#americanreacts #britain #british #uk #scary #ghost
I visit Whitby about 2-3 times of year, and it’s an amazing place 🖤
It’s full of old tales and atmosphere.
Definitely worth a visit during Whitby Goth Weekend, the costumes are fabulous.
I would eventually love to live in Whitby. ❤
I second this. I go to Whitby Goth Weekend every year, it's incredible!
Good luck the house prices are insane!
I love Whitby but sadly I need to use a wheelchair and with it being such a hilly place it's not fair on my husband having to push me.
I’m coming back as a poltergeist just to get revenge on everyone who has fecked me off
Great video and perfect for my birthday
The towns, villages and cities in the UK have histories going back hundreds of years, some go back to 1066, this means history is all around us, and part of that history is ghosts. witches and legends that have evolved over time. I grew up in a small village called Portchester, which is next to a Roman Fort that became a medieval castle, it is supposed to have three ghosts, including a while lady. As children we would go down at night to see if we could see one.
Portchester Castle... I have been down before and seen a light in the tower which is totally unexplainable! Shivers thinking about it.
Also had a spooky experience when in the London Road bomb shelter too quite some years back
Lots go back much further than 1066. Plenty of roman towns. Derby was a roman town called Derventio
White ladies are two a penny to be honest 😂
@@okantichrist lol. along with wandering monks
@@MorleyGames1 Yes many do, many go back well into pre-history, thousands of years. I'm from Norwich, our castle built for William the Conqueror, was a wooden castle there before it was built too, and pretty sure people were here well before records began.
That's the British people for you underplays everything. We're very calm over any issue
well until the news tricks people into panic buying then its like an American black friday
@@theaces3697 I've never really paid much attention to the newspapers,
The most haunted city in the UK is probably Edinburgh.
There was a great fire in 1824, almost the entire population used the underground tunnels which connected the various merchants around the city for shelter, with all the burning and wreckage blocking all the exits they all suffocated or burned to death in a what became a giant oven.
They do ghost walks down there today and many people hear voices of crying, or even a child which tugs on your leg occasionally, its very eerie and most people experience something down there.
Yes. Known as "the vaults", underground Edinburgh is scarily creepy. A brave person it is who goes down there.
I love you guys, you're such a cute couple. But i'm sorry. I think I love Charleigh more than you 2
We have a ghost cat in our house. We see it wandering around from room to room, or sleeping on a bed. I just want to hug it and give it love but I'm glad that it feels safe with us here.
🙀
@@graham5426 I caught mine on camera, I think it's my dead cat William. He had died a couple of months prior to me catching something on my phone.
@@rachaelghostcat8584 Upload the footage please.
I would love one of my cats to come back as a wee ghostie.
The part with the Werewolf is from the movie An American Werewolf in London made in 1981. Great movie 👌
I live near Pendleton. The true story is a sad tale of ignorance and bigotry. Another great video, my man.
Oh yes more ghost stories please. The UK is steeped in a rich and colourful history with lots of stories to tell. 👻👻
1 criticism i have for this channel is JT pauses the video and speaks and continues the video from the pause point but doesn't go back 5secs when it's played again. Some info gets lost between pause.........your reaction.......and play again. Just ship back 5s (press the left arrow on the keyboard) to remind us what the context was
3:45 Scottish bairns (children) dont need adult help to fight vampires bro... we're a different breed 🤣🤣
I have seen many ghostly things here is Scotland. Usually when I'm Blind Drunk.
Anna's kickass lol she'll protect u jt from the spooks and Dracula was wrote in whitby
There's an Inn (pub), called the Golden Lamb in York where I live that's supposed to be the most haunted in England. In the same city, there's also the Guy Fawkes Inn (guy that plotted to blow up the Houses of Parliment), which has had some ghostly goings on.
Char-leigh was reacting to TJ getting freaked out by a Man/Dog attacking a German Shepherd! 🤣
Sorry if I didn't spell her name right. She's lovely, Milly too. Sorry if I didn't spell her name right either! 😅
You should check out the video on here 'Ghosts of the London Underground' Some scary stories from staff that seem to be very level headed.
That’s a great documentary mate, it changed my mind
A bloke down the pub told me he was sitting at home eating a kebab one night when he saw a group of hooded figures appear in his front room the next thing he knew it was 3 hours later he had an unexplained head injury an his house was smashed to bits, he still hasn't found his t.v, wallet, ps5 etc. We just think it's a prankster type poltergeist.
