Poggy's editing is soooo good man I can't get enough of these episodes. The de saturating greens and blues when post-game Otz is talking just scratches an itch I didn't even know I had. And that zoom effect on the exit gate at the end? 🥜

@NoName Worm honestly I think it really depends on their individual skillset when playing by themselves, although it was a good game! It's always fun to see how pro players overcome hardships while playing. GGs.

Twists, turns, ups, downs, excitement, disappointment, joy, pain, suffering, redemption....this series has it all.
This series is like a thriller movie, I love it.
that demo match at the start is my daily venture.
Playing killer these days at higher tier feels like you are just a clown at the party survivors are having ... the fact it ended the way it did feels so bad man.
Edit: remember kids, according to devs you "really have to try" to overheat Billy's chainsaw, also, how do they do it? that's the neat part, they don't (Pick rate is abysmal now lol).
I mean, it's either go out of your way to overheat or use your chainsaw 90% of the match like Otz did.
Yeah, based on the math, the only time is consistent mismanagement of the power. And that is mostly true, the reason the pickrate dropped so much was the nerf of the 2 only usable addons in the PTB.
Also, as for the difficulty, it really depends. If you have lower end survivors, a survivor sided map and survivor sided RNG, it feels like the game is impossible to win.
However, the opposite is also true, lower end killers on a killer sided map and killer sided RNG feels impossible to win as survivor.
Besides, every single meta shake up there is a shift. It started out with Killers and Mori's(especially Billy since he had old Tinkerer as a basekit perk and had no pink offerings or addons besides Mori and Moon), you literally were forced to exploit every single infinite in the game as survivor to be able to win against a Billy. These were the days why survivors brought old BNP's with them, because they absolutely had to do 4 gens instantly before Billy killed 1, then all he had to do was find survivors near a gen and bam, second kill. Considering Billy was the most picked killer on the higher ends and that Nurse was released before Mori got nerfed, absolutely killer sided.
Then Mori was nerfed, as was BNP, so next meta was the saboteur meta. Since killers now required 1 hook before a mori, survivors started spending time on removing every single hook in the game except the basement. Also the first patch where I remember killers camping, since Trapper became a lot more popular again(his traps were absolutely nasty, and disabling traps took longer than wiping out Hag traps in this patch). The game was overall survivor sided, but you'd have to sit through a lot of slugging if you did.
But nowadays? I think it really depends on the patch, available perks and kits of killers. Some patches are really in favor of lower tier killers. Your killer has by far the most influence on the game being in your favor or not, a Huntress will fare a lot better than Trapper on practically all maps but 1, the map is a secondary influence, you'd have a lot better results on Dead Dawg than on Cowshed, and the way you play is tertiary, keeping everyone injured while tunneling is a lot easier to get kills than it ever was before, but camping affects you negatively.

You hold a blink for too long when the Survivor is really close, you get punished with a longer/slower blink. Same principle.
This series was a dang nail bitter. Def had me on the edge of my seat each ep. Need MORE
I really like the storytelling and editing of this series. It fits so much better to this kind of streak than just a compilation of some interesting matches. I appreciate the work you put into this, thank you ❤

1:05 While flashlight saves take skill and preparation I think we can all agree that sometimes it can feel quite bad to have your well earned down taken away like that, specially if you are having a rough time.
the devs made the flashlight window much more lenient recently, so i cant even say its that skillful anymore

@@rtristan8572 killers butcher about clicky clicky stuff they removed the ability to readjust a flashlight blind timing, as a trade off they made blinds piss easy

My heartrate jumps up when I watch some of these games. Super stressful but lets me know that even great players like Otz experience teams like this. Makes it feel less painful lol.

Excellent editing as usual.
One thing I didn't enjoy was the cliffhanger at the end. It's one thing when you tease a future match and it's another when I've been watching an entire match only for the ending to be snipped. I don't feel suspense right now, I feel frustration.
It's not like in chess where this would give me a chance to ponder the situation and try to see how I would have solved it myself or what kind of move(s) can be made. DBD is literally a magical tea party hosted by the Chaos Gods, literally anything can happen to wildly change the outcome of a match. This is more like cliffhanging the ending of a wrestling match or a football game.
Saying those kind of vids are awesome would be an understatement. The narrating, the music you choose, fcking love it
I love this form of episodic content to be honest. It's really entertaining and the setup and commentary is fantastic. Good stuff as always Otz, keep it up!

Something about this series hits different! it's just Otz playing DBD as usual, but its very thrilling and unpredictable; I was watching that first Demo game assuming you'd execute some miracle to win, but no, you lost, which was refreshing because I didn't expect it! Love the All Perk streak, Mr Otz!
i recently had my first game on my favourite killer where i had an entire 4 injuries and 1 down when the last gen popped with all survivors escaping on 1 hook, an absolutely soul crushing experience and i dont know when i will feel right playing killer again
Just practice killer and you will get better
13:45 new survivor perk, Carpenter. Collect scraps from destroyed pallets to construct additional pallets. Would literally make Killers stop playing as Shack Pallet get's remade 5 times a game.
I think one of the reason why you have those close games are because they are trying to get out with 4 people. In my games people are just leave as soon as the exit gate are open if they are injured or after getting healed ignoring the other people on hook. If people just left with 2-3 people and accepting that they can't save everyone then the challenge would be even harder than it already is.

Forget Dateline NBC. Forget the Mandelorian. The DBD All Perk Streak is what I look forward to every week. I know some people probably hate the cliffhangers but it adds to the mystique of the series for me. Always looking forward to more Otz

otz doing the grand-master of all challenges in DBD is horrifying to think about, someone having to go through that kind of challenge.
I respect otz for giving props to survivors even in difficult games, especially when also getting flashlighted during such a difficult game

I’ve got quite a lot of hours on hillbilly. Shattered Square map is actually great for him imo, since all of the tiles are medium sized, and slippery. You can slide off of almost every barrel or piece of debris that makes up a tile, as well as the hay in a pile. And same goes with the cart and fence tile. But it really only works best if you have at least an engraving and know how to curve to some degree.

Repeating what everyone else has already said, this series is an amazing treat. Ups, downs, drama, great information and tips, amazing gameplay from both Otz and his opponents, cliffhanger endings ... it's better content than half (at least) the original programming on Netflix right now. 🤔 This series is just another reason why you are the best content creator and ambassador for DBD that the game has, and it's not even close.
And the Borgo is a nightmare. Whoever is in charge of visual design for maps deserves a raise, with all of the new maps (and the reworks) looking gorgeous. The person(or persons) in charge of balancing them, however ... 😬
