    Love you Chirrut Content Wooooo. Great work!
    I’ve won 2 FLG tournies with him both times undefeated.
    The card I think that’s a secret sause to this deck though is Spark of Rebellion. Yeah it’s very expensive but vs boba or double control it can cripple them if you play it resource 4 or 5 turn before chirrut comes out and force throws. You also get to know what’s in their hand to see if you can make them force throw a high value card. I sideboard it and only run 1 or 2 and it’s won me games each time. Or late game right before super laser blast.
    Always thought that card was going to a bit out of aspect card!

    • @iamwooooo
      @iamwooooo  Месяц назад +1

      I found it tough to justify it at 4 cost because it would slow down the main game plan too much. I was thinking vs control it might be interesting, but found that the deck won't put enough pressure against them if it takes most of it's turn off playing it. I don't think we can generally afford to spend that many resources vs Boba without getting run over by their giant flip turn too. Great to see that it has proven successful though!

    Hey wooooo! Thanks again for the helpful video! I'm playing Chirrut since day one and I love the deck even though I struggle with it sometimes. I finished 9th in my local showdown just outside of the top 8 unfortunately but I had a blast with the deck getting clean wins vs Sabine, Green Boba and Green Vader. My main problem nowadays seems to be Cunning Boba. This deck feels way harder than the Green variant. Any tips/adjustments for this? Thanks in advance!

    • @iamwooooo
      @iamwooooo  18 дней назад +1

      Glad you're enjoying the deck! due to cunning Boba having 9 bounce effects, buffing non-Chirrut units is really dangerous. Also, Obi-Wan is a pretty big liability here because we can't risk him getting bounced by Cunning or Cantina Bouncer, so he's probably a cut post-board. You also need to consider resourcing non-units the first couple turns to possibly brick their Bodhi.

    I've been playing a pretty different take on Chirrut red which is probably less competitively viable but more fun for me. Guardian of the Whills has been my mvp. Obviously it's pretty vulnerable to removal but the upgrade discount makes it really versatile. On turn 1 you can play resilient to buff it for free, on turn 2 you can give Guardian a lightsaber and still have a resource left over for Force throw or buff it again with resilient. I don't even maindeck Kanan or Yoda anymore, I prefer to run devotion and resilient which I can pile on Guardian in the early game and then pile on Chirrut after deploy.

      I mulligan for a good curve. 2 drop to 3 drop is really important, and vs sabine in particular I want open fire. Force throw is the best card in the deck, but without your unit curve in the 1st 3 turns, it won't save you.

    How often do you find you need that 7/8 cost self force throw? I like the look of the deck (its also the only competitive deck I own even close to the cards for), but I'm short a Luke/Mace. Wondering whether to sub with a 3rd Redemption for the 8 cost or go with an otherwise more useful curve unit?

    • @iamwooooo
      @iamwooooo  16 дней назад +1

      I think another curve filler is fine, the main plan for throw is not to 2 for 1 yourself, more an option when you can get a big blow out on an important unit.

      Will be the same strategy against any of these hard control decks. Deploy on curve, try to blow up their hand with Throw/K2/Forced surrender. The games they get you feel bad, and sometimes they just have on-curve answers in to the board wipe.

    I've played a Chirrut red list for a while and it's getting destroyed by heavy control decks, my meta is very heavy control and didnt find a solution against that even with maining K2 and force surrender. I think sparks of rebellion may be an answer though.

      When I’ve had trouble against Chirut it’s been the pressure on my base health. I play Palpatine blue. I agree though, if I see Chirut on the other side I’m generally feeling good.
      The discard is a big deal though. I have to hold a cheap card in hand to feed to your force throw and post board need to be thinking about things like forced surrender.
      If you’re not closing the game out in the current or next round, choosing discard in K2 is also really constraining for the control player. They’re having to be super careful about how they deploy their cards.

    I absolutely can't understand how you think this list is favoured against Han. I get manhandled every time. 😅
    This list ramps so quickly and has so many nasty units. I don't know how I should destroy their hand. Should I play Force Throw prior to having a force unit? By turn 3/4 when I can start playing force throw with a force unit or K-2SO the match is already pretty much lost.

    • @iamwooooo
      @iamwooooo  18 дней назад

      I haven't felt like Han gets out of hand. Our early game matches well enough in to their early units, and our removal is quite strong against greedy ramp lines. Our flip turn is very strong vs them a well. Han also doesn't have good ways to deal with a geared up Chirrut. I still feel favored here, and targeting their hand is a powerful strategy if they start using resources to ramp.

    • @christianeggemeier1505
      @christianeggemeier1505 18 дней назад

      I think it depends a lot on the draws. If the top deck cards are exactly what they need (Home One or Hans) it's tough.
      I started to bring out Chirrut earlier and managed to finally win a match. Maybe I interpreted the advise to not deploy Chirrut before their hand is destroyed in a wrong way. 😃
      But nonetheless a very fun list, can't wait to take it to the upcoming store championships. 🤘😃
