Selby was awesome tonight. When he plays like that he looks almost unplayable. People go on about his tactical and match play. But at his best he is a devastating scorer and rarely misses.

His pot success in his first session was 98%. Even Ronnie O'Sullivan didnt have that kind of Pot Success when he did beat Ding 6-1 with 4 centuries.

Yes, he’s one of the all time great break builders, as well as being granite with his match play.
He has almost 900 centuries himself and at 8+ years younger than Higgins he’ll end up overtaking him.

@VoiceOfThe As much as I‘d love to, I can’t see Selby play that long. He’s looked pretty worn out lately with his mental health issues and the health scare regarding his wife.
Very happy for him to be playing this well again in the last couple of weeks! 👍

I tend to agree with you on that one. He may not be the best at any aspect of the game, but he IS the BEST all around player. He's just had some unfortunate years lately, glad to see him coming back into his own once again.. When he's playing like this, he's a force to be reckoned with. WELL DONE MARK 🍻❤

In my opinion when Mark Selby plays faster with more confidence and self belief and starts scoring heavily there’s only one player that can possibly beat him and thats a tip top unstoppable Ronnie O’Sullivan. He is so undervalued by the casual snooker fan. His greatest opponent has always been himself. It’s great to see him play like this and win.

  • @peterbehrendt97

I'm really happy about Mark Selby's win. He is the king of the "desider" frame. As a fan it simply takes too much nerve energy. 10:5 is of course much better.

I can't abide Selby as a Snooker player, As well as the tactics God knows how many Chalk cubes he gets through a season with the endless unnecessary Cue chalking.
Rode the lucky Horse last week with all the deciding frame victories but his fighting never say die attitude came to the fore
However he is/has together with his family gone through some tough times and hopefully they're behind them now.
