thx for the clear-cut recommendation for regular consumers. Most people who watch videos like these are new to film like me, so giving a recommendation with that in mind is always super helpful.
I can't believe that DJI did this to customers... RSC 2 battery can't be replaced. Already hit the return button... It would have been nice to inform people about this nasty move to sell you a product with a condemned battery inside... Yeah because they want you to keep on buying stuff every 1 to 2 years. I'm sick and tired of that. I'm going back to Glidecam setup. Still have my vest.
Thank you very much for this great video! Even though the video is a little bit older, I hope you still respond 😀 Do you think the RSC 2 could carry a light camera with the Sigma 24-105 (885g)? I'm not sure because it would be very front heavy...
After watching this amazing video, I think that for the most part, the RS2 is much better because it will let you replace the battery if for "x" reason it start to give you issues after the warranty expires. The omission of a swappable battery system is a deal break for me, so I will be buying the RS2.
What a great video! I have bought RSC2 and It's litteraly my daily driver gimbal. I use additional handle instead of folding it, because its only like 25 USD and way easier for me to use. RavenEye system works amazing as well. Thanks to this system I don't have to bring any monitor on set and just relie on my smartphone. And at the end advice for all people buying Ronin RS2 or RSC2. Remember to buy the COMBO kit. It's 100% worth it :)
Great video, thanks! I still can’t decide whether the folding arm on the RSC makes it a better companion? If money is not an object and neither is payload, which is best - the RSC for the arm and easy briefcase mode or the RS for the ability to use it off the handle without phone!?
Perfect unbiased review , liked your work very much here ! Coz i watched over 20 videos which left me with no clue for which one I should go with. From here I got very clear in the very starting that i should go for rsc2 Thanks man 🤞😇
I wish it as easier to play with them before deciding. I'd rather get the one with all the bells and whistles... but the idea of convenience and portability is huge.
you can't use the additional focus wheel on the RSC2, even though it's working on the RS2, the Ronin S and even the Ronin SC. So, in that point, you are downgrading when choosing the newer RSC2 instead of the Ronin SC.
i know its a couple years old but im hoping you'll still reply i have the chance to buy a RS-2 used for about 350 right now, im a student so i need it for mostly travel useabe (for examply im going to germany this summer with my school) is ther any reason in this senario i would want the RSC2 over the RS-2?
The RSC2 is more travel-friendly due to its lighter weight, but depending on your camera and payload. If you do decide to change, make sure you get a really good deal, since it's an older model.
@@TECH360TV Excellent, will purchase this one for now, thanks for this :), I find the Ronin S is just too heavy to hold all day for wedding shoots and need to upgrade to a lighter gimble.
Depends if you consider expanding your rig. RS2 has more modular and rigging options. But if its just the A7Siii and lens, RSC2 will do more than enough to carry the payload.
Best review on this 2 gimbal models, I only have a M50 Canon camera with 5 different lenses and I'm planning to buy better cameras in the near future and more lenses so do you think in that case I should buy the RS2 because I will get more gears very soon or just get the RSC2? Let me know and thanks so much!!
Apologies for the late reply. Depends on the camera you are going to invest in the future. If it’s going to be significantly larger then RS2. If you want the bells and whistles of the touch screen and ability to swap out the battery then go RS2. If you just want a gimbal that’s compact and you can carry without issue, RSC2.
Thanks the video looks great. I will throw out there be careful with the active track and going to quickly to under slung as mine freaked out. My camera ended up upside down. Also watch the phone size on the RS2 as it was hitting my 11 pro max in the provided holder.
@@TECH360TVI did as well. As long as I didn't have the phone centered but clamped on the right side of the phone landscape. I was testing it out with the kids it got pretty erratic. I am sure if I was doing smooth pans and up to under it would be great. Just watch for quick moves when you subject goes out of frame with Raven Eye.
nice tuto. It seems that rsc2 is enough for z6ii+Z24-70 2.8 :-) how do we add a micro and ninja v on rsc2 ? i have seen a special smallrig handle for RS2 but not for rsc2.
Thanks for watching. If you want to rig it up that way go for the RS2. RSC2 is meant for more simple setups thus why the accessories are more for RS2 vs RSC2.
thank you ! I am newbie in video on z6ii. If i decide to invest once in a gimbal and select RS2, doesn't it look like a big monster totally overskill and huge for z6ii. I don't imagine size. the lcd, the detacheable battery, the screw for balancing look so nice. Is it easy to carry or requires its big suitcase ?
The size is roughly the same it’s the features that are slightly different. If you want to add a ninja micro etc and so the whole setup you may need the RS2. Once you take off the battery the gimbal arms are quite compact. The RSC2 gives you the option to fold it and reposition it based on shooting style. Do you need the Ninja V?
thank you very much ! I don't know if i need the ninja v. z6ii AF is less good than sony a7iii and we need to play with wide-L red box, subject tracking FN1 button,... and for video many people advise to use manual focus with focus peaking and with my glasses i have difficulties to see focus peaking so i purchased a ninja v for handheld video. again, i buy the equipment but still be newbie :-) in case i miss video, i become influencer for ronin :-) I think i should consider rs2 pro kit and so have a raveneye but again, my iphone 8 is small for looking focus peaking? How do you see this ?
I don't need any of them but every time I go into Best Buy I play with the RSC2 and I just love the thing. When it gets down to say $300 or less I think I might buy one anyway. LOL
I got a a7iii with battery grip and a heavy lens+raveneye to work great on the rsc2. The funny thing is that i think the rs2 is more portable then the rsc2, the folding looks nice but the shape of it isn’t practical for any type of bag imo
Why are you comparing the base RSC2’s price of $500 to the RS2’s combo package of $1000? If anything, you should be comparing the base RSC2’s price to the base RS2’s price of $850.
Nice video… But who’s stupid idea is it that you have to have rock music in the background. I’m trying to listen to what you have to say and the music is so Distracting… You might be great with a gimbal but somebody is clueless when it comes to making a video.
@@TECH360TV looking forward to your next video. And I am going to buy one of those Ronin gimbals… But even after watching your video, twice, I still can’t decide on which one. It’s not about the money, it’s about which one will I have more endurance with. And I will be purchasing the a7sIII to go with it.

