you might want to use pillow cases and cover your sentros so that they dont get dust down in the the little peg holes where you oiled and eventually gum up the inside of the machine.
So, I don’t know if you noticed but your oil bottle is labeled “zoom spout”. So yes always pull the spout all the way out, you don’t need to hold the bottle upside down. You can just squeeze the bottle and hold the spout where you need it. My advice is to keep your bottle in a cup, they always drip.
Love these ear warmers, they are so pretty! Maybe you could make matching scrunchy sets with the leftover yarn, like an ear warmer and matching scrunchy set, that would be so cute!
in addition to oiling your machine, make sure you're cleaning out the dust and old bits of fiber that get caught in the works! i recommend using compressed air along with a small plastic brush like what they provide for cleaning out the feed dogs and bobbin case on a sewing machine. oiling the machine from time to time will help things move, but if the oil mixes with old dust it can turn gunky and make things worse 😬
I have Addi machines, as well as some vintage circular sock machines and sewing machine oil & silicone (treadmill lubricant) are my best friends for smooth knitting. I also take my Addi completely apart about every 100 tubes and clean the lint out and re-lubricate the needles. I also get really bored with using my Addi and it's noisy. So what I did is bought a motor for it. Now I can let it crank on it's own, to a certain extent. It can go fast, but that's super noisy, so headphones are a must. Instead, I let it crank slowly while I do all kinds of other things near my desk. Just a thought, since you are making as a business. You may benefit from seeing if there is a motor attachment for the Sentro, like there is for the Addi machines. Take care & have a great week!
i think the feeling of getting through an entire project on the knitting machine without drops or mistakes has got to be like top 5 BEST feelings in the world hahaha
i watched your other video about the ear warmers and saw how you sewed the twisty bit, so i crocheted a long panel and sewed it liked you did with the sentro ones. they turned out great and i have made a ton of them because they are so stinking easy!!
Hi Kelsie ❤you’re such an inspiration ❤ I’m 52 in ten days I’m like a big kid 😂 I’ve been crocheting for 8 years now and thinking of starting my own business 😅 better late than never... I can crochet everything but never use patterns so I need to learn those so I can expand.. I seems to be doing great though as I’ve hand crafted full size jackets, cardigans and coats just by watching tutorials except for one coat I did myself. I’m proud of myself and I’m proud of you ❤ thank you for all your vids and ideas ❤
So glad you solved the machine issues. Thanks to all your friends for contributing with solutions ideas. What a tribe you have😍🫶. Love the ear warmers. Really nice. Scrunchies to match is great idea too. Stay rocking and being the lovely you that you are. You are a breath of fresh air. ❤️.
Hi Kelsie, Love the last one you made, black and gray .I ask my kids that I want a sentro for xmas, , I think I will be getting one , Great video, Have a good day
dear Kelsie, it has become a ritual for me to watch your videos during my creative writing class since I always finish my work early. this one was very entertaining :)
Great job! 👏🏻 it’s so satisfying watching you crank those out. They are always so pretty! So thank you for your boredom while the rest of us are just so happy 😂😅👍🏻
I have been using my machines quite a bit for this season. It can be a bit annoying, but when it works…oh boy it’s great haha! Glad you found some solutions!!
I tried my sentro after your video when you had all the problems and I did also . I got so frustrated I'll put it away. I watched a video when the lady oiled it the took the whole machine apart and I thought no way was I doing that. So now after watching this video I think I'll try your way thanks for sharing. Your makes are beautiful 😊
Honestly it seemed like the oil helped because it wasnt quite as noisy this time. A lot like how people treat their sewing machine, if it is getting a little noisy and slightly more finicky it means its time for an oil or cleaning. Loved all the colors you used this time. Might have to try thise yarns sometime. Glad it worked for you! Hugs ❤
I’m so excited you gave it a go again!! I had fantastic luck with big twist and Caron simply soft, had to go on the tightest tension on the simply soft tho. LOVE your videos!!
This was So satisfying to watch! Glad you could use up some acrylic yarn :) I would love to see you make more vids like this. Keep up the good work! 💖💖
just saying i would absolutely buy the toasted marshmellow bubble split ear warmer in a HEARTBEAT. split dye is my whole personality and i recently shaved my head so its be awesome to have a split dye ear warmer hehe
Hi! I’ve been crocheting for a little while now and am just getting into knitting and the sintro machine. I don’t understand what your doing to close them up? Would love an explanation or even a tutorial?Ohhh and I ❤ your granny square cardigan pattern making one right now!!
When using Roving type yarn to avoid it coming apart, twist it a bit before, this strengthens the yarn a bit as it will have more twist and less likely to pull apart
I am so happy for you that you could "repair" the knitting machine and make a whole bunch of ear warmers. I myself tried to sell my crocheted ear warmers at my first market ever, but I didn´t sell a single one... Bummer... I sold 6 sweaters though. Could it be pricing??? I asked 10 euros for them, - maybe I should have dropped it to 7 or 8. Well, anyways... thank you so much for keeping ME and ALL OF US company whilst knitting and crocheting. LOVE following you 🥰
Thanks for the video like always. Maybe dont make so many headbands in one sitting to dont get bored and put them together when your hand hurts from crocheting. The best wishes from Germany. I hope your happy and not bored so you can put content out
I'm begging you to raise your prices. These are handmade items, some would say pieces of art in a way. Higher prices will help you earn more, help keep them from selling out so quickly, and it will better reflect the amount of hard work and artistry that goes into each piece.
My addi king was acting up after a year of use, and I watched a video tutorial on how to take it apart. I cleaned every peg, let them air dry, re-lubed all the parts that needed it, and completely wiped every inch of it down. it worked a bit better but I noticed that the brand of lube was the key factor. I used a cheap one from amazon that was recommended for the addi, but it was still clicking and I had to take it apart again. I couldn't find the other lube so I used one that came from my treadmill / walking pad and my addi has never been better! I highly recommend buying lube for treadmills as it tends to last much longer. I also take apart my addi every 3-4 months. I lubed my sentro and it worked just as well, but I had to take it apart as a piece of plastic got embedded in it. Please be careful taking it apart, it's very delicate / cheap compared to the addi. it works fine, but it didn't completely snap together and wobbles a bit as I use it. Luckily sentros are much cheaper, and it might be easier to replace it after a year or so.
My husband attached a drill for me because my carpal tunnel was keeping me from even being able to use that. He ended up switching it to an electric screwdriver and added a pedal for me. Much easier to control and no worry of the pedal overheating 😅
Hello from germany 😊 i love your Videos! You are a super cool person! The yarn for the earwarmers are soooo beautiful❤ in america the yarn is more colorful then in germany. Have a nice day
I've been finally finding yarns that work for my 48 pin Sentro (so far the list is Mandala and Hobby Lobby's I Love This Yarn). I just got some acrylic premier that I can't wait to try on there. My guess is 13 :)
Thank you for making this again and naming the yarn. I seen crochet vision used the machine oil too im going to try it. I know you like to knit hats but can you do a beanie version like this with the sentro?? that would be great!
you might want to use pillow cases and cover your sentros so that they dont get dust down in the the little peg holes where you oiled and eventually gum up the inside of the machine.
" I don't want to do anything"---- girl, me too. EVERY DAY😂

