So the buttercream is just butter, powdered sugar & water. Then she uses it in smaller batches…flavored? What a wonderful idea. I am going to try this. 🤗
That’s right! 🥰
Yes I would love to see how she decorates a more intricate cake. Thank you so much for sharing this with us. This is very helpful.
You are so welcome!
Amazing how fast she decorated that cake. Thank you to her for sharing with use all the great thing that she does in here bake shop
Right? She’s amazing!!
@@SweetDreamsBakeShoppe she is. Do you think she is willing to share some of her recipes?
So nice to see Canadian content! I grew up in Langley, just across the river from Maple Ridge, and visit my daughter in Maple Ridge every so often. What a great bake shop! And I love that you include pricing info in so many if your videos.
Oh yay! I love seeing locals on my channel 🥰🥰. Hope you come visit Happycakes some time
I'm over on the Island in Victoria, BC.
Aloha Ashleigh!🌺Thank you for another great video!
can you please show us how to get cream cheese icing at piping consistency without it being too sweet❤️
😍😍 this was MADE for me! 😍😍😍😍
Oh my goodness! My cake! 😭😭😭😭
Beautiful cake!!
@@FrailSerenity thank you so much! 😭😭 That means a lot! ❤️
@@HannahMattoxoh wow! I would be so gassed 😅 but it's a very beautiful cake by the way ❤❤
Wishing everyone a happy weekend!
🥰💕
Yes of course I would love to see her make something epic. 😍

Beautiful! Can you please make a video on your piping techniques and piping tips used for cupcakes 😋
Wow I'm so inspired....God bless you ❤❤❤.
So glad!! 💕🥰
I was looking at all the amazing things and I was like I really like the one in the middle and then I see it says Gabby on it and that's my daughter's name.. I think it's a sign I need to get that cake!!!LOL 👍👍👍❤❤❤🎂🎂🍰🍰🧁🧁🤭🤭😉😉
I’m loving your cakes and cup cakes I wish I could be as good as you I’m just a old fart just doing things for friends and family I wish I had started when I got back from desert storm you are a great inspiration to young bakers thank you
Aww I’m sure you are fabulous! There’s always time to learn more too 💕🥰
It literally took her three minutes to decorate that cake and that’s pretty amazing!!
This was beautiful ! Such an art!
🥰💕
Beautiful bakery and 🧁🧁🧁🧁🧁🧁🧁...
Thank you ladies!
Yes I think that's my issue as well not mixing long enough 😅
Oh yes! Mix mix!!
Absolutely. Bring on the decorating. 🎂 Do the display cases have refrigeration?
That is basically the way I make mine. I go by feel.
Yes! 🍰🥰
Hi yes would like to see more video's of Rachal latest fondant cakes
🍰💕🥰
I love your videos.
I would love to see the order form or get a printable of it ❤️ I’ve tried to find some online but hers looks so simple and easy to fill out I have trouble trying to make my own
I concur... I would love to see her too. Or even a similar template... just in case she doesn’t want to share her personal form.
You should be able to recreate based on the screenshots with no effort?
Your videos make me wish I didn't live in Ontario 😭
Yes, I want to see Rachel do a more complicated cake! I can barely bake, but I love these videos. I'll get up the courage one day..
You should come visit BC! Lots to see and do 🥰🥰
@@SweetDreamsBakeShoppe it's my dream to take my kids on a cross Canada road trip one day. They're only 4 and 3 right now, so I'm not sure how much they'd get out of it at this point. BC is definitely at the top of my places to go ❤️
@@FrailSerenity Driving through the prairies is a bit "meh" in my opinion. The scenery is fantastic once you reach the Rockies and all through BC. Don't forget the Island too (where I live). Vancouver Island is spectacularly beautiful.
She's really a pro!!!
Indeed!! 🥰
Great stuff. Thanks.
You're welcome!
Love all the videos…so real and fun! Does HappyCakes do shipping to other areas? It would be impossible to ship to Guam 🇬🇺 in the Pacific but would love to send to my brother in California. Thank you!
Aw they don’t. It wouldn’t be able to maintain their level of freshness and quality with shipping
@@SweetDreamsBakeShoppe thank you! ☺️ beautiful bake shop and wonderful cakes and cupcakes
thank you so much!! is this the crusting buttercream?
Amazing video content. What size does she use for cupcakes? They look bigger than mine.
She buys them through a wholesaler and they’re slightly larger than regular cupcake liners!
