If I am not wrong the seat just slid up a lil more so I think the weight is in the back and not the head thing

Almost works on the 2008. Seats don't actually lock when tilted back, so if you sit too far in, the seats will try to make a panini out of you
Used a jackstand in the well and propped up the seat, actually works really well

Used to do this in my o4 also can lean em all back into a bed like the classic vans
Used to do it at drive-in movies and the wife and i would take out the two 2nd row captain chairs and sit outside kids would use the bench

It does but it's not particularly comfortable. The backrest is surprisingly firm and it's angled slightly downward, so you're always slowly sliding off.

Anyone know if this drains the battery? I have a 2016 and I know at one point leaving the doors open would drain the battery in vehicles. Is this an issue?
Your battery should be ok if you turn off the lights. On my 2005, there's a switch to the right of the steering wheel to turn all the lights on or off

I'm curious what year you have. I've never had this issue and we drive our 2016 Odyssey to the Great Lakes in the winter when salt is on the roads, and Florida on the Gulf coast where there is salt in the air, and to the Atlantic coast of Virginia. regularly.
@@mdargusch glad you've been lucky. I have a 2007, so it is old. But it's very low miles & was supposedly garaged most of its life. Every other odyssey I see around here from 2000-2010 has the same rot in the same spots. Live in NKY, so we do get salt, but not as much as y'all!
@mdargusch but I have several older cars besides the van. currently a 2004 camry & a 2008 Nissan versa I'm borrowing. Had previously a 2002 civic & 1990 chevy baretta. none of them had rot setting in like my odyssey.
