Hi everyone! Today I'm back with a review of a bunch of the Wonderfestival announcements from the recent Wonder Festival 2024 Winter. Honestly, there weren't that many announcements that blew my mind. What did you guys think? Let me know in the comments below!

Personally I just like looking at figures so every wonfest is fun for me, this one I only have 5 for sure preorders but I know a lot of people who felt like this was an amazing wonfest so I'm just here to remind people that everything in this hobby is subjective and what might be not exciting for you is amazing to someone else
There were a few figures I'm really excited about. I was so excited to see another Wangxian figure!
I screamed when I saw the Winry nendo! Let’s hope best girl will receive more love! Still dying for a scale of her😢
I really liked this WonFes! Great variety and also some surprising announcements.
I love Abigail, the "licking baking soda" one and cafe waddledee!
The tooth fairy that you mentioned in 21:35 is a character from a new gatcha called reverse 1999! So it's not an oc :) I'm personally very excited about the march 7th nendoroid from Honkai Star Rail as well as the Kafka and Blade chibi figures from the same game, literally my two favourite characters
I agree, Stronger can do no wrong. Also, their figures are SO easy to put together
The Eva figures are from Sadamoto’s artwork from the manga, and are two of his most famous works. I’m personally quite excited about them since I love those pieces.
I had a lot of nendos and pups that I liked this time. The miku scales were great, and as a Kaiju collector, X-Plus is murdering my wallet.
Girl, i am 100% with u on Maid-Sama. I remember watching it when i was younger but not much so I decided to rewatch and had a full change of heart on the series lol. I think its good for ppl who like that story telling but i did not like the main guy either, he came off too creepy for me too lol
Me too! I adored Maid-Sama as a kid, I went to rewatch it recently and ended up not finishing cause Usui just pissed me off so much. It was really frustrating to see Misaki try so hard and put in the work she does, only for Usui to be effortlessly better than her at LITERALLY EVERYTHING. It felt like her character's capabilities were being sniped for the sake of "uwu womance 🥺"
After looking through the announcements I am so hyped for some of these figures. Didn’t look fully through the nendos the first time and the amount I regretted not seeing the super exciting ones for me was immense. NGNL was one of my first ever anime so the Izuna one is exciting, same case with the Inu x Boku SS announcements, Yato is an exciting one, orange rouge definitely had the most exciting nendos for me personally as well. I’m a sucker for Amnesia so the Ukyo announcement is super exciting, the itsuomi one from a sign of affection is so exciting as well, but the most exciting one was the Hikaru and Kaoru announcement. They were my favourites when I first watched it years ago so definitely gonna have to try and pick them up. With pop up parades I’m excited for Rin and Len, and the good smile arts Shanghai taiga. With the scales the most notable ones for me personally were the Kaori and Kousei scales as well as the Hu Tao scale by apex. Pretty exciting announcements that for me make up for the lack of number of exciting ones.
Great seeing you work with Figurama, I just got their Claymore Clare & Teresa busts 2 weeks ago. And I absolutely love that new First of the North Star statue.
I've been so good about resiting the TeaTime cats but omg the one with the bag of groceries 😭 I think I might finally cave, she's just precious!
I'm so happy I only found 3 for sure figure preorders and 2 more possible preorders. I'm happy 2024 thus far has been a slow year as my wallet will be pleased lol
for me there was lots of exciting things all of the Oshi no Ko figures, both Maomao scales & finally Vanilla & Chocola Wedding dress figures.
Those F:NEX Yoshitoku dolls appear to be a bit of a marketing scam. Someone made a video about that.

There’s so many of these figures I want from this, the new Albedo in her Armor, new eStream Megumin, 2 different Ayakashi Triangle Suzu’s, 2 Rias & 1 Akeno, 2 Mushoku Tensei Sylphiette figures & 1 Roxy, Union Creative Tenka, Goblin Slayer Elf Archer and a bunch more I can’t think of right now.
The Kama figure from Medicos IF they nail the paint job is a sure pre-order from me.
That witch miku’s pose kills me every time i see it so they better keep it that way

