Yes you cup your hand and hit the babies back when they have RSV even if there is no obstruction. It breaks up the mucus so they can get it out easier. I don’t think anyone should be a doctor for respiratory issues unless they have Asthma themselves. Doctors have some warped thinking when it comes to breathing issues. I almost died at Dartmouth Hitchcock for days because they were giving me “helium”! And so many Nebulizers I thought my heart was going to explode. It didn’t work. I have a nebulizer at home, had that worked, I wouldn’t have gone to the hospital in the first place. I begged for antibiotics “Zithromax”, prednisone, and a pain killer because my ribs were bruised from days of trying to breathe. The doctor fought me on all of it, but finally signed for it all a day or two later. After a Day and a half, I could breathe again, and I was able to go home three days later. If you can’t breathe from Asthma, covid, RSV, a cold, you need to advocate for yourself because you will die if you don’t!
