- Cold therapy has been one of my favorite practices for over two decades, from freezing bodies of water in nature to Russian spas and finally to homemade ice baths.
In the past couple of years, I’ve seen a few ice bath brands emerge on the health and wellness scene and have been eyeing them to determine which one I would eventually call my own.
When I first experienced the Mozorzo Forge, I knew that this would be the one I’d chose.
Now that I own one at home, it’s clear that my intuition was on point.
Some of the features I appreciate are:
The ability to regulate temperature all the way down to 33 degrees (or higher, should one chose)
The fact that it makes actual ice, not just cold water. Their unique temp system creates sheets of ice on the bottom of the tub, which eventually floats up to the top, to be easily broken up into smaller pieces *hot tip: throw some Epsom salt into the bath to get the magnesium sulfate benefits and also make the ice more slushy and thus easier to break up.
It’s EMF-free! Some devices with power and motors can create unwanted EMF, which reduces a cold plunge’s health impact.
Not only is there no EMF, but this bath is also thoroughly grounded and, in my yard, introduces a very high DC current into the water due to the metal tub and the ground wire on the power plug. This is a huge value-add.
Perhaps the best feature of all is that the water in the tub is cleaned using ozone, which can be turned on and off at will. Ozone is nature’s master disinfectant and keeps the water from growing bacteria or any other funk. My prior homemade chest freezer wasted a ton of water, time, and energy because the water inside would become swampy so quickly and often. The ozone feature makes the Morozko Forge sanitary and virtually maintenance-free.

can someone tell me what they are talking about with regard to the grounding currents? 900 microamps is an extremely small current, like its probably less then what most meters can accurately measure.
Is it good for passing in?
Yeah I rather buy a $400 chest freezer than pay 9k on this lol the ice freezers work just as good and they do regulate the temp fine

overpriced, aesthetically unimpressive (big plywood box), no more comfortable to sit in than anything else (not any more comfortable than a chest freezer). Conspicuous consumption. A chest freezer set up with ozone, pump and filter, temperature regulating switch, and grounding wire, achieves ALL that this does for a very small fraction of the cost of this ugly thing.