The more I see programmes about ghosts, the more I know their not real. I used to watch 'Most Haunted', it's one of the best commedies out there.
Glasgow kids are tough! Did you see the instant justice that was dealt out to a potential terrorist at Glasgow airport?
I have seeing a ghost in my house it was a lady in her wedding dress she walk up the side of my bed truck my covers in both sides of the bed one side of my bed was against the walk I felt my mattress, myself been lifted upone side then the other has she talks the covers in then she put a cold hand on my head I saw a walk down side of my bed through and through a closed door years later I found out it was my auntie visiting me I had l never seen a her before until I went with my dad and visit at my uncle at is house & sore a wedding photo on the sideboard of my aunt.my aunty died when I was around six months I call her my angel mum it was so said she couldn't have kids of her own she wanted to adopt me l was told by my mum but my mum said no dad wood not like that ❤️👍
They admitted the Hampton Court Palace one was a hoax. JT and Anna, are there any good ghost stories near you ?
Love you guys+muddey feet. :-)
Love from Wales xx
I live near Pendle hill, there are images of witches everywhere you go round here. I used to cut trees down in the forest near the hill with my dad as a child l, and I used to find rings of rocks on the ground. It always made me wonder if people still went there practicing "witchcraft".
I live in the same area the sad thing is they were just ordinary people who got mixed up with the witch hunts.
I lived in the shadow of Pendle Hill when I was a nipper and went to primary school with a descendant of Alice Nutter.
There is a photograph, sadly now withdrawn from the public domain, of a snow witch on the side of Pendle Hill; she only appears, however, during heavy snowstorms.
@gillianhynes7120 very true, we're going through crazy times with the state of people these days, but at least this shows we've always been a bit mental.
@gingerninjawhinger9986 I'm not aware of the picture, I remember not to long ago they placed a picture of a witch/or similar image on the side of the hill, does it happen in the same place by any chance ?
@@benbritner961 There is a deep gully on one side of the Hill - I can't remember whether it's on the east or west side - which fills with snow, but the conditions for the Witch's appearance have to be perfect: a deep snow and quick thaw. I haven't heard of any recent appearances of the Snow Witch since J. Barnes' photograph, taken in March 1979. I did do a quick internet search and have found a copy of the photograph on Trip Advisor; just search *Pendle Hill Snow Witch* and hopefully, the image will be brought up.
They do. I know for a fact people go practicing things other than witchcraft too. A lot darker. It's disgusting because as kids we used to play down there and find allsorts. Dead animals were particularly traumatising.
I loved this video you should definitely watch more
I've slept in a priest hole behind the chimney in a building at Northicote farm which is apparently haunted but never saw or felt a thing so I don't believe in ghosts at all. Fun for a story though.
I wonder how they chose these ten in particular? They've got Dick Turpin (highwayman) at Heathrow airport apparently. I'd have thought he just appears looking very confused.
new video idea, anna and you shoud go on a ghost hunt at night
The battle of Edge Hill in Warwickshire (south) was a battle in the first English civil war. (1642). There have been many documented sights from 1643 to the present day. On the anniversary you can hear moans, screams etc. The anniversary is on 23rd October. If you go down the Red Road (named because the road was covered in blood) you lose telephone signals. I live about 10 miles away from there now, but used to live much closer. I avoided going up or down the hill on the anniversary up until November 1st.
When I was in my mid teens in the 90's me and my mates used to go in an older friends car to Blickling Hall (1616)(Not Norwich, but Blickling, 16 miles north of Norwich, were I'm from and still live). We would explore the grounds at night hoping to see something, but the most scary thing we saw were dark patches, that we thought were bulls as the gates we kept going through said beware of the Bulls, they were just bushes 🤣🤣
hi i used to live across the rd from the southern necropolis in the Gorbals , was a great play area lots of nooks and crannies to play in
Hiya folks, don't worry is anything ghostly visits you I'm sure Charlie's got your back 👻🐶.
The dogs are adorable and good to see you watching where I'm from! I started paranormal investigation with a team last year an I'm shocked xx
I have a friendly ghost in my house loads of stuff happen I had once place a hand on my shoulder it was that clear and there was no one around
That happened to me when I went to see a clairvoyant. She said my dad had his hands on my shoulders & I felt the warmth from his touch.
