Hi everyone! The time has come once again for my updated collection tour. In this video, I show my collection of over 200 anime figures totaling over $50,000. @@touko_blackmy dad saw my collection yesterday and said I had a better display than a collection/ comic book store would. I don’t know if it was a compliment considering I had a lot of figures than he thought but let’s just say he’s more understanding and accepting than my mother

DUDE the amount of figure information you retain and can recall at will is seriously crazy. Obviously an Excellent collection, good job Gwyn!
What's interesting to me is that she can recall a lot of info like what company produced the figures yet occasionally forget the name/origin of the character.
I'm quite the opposite, I know the name/origin of all my characters and quite a bit more beyond that, but barring a few(and the easy case in terms of 1/4 bunnies), I can't tell you what company my figures are from. I roughly have an idea from which companies I have figures from overall, but which is which... I don't know.
Exactly what I was thinking. I have a spreadsheet and MFC to remember all that stuff for me. My brain just can’t keep any of that stuff in there.
I started collecting since 1999 and just realized I spent close to about $200,000 since then, give or take. Of course selling and rebuying here and there since the pandemic again.
The level of self expression on display in your collection is actually inspiring to me. Very cozy, beautiful, and freeing.

ngl, i am a game artist in training who has to live in a small room in a shared flat with her boyfriend and you don't know how much your videos mean to me - i don't have a lot of money and every time i get a bit of money, i spend it on prize figures (which i honestly don't have enough space to fit here) and just seeing your beautfiul room with all these amazing figures just makes me so anticipated to finally get a job and money, so i can also make my space look like yours one day. I struggle with depression and i sometimes lose the fun of collecting dolls/figures because i kinda forget the reason why but everytime i see you unbox a grail figure and i see the beauty of your room in the background, i just feel so much happier and excited to continue with both collecting dolls and...well, living - because seeing you bascially life the live i wish to have someday, i feel so inspired to work hard and make sure, that my room one day will look as cool as yours! :D ... okey, hope that wasn't weird, i just wanted to thank you for simply...being here and share your collection with us :D

Loved the video! Definitely was worth waiting for, and what an absolutely incredible collection you have! So much variety! Especially loved your Holo shrine and bunny collection. Also loved your art prints, especially the Erina one hehe. Definitely gonna take inspiration from you put some art prints behind some of my figures. As for a suggestion… you should get some more fate figures haha. Again, great video! You’re collection is a whole other beast, I’ve only got just over 30 figures since i started collecting last year but i’m getting there lmao

So excited this video is finally out! 🤩 You maybe want to put some faux fur under your kneeling bunnies though, having their tights pressed against a flat surface like that will wear holes in the fishnets over time and wear away the finish on their knees

Hello. My first thought was, wow, this girl could really pull off an Anne of Green Gables cosplay! Oh yeah, this a collector's video. I was a prolific collector in the 1990s, up until the early 2000s. My focus was garage kits. I've used Buyee for a few purchases but I've largely retired from collecting. I was buying from Yahoo Japan auctions by just dealing directly with the sellers and paying with international money orders. You have a great collection and it's nicely displayed. My collection is mostly still boxed up but I do have a display cabinet of the garage kits that I assembled and painted. (lol, just read you are Canadian. You MUST cosplay as Anne! Nippon Animation version. Yeah, no one will know who you are because of the generation gap but I would still enjoy it. I'm an old guy now)

Yeah I remember trying to put one together for the first time. It took me like 1.5 hours

@@brett103 yeah once you understand how to sort of tilt/slide the glass into place it becomes much easier.
@@toshiro-kano my main issue after figuring that out was trying to use the door instead of a side panel for the side lol. That took half the time.

My latest figure is the Yoko Littner bare leg bunny figure and she's GORGEOUS! :D
Had her pre-ordered last year september and came in last week.
My most expensive figure is the Prison School Meiko Shiraki catsuit figure. I have her pretty cheap compared to most aftermarket prices. Its not mint condition but its actually a steal for the state its in.
Currently got 1 figure on pre-order which comes out next year. Its the Blue Archive Asuna Ichinose bunny figure sitting on a gambling table. Cant wait! I kinda want to extend my Evangelion collection aswell, only got 1 Rei and Asuka figure. But I cant help myself and probably order couple of figures lol. Need another Rudsta probably.

The thing that's kept me from buying anime figures is because I like to either be casual or 110% with stuff with little inbetween other than the obvious price ranges
I always see clear shelves for anime figures but I think being an artist I'd want to make little diorama art pieces to sit behind many of the figures or make little scenes per anime and I'd hate trying to categorize random figures .
But I do LOVE the idea of trying to stick with a handful of series and game figures and having them categorized seperate

I was going to ask your opinion Rudsta Vs Detolf but at the end you said you really liked and recommend the Rudsta cabinet. I would agree the Ikea Rudsta would be my #1 pick and recommendation for people collecting anime figures. Also the Rudsta is the only Ikea cabinet you can mod and stack to make a mega cabinet out of I got the other Milsbo's cabinets as well

ha! I remember selling my Maka figure for like 250 or something like that a while ago. Needed the money for something :/
Same for my perfect Roberta - 1/6 - Chimamire ver. figure. It was a really rare piece b/c most ended up with either some sort manufacture issue or something was brokem. Mine however had 0 issues. Oh how I miss those 2 figures.
Be careful storing those boxes in the addict. They may end up how do I say, fugly. xD
One more thing to note, on your Joker figure. Be weary of him. I had a Nyaruko figure from Max Factory that after idk, 8 years of being on display decided to randomly snap at the rod. She wasn't leaning or anything. This happened either in 2021 or 2022. Just flat out snapped. Which makes me weary of my Strike Witches figures from Alter that have been on display since like 2013.

I actually saw very little pop up parade , including the new Hololive figures who honestly look stunning ! (like the Korone one). Surprised by this, you really go for the scales everytime :D
Outstanding collection. Im in school to be a machinist and as an almost machinist, if you ever design parts that need to be machined please please come talk to some of us first. our teachers were showing us prints for parts designed by other students in engineering and the solid models were completely useless there were a ton of overlapping lines, and lines not connecting, and geometry that cant exist in real life. and their designs were so obviously trying to hard to be aesthetic and not effective or easy to use or maintainable. i know this rant is super off topic but if there is any chance you do end up working with machinists please come talk to us. we aren't just button mashers. but yea that collection put me through a roller-coaster of emotions. some of them are sooo cool and some of them i would legit no joke die of embarrassment if anyone saw me on the same planet with them.
