Sylvie,if you read this i know youve been to Santai Gym before. but they are great, especially Kru Lop is a multiple time Rajamadern and Lumpinee champion and hes reallt sweet and funny. Hes also a beast in the clinch
That shoulder roll tie break he shows is first day wrestling stuff. Have you thought about taking some grappling classes to further improve your clinch? Thank you so much for the video and commentary.
I'm still scratching the surface of Thai clinch technique which is incredibly deep and varied. No need to move to other disciplines. I have far to go in this discipline alone. My passion is for Muay Thai, I live in Thailand. This video was also made 4 years ago.
@@8limbsUs I know the Thai clinch technique is incredibly rich and I love all your clinch videos. I didn't mean to sound condescending and I know you are commited to the Thai tradition. I was just curious if this is a consideration for you and didn't actually notice this is old footage.
@@favamendes I'm sure there are things of value in other fighting arts and disciplines, but...it's almost like someone telling me that I should study Karate or TKD to help with this technique or that. It doesn't mean that there aren't pieces of knowledge to be found elsewhere, but Thai clinch is a complete and beautiful art on its own, the best stand up striking grappling in the world, and my time is best spent just trying to master it on its own terms, taught by its best teachers and practices. I know you didn't mean anything by it, but for years I used to get regularly commented on by a racist guy who would go on and on how Thai clinch is inferior to (Caucasian) Greco-Roman, and that Thais don't know anything, blah, blah, blah. It's a sore point for me.
@@8limbsUs I love your clinch videos precisely because I find things in them that I don't in wrestling material. Also, watching your channel constitutes most of my experience with Muay Thai, so I'm not familiar with cliche comments Muay Thai people receive. The "why not wrestling, though?" is probably one of them and I should have been mindful of that. Thank you for engaging and for your wonderful work.
Amazing video thank you sylvie! I work on my clinch more than anything and I have a heavy lock game. This video definitely shared many hidden gems. How do you think would do against this fighter now? His style reminds me of Sangtiennoi.
Sylvie, in all honesty, your channel is a Gem!!! It should have ten times more subscribers and likes!!!
This is amazing, your commentary is incredibly helpful for muay thai newbies like me lol, thanks for the video

Are they the same gym teaching muay boran on RUclips?
I don't know. Lanna Muay Thai is the same gym as this gym, but under new management.
