IMO, the best figure base of the year has to go to the Reading Steiner Kurisu figure. Happy holidays!
Licensed figures are over rated and over priced anyways with less details nowadays. You felt like the quality of your unlicensed figure was good enough to make your number one for the year over your licensed ones regardless so don't worry about what any critics would say. It's your collection to appreciate and it's not theirs to judge. If it makes you happy? Then their opinions don't matter and they can take their low self-esteem of themselves else where. Only a person that thinks less of themselves would try to make someone else feel bad about the things they like that doesn't hurt one else. Even though your style of choice in figures is different from mine, I can still appreciate that you have a great love for them and I feel you should continue with your collection that makes you happy.
My top rerelease of the year was the Banana Fish Ash & Eiji Kotobukiya figure. Actually all of the BF ones cause those aftermarkets were insane.

Congratulations on your move! I actually have both Myethos figures that are on this list and you're right, it was love at first sight when I first saw the designs! And they both turned out so gorgeous. I love the metallic paint and details on each and one of my favourite things about Time Compass is that her hair has a reflective purplish sheen that is more visible under light. Absolutely beautiful.
But I'm looking forward to another year of videos in your new space. Merry Christmas and a Happy new year!

The new house looks amazing! hopefully you have lots of space to put the figures! for me personally, the Violet Evergreen one was a big hit... I had it in my cart for like a week and I was loving it but the price was just a bit higher than my usual ones... and the day I decided to buy it, it went sold out and the price has been nuts so far! later on I saw your video about it and it was worst to see how good she was really! very nice pics!

You, me and 586 other people agree with the number one choice, just a stunning figure and base. Good job Prism studio. Not sure I’d prefer the vampire Miku over the Kentaro Yabuki racing Miku, but it’s close. Theyre both special. But anyhow, nice to see you in the new home, looks super cosy.

In terms of my top figures, I only ordered 3 this year: Amakumi Kasumi, S-Fire Emilia, and Alter Iori Fuyusaka (which hasn't arrived yet lol). Sadly the first two have quite bad bases, and the torso of the Emilia is quite loose so she falls of kinda easy...but both look incredible imo and I don't regret getting Amakumi Sumi over the Megahouse one 😅 The Alter figure is going to be my first one and I do think that'll take my figure of the year
6:09 Alter is such a great company, I just got their Overlord Lupasregina 1/8 figure today, really nice.
I want to get an alter Asuna, I have an Alter figure on the way but I dont actually have one yet. I hear they are good but im worried about the support rod bending over time and if its worth 250 other sites have her for 300+ I feel like its an Asuna tax. lol

I love my Flandre alter figure and soon Remelia figure set! I plan to get another vortex figure, possibly black heart. Their footprint is bigger than a lot of 1/4s despite being like 1/7... As for resin, I really would like that giant 1/4 chun li figure by uh eagle... eagle something....

I'm so jealous, I really want Caroline figure, I've got myself Pink twin tail bunny-chan from Sakiyamama and then got to know there are 2 more figures from the same artist. Mio Blue looks gorgeous as well especially when you put them side by side with Caroline, wish there was another re-release 🥲
I'm so glad that you got the tanned Caroline. I know you really wanted to get the original one. I love the tanned look, but as I already have the original, I don't think I'd want to get another one since she's so huge.
The figure that I was most looking forward to and would probably been my number 1 figure this year that was supposed to be released this month. But it was just pushed to January, it’s the Bombergirl Aqua by Amakuni, I instantly fell in love with it.

I definitely agree with your choice of the Vampire Miku for best value! She looks so amazing! I think the Pop Up Parade Ls are way better than their standard PUPs! I can’t wait for the Strawberry Miku as well because I think she might be the best released figure! But I also think the Card Captor Sakura is up there!

I started collecting this year so i dont have a large collection yet.
Great list. I was really expecting Caroline to be on the main list. Violet is beautiful though. I'm also not a huge fan of unlicensed, a lot of them don't match the proto and aren't very high quality so they are a big risk. Plus I much prefer backing the manga artists and animation studios.
Freakin GOATED top figure. I love Violet Evergarden. We just got a Vivy scale im praying for a Violet

The fact that the manufacturer hasn’t payed the company who owns the IP wouldn’t even cross my mind.

I love Kotobukiya, they’re great. But with a rerelease I just want Union Creative to rerelease Misato, I want that figure so bad.
