We got word of a 2020 Chevy High Country Duramax near us! We are going to review it soon and let you know our thoughts so stay tuned!
The knuckles on the leaf springs will "squeak" against the seam if you don't flatten it. You'll need to cut a bit of the seam (I used a rotary cutting disc that had a decent reach) and then use a hammer and a punch to flatten it against the bed. Give it a bit of paint to prevent rust when complete. Also, I didn't need to remove the hitch.
WHERE DID YOU GET THE SHACKLES !!!!!! ???????
That frame looks so much older then 2015!
Brilliant team work, Justin and Caleb, I believe. Keep it up. That rust must be caused by the salt used on icey roads. Must do something about it while you still can.
Heads up the floor jacks you used are now currently under a recall at harbor freight just went in to hand mine back for a gift certificate of equal price.
Why pull the hitch would of saved more time to leave I changed mine and didn’t have to remove the hitch
That trucks only 4 years old and the frame is starting to rust. They dont make anything to last anymore. You should make a undercoating video in the future.
I have a '15 2500hd and installed the same shackles. Looks great. Curious if you installed bags for towing to counter the sag. I'm having trouble and seeing mixed reviews on bags fitting that are made for this truck's factory height.
johnnyj23s link to shackles?
What’s the link to those shackles ?
Wondering what brand you used. Need to do my 2019
Do you happen to have the link to those shackles or part number or brand to them ?? Thanks in advance
Where did u get the drop shackles? What brand are they?
I'm also curious as to what brand was used, thinking of doing this to my 2015 instead of raising the front.
Do you HAVE to take the hitch off to do this?
I have the same truck but a 2016, I didn’t take my hitch off when I put my 2 inch drop shackles on.
No you don’t took me about a hr and 20 to do mine and didn’t take my hitch of waste of time
How did u bend that pinch weld
Did you need to shim the axle after drop shackles installation?
Link to shackles?
Yall did that much harder then what it had to be
so did you guys happen to just install the drop shackle in the back and keep the front stock or add leveling kit to the front with the drop shackle. I have a 19 Duramax and want to level the front 2" and drop the back 2" baby squat. but like the video!!!!
you have no sense in taste lmao
Get you some sulastic shackles with the 1.5 drop. Remove your third leaf spring and replace all your shocks with Bilstein 4600 series use spacers for front shock and if you turn the front up be sure to get Kryptonite or Cognito upper control arms. You'll like the ride.
@@mattward330 you won’t be able to tow as much
@@JN0777 doesn't stop me my truck stays loaded.
did you guys need to return the bolts to a specific torque when tightened?