Do you know the brand she uses for her icing sugar and butter? If so, can you provide the links to order them? Thanks in advance
How do you get these beautiful cakes using a Swiss meringue or Italian meringue icing
What brand of butter does she use? Or fat content level? Thank you.
So the butter cream is just the butter, sugar, and water. And flavoring is any kind of flavoring? ( Vanilla, strawberry, etc.)? Or is it just the food coloring?
She uses emulsions and pastes to flavour and then certain buttercreams do need some food colouring 🙂
@@SweetDreamsBakeShoppe thank you!!!
@@SweetDreamsBakeShoppe The cake decorating videos are mesmerizing, I love it!!!
Are these butter cream stable in the heat?
How does she get it to not have that shiny glaze? ( glaze over) ? And what do you mean by compounds? Thank you a
Hi Ashleigh, what size is this cake that Rachel iced?
And how much is the cost of this cake?
Where I'm living $2 is one US$.
I believe it was an 8 inch and the signature cakes are $70 CDN :)
Can I assume you don't use any shortening? If not does your buttercream crust?
She doesn’t. It still crusts up!!
Do you have any recommendations for USA vendors for bakery supplies?
I’m not that well versed in suppliers in the states!
@@SweetDreamsBakeShoppe yes ma’am thank you I loooooooovvvvvvveeee your videos!!
hi can you make a video of how to write our order the money and all.
Mmm scoops of icing sugar? I guess you need to kinda experiment with measurements which is what I did to get my American Buttercream recipe
😂😂yeah she herself didn’t actually know exact measurements! Tried my best to explain
How do you manage with heat sensitive situations?
The AC plus the fridges really keep things super super cold to combat against potential heat issues, but we still recommend cakes be kept in room temp and no hotter.
Yes please
🥰💕
How do you stop sprinkles from dissolving on buttercream?
That hasn’t actually happened to me. In what instances is this occurring?
@@SweetDreamsBakeShoppe I'm making homemade sprinkles... One of the recipes is powdered sugar vanilla extract water corn syrup and meringue powder... But researched a little bit and read that royal icing on buttercream dissolves or melts has to do with the moisture in a buttercream... So I made another batch left out the meringue powder and after four hours or so same situation... So now I've made another batch leaving out the corn syrup and meringue powder to see if the decoration on the buttercream... I make cupcake toppers for cupcakes and trying to figure out a recipe that will not melt on buttercream I've use candy melts and yes that seems to work however it is messy and my opinion and wants the candy melts start to solidify in the piping bag it clogs the piping tip😩 I've also used white chocolate but it spreads too much for the decorations I'm making... So with all that said basically I'm trying to make Toppers in advance that won't melt once they hit the buttercream... Any suggestions 🤔I know it's a lot 😅
This was so sad !!!!!!!I I got so excited to finally get the recipe , and then when I watched the video it did not help me can you break it down to one batch....
I would start with a block of butter (454 grams) and then add cups of sugar until it gets to that thickness that you saw and then add a tablespoon of water at a time until you get that thick, but smooth consistency!
Why don’t you want air in your buttercream? Wouldn’t that make it more light and fluffy?
Because when you try to smooth it out on a cake or pipe it, then you get bubbles so the trick is to whip it so it’s light and fluffy, but not to the point of creating air pockets if that makes sense!
@@SweetDreamsBakeShoppe thank you!
Why does box cake fall and crumble faster than made from scratch cake?
Hmm..some of the boxed cake recipes I have tried have actually been fairly stable! It's all about which type of boxed cake mix you're using.
You can also send me something from her list since I don’t have anything 🤪
Your using a butter cream or whipping cream for cupcakes
American buttercream!
Hey ashleigh 👋Can you give us the recipe from Rachel 😊it’s good to get ideas and stuff from videos but it’s better to receive the ingredients to recipes I don’t like to just see chefs in RUclips videos just talking about how nice the cake looks and not giving us details and measurements to recipes...what’s the purpose of clicking on the video and seeing you do a nice cake if you don’t share the recipe mama 💕❤️🙏
I can’t give a recipe to something that the decorator herself doesn’t even have an exact recipe to. She eyeballs it so I gave the exact tips she relayed to me.
does she have a youtube channel?
Unfortunately no! Just a fabulous Instagram. I think she’s far too busy to run a channel as well. You can check her out @happycakessurrey 🥰
Buttercream is so awful.