If money is no object RS. Lighter can have multiple batteries and display screen is nice to use. If budget is concerned then RSC
Thanks for great review. Always enjoy watching your videos.
Thanks for the support
Thanks for the reply, I appreciate it.
Is the RS easy to put in briefcase on the go?
Yes it is. Just need to take off the battery which is easy. No issue

Excellent review! Are they both equally easy to use?
What you didn't mention is creative mode where on rs2 you can set automated movements on your liking but not sure if you can set same on rsc2

do you think the RSC2 can handle the S1 and 24-105 lens, thanks in advance
For sure. No issues at all

If you are a beginner, should you invest in the RSC2 Pro Bundle or will I just be ok with the RSC2? Thank you and great video
I think regardless beginner or not get the bundle.
@@TECH360TV Thank you so much for replying back, I'll get that one, thanks.
Great vid, would have been nice to get a side by side view for size comparison etc.
RSC2 is lighter and best for smaller payloads. But RS2 will be the best for rigging options and 3rd party accessories
Loved the video! I'm probably going to buy the RSC2 but I was wondering - which combo would you recommend as better value for money?
Hi, which one would you recommend for me? Have the Sony A7S III and Sigma 24-70mm
Depends if you consider expanding your rig. RS2 has more modular and rigging options. But if its just the A7Siii and lens, RSC2 will do more than enough to carry the payload.
Great comparison👍👍👍
Thanks Superman :)
Did you get the RSC2 to work with the X-S10 ? I can't control anything from the gimbal, not even the record button
Did you update the gimbal firmware? According to DJI it’s compatible

I understand. It’s a great looking and performing Gimbal
Hi. What is still unclear to me is whether I can mount the RSC2 on a tripod/monopod (e.g. to extend reach).
Mostly all gimbals have this facility to connect with a tripod/mono-pod by removing the grip.
I got a a7iii with battery grip and a heavy lens+raveneye to work great on the rsc2. The funny thing is that i think the rs2 is more portable then the rsc2, the folding looks nice but the shape of it isn’t practical for any type of bag imo
I agree. I'm returning the RSC2 because it's annoying to fit it on any camera bag, even when folded. Rather have the RS2 instead.
Is DJI RSC2 compatible with Nikon D800e?
so the RSC2 is a dud after the battery dies? even if its fully functional otherwise?
