save In champions league final was clutch.
I like how theo prefaces by saying he considers longevity then puts Oblak 10th
And also picks keepers based on how they just did at the WC
Ramsdale isn't better than Pickford, never mind some of the names in these lists.
Why was this video ended just before the debate
3rd nick pope😂 what is wrong with lewis take the mic away
Most clean sheets in the top league in the world... It's insane that he isn't in all their lists
@@BobLazar1 that was de gea you mong
im convinced lewis watches a different sport
Unpopular opinion:
Genuinely as a keeper I would much rather have pickford than pope, pickford makes so many big save, and yes it may be because he's in a worse defence but it means he needs to be focused and switched on more than pope who can some games do nothing because the opposition have no shots on target, as a shot stopping keeper pickford is better than pope
These lists are always funny because these guys only watch the prem 😂
Also 80% of people who watch football in England 😂
I am with Reev on ederson, he was extremely average last season. His season went under the redar due to city's dominance
I’m ngl Emerson low-key might be the Harry maguire of goalkeeping, a system player, for Man City sure he works for them but put him in a bottom half of the table team and he’s conceding goals left right and centre, usually bottom half of the table keepers end up with a lot of saves come the end of the season but i don’t think Emerson would get near the average for saves in a season at one of those clubs
Top 10 Goalkeepers in the world
1- Petr Cech
2- Cassillias
3- Buffon
4- Peter Schmeichel
5- Oliver Khan
6- Yev Yashin
7- Edwin Van der sar
8 - Neuer
9- Allison
10- Ter Stegen
Based on the last 3 seasons
Alison
Ter Stegen
Courtois
Neuer
Maignan
Onana
Navas
Oblak
Szcezny
Kobel
Donnaruma has been shit since he left Milan, Martinez is overrated because of his spectacular moments (like De Gea)
Raya, Pope, Bijlow, Ramsdale Costa, and Provedel need another season at their current level to be considered for the top 10
1. Ederson (U can't say he is 7th when he won the treble and he is key player for City because of the way they play...)
2. Allison
3. Ter Stegen
4. Curtois
5. Martinez
6. Bounou
7. Onana
8. Pope
9. Maignan
10. Oblak
The best point made in this video was Tom’s about mistakes being on social media seconds after they happen and clueless idiots deciding a player is terrible, overrated, past it etc.
10. Onana
9. Neuer (Both Oblak and especially Neuer are somewgat riding on previous achievements)
8. Donnarumma (Navas was always better than him in PSG tho)
7. Oblak
6. Martinez
5. Ederson
4. Maignan
3. Alisson
2. Ter Stegen (last season he was probably the best in the world)
1. Courtois
Ramsdale last season had a -2.0 PSxG-GA, ranking him 24th among Prem goalkeepers. His career has consistently been below average and people rate him as one of the best goalkeepers in the world... I struggle to see why people think he is good yet alone world-class.
Might be a bit harsh but his stats is below average, even borderline bad
napoli goalkeeper meret should be on this list if wer'e talking about this season! and kobel from dortmund as well.
no no no wrong about Ederson, saved us so so so many times last season. His shot stopping is SOOOO underrated. He can have the odd game where he looses his concentration. but the way he can create a separate angle, can play line splitting passes, creates an extra option, so fast off his line, some of the fastest reactions
Nah his save percentage is like 50%
I think the lowest in the league
@@WJeezus Okay and the shots he has to face are much harder to save due to how good the defense in front of him
@@racka3222 i think reev said the discrepancy between his eg and goals conceded is highest in the league or smth
If thats true...go figure
@@racka3222last season his post shot xG was really poor for his quality. So it meant he was letting in goals that could have been saved. I know what you mean when you say he had crucial saves (ucl final specifically remembered) but overall, he was poor for his standards last year
@@racka3222 no theyre not? the stats literally show the opposite. go watch all citys goals conceded last season and you'll see so many that keepers like alisson, ter stegen, courtois save every weekend
From a keepers perspective this is what i think (city fan so wont be biased)
1. Alisson (Liverpool)
2. Courtois (Madrid)
3. Ederson (City)
4. Ter stegan (barca)
5. Martinez (Villa)
6. Maignan (Milan)
7. Neuer (Bayern)
8. Oblak (A Madrid)
9. Onana (Man utd)
10. Bono (sevilla)
ter stegen 9th is outrageous ☠️
Tom and Reev smoking dust here. Being a keeper in a good v bad team requires different things. In a good team your concentration levels need to remain high as you do less, in a bad team you have more opportunity to make mistakes as your being tested much more. To say it’s easier to look good in a bad team is horribly wrong
Thats nonsense
@@jccccccyhjd elaborate…
Anybody that doesn't put ter stegen and cortious in top 2 whilst having oblak anywhere in the top 10, it just means that that person watches the prem exclusively and gets his news on the other leagues from social media and searching up numbers.
Alisson is better than both
as a city fan i think Reev is spot on with Ederson. There was a point in the season where he was about 30th in the world when it comes to % of shots saved and city fans were begging for Ortega to start ahead of him. He had a fantastic final 2-3 months though which brings him back up higher. 7th is a very reasonable spot for him
I think he's about 5th in my opinion
Easily top 4
Lewis just knows how to make a show outta this unreal 🤣