The Ricky Jervais Show. Please, you won't regret it.
Calling your female dog Charleigh isn't that weird, i watch Skizzleman and his dog is called Kevin Bubbles Malone Refrigerator Jimmy Madeye Dugan!
I once saw a ghost gliding up Whitby Abbey steps at 3.30 am in the morning. It seemed to glow, glide because it wasn't going up step by step. When it got half way up it stopped and seemed to stare right back at me. Then it carried on it's way! Still gives me the chills!
Then it mysteriously mEeoOOoowed and caught a mouse. SpooOOooOOky
@@Milamberinx It was 6ft tall and was in human form.
I saw a grey colored ghost once that glided as well, it glided through a wall of someones house
I've had a few experiences with spirits, ghosts what ever you want to call them , so has my sister and mum who worked in an care home for the elderly . Imprints of those who have passed is what I'd call it .
I'd agree with that, especially when you consider time doesn't exist, instead being space-time
There’s no such thing as ghost 👻
You should read up about the grey lady in the Cambridge Military Hospital 🙂🙂🙂🙂
I don't believe in ghosts because they're always wearing clothes. Does that mean your clothes follow you to the after world
For sentient ghosts, they may see themselves as being dressed? Residual hauntings are just like a video tape playing over and over.
Ho my god I hope not I wore flares and tank tops in the 70s.
Yes ghosts wear clothes it doesn't matter if they are buried or cremated
Hopefully you can take your mobile phone too. Play games, watch videos and really contact the living 🤣🤣🤣 just a joke. If ghosts were real, you would be in your birthday suit because you wouldn't be taking clothes with you and you wouldn't care what you look like to the living. If you was a replay like an echo, it's all just made up
A ghost is an apparition - paranormal phenonmen - it's not a flesh and blood person. It's like a window in time an image of that person at that moment. Unless the death or tragic event happened when the person was naked - then you might get a naked ghost!! 🤔
Sorry, I can't watch anything that uses WatchMojo. Find something more intelligent.
Duuuuude... you REALLY need to watch 'Nuke's Top 5'. It puts this WatchMojo video to shame.
A couple of really upset or terrified me. There's one of two little girls in a kitchen that start screaming at a MOVING shadow. Jesus...
It might not be ghost related, but there's a Boggart that lives around my village according to legend, strangely enough he's named Dobby, apparently he was last active during the Victorian era during a TB pandemic, he would heal sick children.
The important thing to know about Boggarts is to always pay them fairly, and *NEVER* pay them with money
that #1 closing those doors was proven fake unfortunatley. it was later found out it was a man in a period costume closing the doors
Glasgow is a city full of tough people. The Gorbals was probably the toughest part of the tough city. As an example, when a suicide bomber tried to blow up the airport, passersby beat him unconscious while he was on fire from detonating the bomb. Tough people, enormous hearts.
But don't mess with them. Even the children. Even if you're a vampire.
Just like your God, ghosts don't exist. GROW UP!
When I visited Mary Kings close in Edinburgh there was a room in which a young girl died of the plague. People leave toys and money in a collection box dedicated to the little girl which gets donated to the sick kids hospital in Edinburgh. We were the last ones in the room and I gave my nieces a pound each to put in the box. I threw my pound in "clink", my sisters, threw hers in "clink" my eldest niece threw hers in "clink", my youngest niece threw hers in "clink". We all started walking to the door and just as we were about to exit... "Clink". It was as clear as day and everyone ran out of the room as fast as lighting. My nieces asked what made the noise and I told them it was an old room with crumbling ceiling and it was probably just a bit falling into the bucket. However the ceiling was made of wood and it was unmistakably the sound of a coin being tossed in. I was the last one in the room and I am 100% sure it wasn't anyone else. I don't believe in ghosts but whatever it was it freaked me out for days.
JT. Do you have any Murch. I love your cap and the tan hoodie. Any chance, you'll release any of your murch??????
I like the way...get down Shep...that you are...stop gnawing on that boot shep...so focused on the...get down from there Shep...task at hand...stop doing that to Charleigh Shep...it must be nice to sit back and...let go of my leg Shep...just get on with it!
@annaandjt
The reason most spirits are aggressive and iolent is because they died in a violent matter.
Someone that dies peacefully at home is not gonna linger here. They are gonna move on.
It's the violent deaths that stay because they are angry and can't let that anger go.
