There are a lot of good options these days. One of the top on my list would be New Riff SiB. Those are some bangers, for sure and around $50-60 in my neck of the woods.
Love doing the Bourbon trail so much fun and beautiful scenery and lots of choices of bourbon food also is amazing like derby pie and the old brown amazing ❤❤❤
I purchased many different Pappy bourbons from Liquor Barn into the early 2000’s and still have an unopened bottle signed by Julian Van Winkle when he was at LB promoting the brand in 1999. Those were the days. JTS Brown is a great nutty pour for the money. In recent years, I was just excited to be able to buy a case of Buffalo Trace as we give a lot away as gifts and keep it in our decanter. Looks like you had a good time. Cheers!
Oh my! You were only a few blocks away from RD1 and James Pepper when you left Justin’s HOB. And for the record, the James E Pepper decanter bottle is possibly the best value pick-up of 2023. It’s so damn good, and at $65, a great value in my opinion.
You guys were being WAY to kind to the pricing in Justin's House of Bourbon. I call it "Justin's House of Bourbon Gouging". Don't pay $100 for a JD SBBP Rye. Those are $70 bottles of fairly available whiskey.
Almost nowhere to be found here in Louisville. Might be available in your area, but I've lived here in Louisville almost 2 years and didn't see a regular sized JDSiBBP until this past weekend.
Was just in Louisville over NYE and visited Bardstown. Too much of an Apple Store vibe in there but the people were nice and it is the easiest shopping experience for a distillery in downtown. I only picked up a hat since everything else was pretty available at stores where I can earn loyalty rewards.
Taking notes for my next trip to KY. Was just there in Nov '23 and was more of a distillery trip and not much of a hunting trip. Definetely need to add a few stops next time!!
“Oh literally nothing.” Y’all totally passed Old Louisville UCUF Cask Strength at that last Liquor Barn. Old Louisville Batch 1. Uncut, non-chill filtered. 8 year MGP. 114 p. Those old fashioned wax paper wrapped chewy caramels, creme brûlée, baking spices, red apple, milk chocolate, toasted pecan praline. Probably top 3 bottle I’ve ever tried. Not kidding.
Glad you enjoy that! We’ve never heard of it and don’t have an endless budget. We’ll have to get a pour/sample sometime and see what we think. Thanks for watching! Cheers!
I'd be disheartened to have to pay $50 for a rideshare to Wild Turkey just to see all they have available is regular WT stuff I can get anywhere. And yes, I'd have to pay another $50 to get back home.
Totally agree on Kentucky Spirit. So good, and so underrated.
Great video! Thanks for bringing us along, very educational.
My man Paul

Jd sbbp rye $65 in town
I only have seen them a couple times in my area. They’re always 100 bucks or more.
58.99 around me
@@snowman5641 That’s dirt cheap. I went to a bottle shop yesterday and saw it for $149.

The people are definitely nice there! But totally understand where you’re coming from. Cheers! Thanks for watching!
Very good Episode

Great trip I’d go broke in liquor barn.
Thanks so much! And we have to pace our spending in those stores haha. Cheers!
😭You put the K.Luke down! Really good stuff.
We got to try it this week and it’s great! Cheers!

Cool video my first time watching you. Live in South Florida. But go to the Tampa area every so often I'll have to check that spot out.
Thanks for watching!! Cheers!
Brothers of the Leaf refers to cigar smokers. Were you referring to a cigar blend you saw?
Perhaps a bourbon hunt in Colorado would be of interest? Great videos.
Slower camera movement please
Hope yall still grabbed the Prideful Goat rye, it's delicious!
Yeah at 80 dollars on Kentucky Spirit I’ll continue to sleep 😂
Wild Turkey and Russells prices went crazy here in Kentucky. I go to Ohio and Georgia.
Got two of the JD SBBP ryes yesterday for $65 each at a random store I almost drove by.
Yeah those were way overpriced at Justin’s.
Awesome! That’s great price! Hope you enjoy!
Grab the linkumpinch store pick from Justins. 7 year I believe and really good. And don't sleep on K Luke barrel strength and cab finish.
You passed on that K Luke in the store
Go back and get it it
Hahaha
We finally got to try it this week and really enjoy it! We might be picking one up! Cheers!
What do they charge for the Barrel Proofs at Four Roses? Fun trip guys! Cheers!
$110, but rumor is that prices might coming down.
@@robertlee6781 I hope so. Thanks!
Thanks so much! We paid around $100! Cheers!
Yes, Russell’s store pics are regularly over $100 these days :(
Slow down a bit with the camera when you’re browsing the stores…ADHD? 😂