Slightly off topic but as someone who loves the author who wrote heaven's official blessing and her other two series, I don't super recommend starting with the donghua (animated) version of the master of diablism/mo Dao zu shi. They change and rearrange things so much that I feel it ruins a lot of the impact of major plot moments. The manhua is muuuuuuuch more faithful imo (and the manhua author/artist has drawn and uploaded the NSFW parts that they weren't allowed to keep in the official publication lmao). I still like a lot of the donghua (and the cornetto ads are iconic) but I don't recommend it as a starting point.

no I thought this wonfes was great. I had a friend there and it was packed. It's nice to see it get so busy again after covid
I feel I added stuff but nothing too exciting. There was a Tokisaki Kurumi one with her in a hanfu outfit that dropped my jaw. Probably a couple kimono figures I added to my wishlist, but mostly just to keep track of.

As a fan of SAO (mainly Asuna) & someone who's looking for a better looking Ai Hoshino figure, I'd say this was a good WonFest!
For Asuna, I'm really liking the 2 figures on 22:41. Especially, the one of her that's on her knees with her bra & underwear. Great size too! There's also the one from Estream of her & Yuuki.
As for Ai, I really want that figure of her with Ruby & Aqua when they were kids. It's so adorable!

I’m excited for the GSC Gojo and Geto scales (I really want to see Getos sculpt), the Inu x Boku SS nendoroids (I loved the series and I can’t believe they are getting nendos 12 years after the anime), the MDZS set looks lovely and I’m excited for the Yato from Noragami nendo too! I don’t hate maid sama, I think it’s a pretty run of the mill rom com tbh I don’t really have interest in the nendo since it’s not a fav for me.

For me wonfes was really great since there were figures of some series/characters I like. I especially liked the Noctchill nendo reveals cause I can't wait for that hoodie Higuchi nendo. And also the R:1999 reveals were great cause it gives me hope R:1999 will get more in the future. The overall affection for the Tooth Fairy figure is understandable with all the memes and fandom, but Druvis getting one before Reg or Matilda is just disappointing. Well unless Druvis gets an Insight 2 art design instead it'll probably receive just as much affection as the Tooth Fairy one.

Speaking of Figurama, I will never be able to own that Figurama Revy figure...
Oshi no ko, Kitagawa Marin, Lycoris Recoil, Your Lie in April, Azur Lane, and Blue Archive were the big winners of this Wonder Festival.
Funnily enough, I was most excited by the placard for the Hu Tao figure.
There were a decent amount of figure I like showcased, although half of them are already known so that's kind of meh.
Most excited about the two MaoMao, I really like her.
That Miku is 300 bucks? I must be broke.
I wish PHAT would stay away from GFL and NECO until they improve their paint and QC
Personally I thought this was a pretty good WonFest, there were a few things I am going to keep my eye on.
It wasn't a great WonFest for me, only 3 figures I liked and they are all pop up so it's great on the wallet.
Out of my four years of collecting, I give this wonderfest a 4/10😅

Honestly kind of insane how many figures she’s getting. Not a bad thing, I’ve just been surprised to see so many over the past year or so. As someone outside of the Guilty Gear fandom, it seems like the series didn’t get many figures before this point.
11:01 I don’t like them at all, doesn’t look like Asuka & Rei at all, the vast majority of Evangelion figures I don’t like, they just don’t look like them. I like the Kotobukiya ones, I like the Revolve, I like the Alter, that’s about it.

I agree that it’s not the worst one out there, there are much much worse ones like redo of healer🤢.
However, it’s definitely not a good show either. It’s full of lazy cliches and tropes that are done way better by other shojos from the same era. And Takumi IS a creep. He doesn’t take no for an answer and basically sexually assaults misaki (for example the time he gave her a hickey without consent just so that she can’t go to a bathhouse) all the time. He’s very creepy and pushy.
I think it’s your nostalgia speaking because when I first watched the show years ago I loved it and thought it was romantic. But after my brain developed more with age it’s clear that the show is just not that good. I’m going to assume you’re quite young because otherwise I can’t understand why someone would not see Usui as a creep

Gwyn out here speaking TRUTH about Maid-Sama/Usui, whenever I express that I find him predatory and creepy, I get crucified online XD Man can't even spell "consent" never mind respect it. Handful of new figures I'm interested in but I agree this Wonfest was a wee bit of a flop.