So, they terrorize humans that come into their space.
Some of the others? Are either trapped by their own pain/suffering or are being held by the angry spirits and not allowed to cross.
You can confirm this by looking at every place that is haunted and then look at the history of what happened there.
9 times out of 10. You're either on a native american burrial ground or people were tortured and murdered there.
And many others transform.
They become malevolent shadows (which are NOT shadow people. Shadows mimic shadow people).
Another is La Llorona.
Another is Bloody Mary (the TRUE story,)
Depending upon the spirit, their will, etc, etc.
The spirit world is FAR MORE VAST than you could even begin to imagine.
And DANGEROUS!
In Glasgow even vampires, werewolves and their ilk better come prepared for a fight!! And thats just from the kids!!
To be fair, this WatchMojo video didn't do the topic justice. The only one I would consider an actual ghost sighting from the whole video is the one at Hampton Court, and it's also the only one with actual evidence shown to you. 😂 I'm sure there are better videos on the subject if you wanted to explore further.
I recommend 'Ghosts on the Underground'(you can find it here on RUclips), it was broadcast on TV for Halloween years ago and was all about the hauntings reported on the London Underground.
Watchmojo was wrong. Hampton Court Palace wasn't built for Henry VIII, it was given to him by Cardinal Wolsey in an attempt to stay in the King's good graces, supposedly Henry wanted it because Anne Boleyn liked it so much and he was trying to bed her. You can still see H and A intertwined in various doorways, ceilings etc all over Hampton Court.
'Worlds most violent poltergeist' house is just opposite from me. 30 east drive. There's a Hollywood film about it... when the lights go out. I honestly think it's all true, I get goosebumps walking past.
Omg I adore watching you both but think Charlie is stealing the show tonight lol. Anna you’re so sweet love your dimples. Lol sorry I’m not a weirdo ( I’m a 64 year old mum with two grown up children 45 & 43 years old xxx
If you think Britain is bad, try Transylvania lol. Not a joke with Hoia Baciu forest (the most haunted and mysterious forest in the world. Last time I was there, I caught someone on camera on my mobile. 26 degrees, no wind, absolutely calm. Coming down from Bran castle, there was a swing just.... swinging. No one on it, no one in the entire park, the location is kind of secluded. Yet all other swings were stationary. Be happy to send the clip if you want. That changed my opinion about.... everything.
I’m actually related to Anne Boleyn! Love your channel btw guys ❤
Can we have a Maggie and Charleigh channel. I think they both can get 100K subscribers within 24 hours. 2 dam cute animals ❤
I been down niddrie vaults in Edinburgh many times and gave seen and heard really strange things shadows voices and mist forming in doorways. So I with Anna I like chasing ghosts 🥰😅
Not all ghosts are visible.
But they make themselves known through moving objects, and the most sinister of all - spiritual sensations (you sense that something isn't normal).
Usually this is already picked up and 'announced' by animals - cats and dogs, etc.
My experiences have all found that they sense and see things long before we humans do. We then subsequently start to find out why our pets are acting so strangely.
There's something in the building which isn't normal.
Where is your hoodie you always wear it watching the ghost ones 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Well..."Mr Boots" share the place with a boy about 7-8 years old that is said to like to play with toys people leave behind and holding peoples hands. :) Don't remember what he is named...
Aww is that a little Cairne Terrior you have? I had a little boy one called Toby, he was a grump, which made him hilarious and we loved him for it. Dogs can pick up on vibes, so when my mum watches her ghost programmes, ours go as strange and Charleigh!!
There's some old roman cobled roads near where I live n I've gone down there at late at night/early hours of the morning, I've clearly heard footsteps moving behind me n around me, had small stones n rocks thrown at me n there's no one around, I've also heard whispering bur couldn't quite make out the language but it definitely sounded foreign like Latin?,other people I know have also had similar experiences in the same area!😱😂✌️
I think number 9 can be easily explained if you just consider hulls culture of dog human interbreeding
Im laughing cos as im watching your video my dogs Alfie and Lola are arguong over a chew bone exactly like Charlies....you shoukd do the Charlie show, shes so sad on the back of you two watching Maggie chew her bone. The Pendle Witches is true.... i grew up there...dogs hate going up there and i used to ride up there, but the horses wouldnt ever go uo there. The Hampton Court ghost was on the news etc...
Ghost hunting for 10k subs? If you're not too scared JT 😂
I have been on a ghost tour in York, led by the man who saw the Roman legion. He was an electrician not a plumber and actually fell from the ladder he was working on and ended up in Hospital. He described the soldiers as wearing green tunics. This was an unusual colour but one adopted by the Legion as a protest at being left behind when other Legion's returned to Rome. Also a later dig opposite the Treasurer's House discovered the remains of a Roman Barracks and Bath House. The gentleman in question gave up his electricians apprentice job and became a policeman. He did not reveal his story until many years after the event.
Sorry guys.... did not hear one thing you said...... was too busy watching your cute dogs... Poor Char-leigh drops her bone, and then you give it to the other one...
They should have provided context. Was that a German sheepherder called Klaus or a German Shepperd dawg? We need to know these things!
I was at Pendle hill in 2012 When all the people dressed as witches for the 400 year Anniversary.
Loving this channel and the star of todays show was....Charleigh lol
"This can't be real"...
You said it yourself lol
imagine only murderers and bad people become ghosts , because they wasnt allowed into heaven.
Dracula only landed at Whitby. He spent all of his time in Enland in a town caled Purfleet, Essex.
I haven’t heard of half of these ‘Ghost’ sightings 🙄. It’s also spoilt by the narrator’s fake accent. Love the two of you together 😂
I was a Welsh Guard in the 1960s when we were guarding the Tower of London around 4.15 am I heard a noise 😳 I called a mate in the next box but he heard nothing we went to investigate and we both saw a woman walk from a store room then disappear around a corner...I went to the store and he gave chase bus she vanished.. on the investigation of the doors they were padlocked shut...another guard that was stationed around the corner saw nothing but the guard himself... it was a very weird night... woke us up though
I used to live next to cannock chase, and they say there's a ghost there blah blah.
I was walking there one night, could hear something following me, but keeping far back enough that I couldn't see through the forest.
It was a deer.
A little ghost story, my husband on night shift me at home with two small children had go e to bed. Bed faced door I was woken by our 2yr old daughter at the bottom of the bed, told her to go back to bed and I followed to tuck her back in only to find she hadn't left the bed. Had to change my room around so I didn't look out to the landing. Had lots of othere strange things happen. Never been frightened though. Xx
Craig-y-nose castle should have been included. The home of the ghost of adenine Patti and children who died from TB
The guildhall in Leicester is supposed to be one of the most haunted buildings. Always had the shivers when I visited.
Most kids - run away!
Scottish kids - let's smash it's head in!
Wonder if I see my house on here! If you’d like the video it’s on RUclips 🤦♀️
'Why are all the ghosts murderers and scary things? I don't know if you've noticed but horror movies love a cute little girl as the main terrorizer.
Fun fact: York is one of the most haunted cities in the entire world with around 500 ghosts so...
It’s Old STINKER by the way guys 😀
I was born and bred close to Pendle Hill (it was the view from my bedroom window). It is a very special place and the energy can feel a little odd at times.
I'm from hull and the name is right, the drains stink.. they are more gullys about 10 ft wide that lead to the river humber that cut through the city.
7:20 thats supposed to be pornounced windermere it's the biggest lake in england and its up in the lake district
Oh I thought this was going to be like..actual ghosty footage :D like watching a ghost sticking a its creepy head out from the end of a hallway
Ghosts on the underground is a great documentary. Very eerie. I think you can find it on RUclips
I Don't know if the ghost or other entities exist, but this particular show was totally faked.
You should search up the Manchester office cctv or the Dover castle cctv ghost
Pendle witches is probably the same as the Salem witch trials in MA
Look up 30 East drive UK it's meant to be the most haunted house in the u.k or may even be England they made a film about it and the daughter and father went through life changing attacks dad in boiler cupboard got locked in never was same after that and the rather not as ghosts main target he assulted her dragged her down the stairs TV ghost hunters go there a lot and you can even stay there overnight if u want this is jodie using mates account phone broken😢
There's also a sweet little boy who likes to hold hands and play with u in the Edinburgh vaults so it's not just murderers and scary things
I live in Hull, I've never heard of The Beast Of Barmston Drain.
Yeah, to be fair ,The Goebbels area of Glasgow in the 50's was a pretty rough place to grow up
I am from where Barmston Drain is located and I've never seen the Old Stinker as locals call him!