Yes! That WOULD be cute!
Such a good idea ❤
My daughter wants this machine for Christmas and I’m pretty sure she is getting it!! She asked her grandparents lol
😅😅😊
As a grandma, yes, she will probably get it for Christmas! 😂
I got mine on Temu for about $25 and it's legit! I've made tons of things and it's still going strong!
@karenh2890 yes me too. Can never say no

The stretch at 24:43 was very satisfying
Great results, good yarn usage and 10 items to sell. Good day's work! Thanks Kelsie!

i think the feeling of getting through an entire project on the knitting machine without drops or mistakes has got to be like top 5 BEST feelings in the world hahaha
So glad the oil/yarn change brought your machine back to life! I've found maintenance to be very important to any kind of machines performance.
i watched your other video about the ear warmers and saw how you sewed the twisty bit, so i crocheted a long panel and sewed it liked you did with the sentro ones. they turned out great and i have made a ton of them because they are so stinking easy!!

I definitely feel you on sewing and weaving ends. I do a cinch method with no waste yarn for that reason.
I looooove it when you use up your old yarn ❤😊 the teal color is my favorite.
Thank you for the tip to oil my pins. It worked.

As I was watching this video, I was installing my new Zestwrench on my Sentro. Total game changer! It plugs in and does everything for you.
The last one, the black and white one, is soooo pretty!
I love to see your vlogs. I liked all of your ear warmers.
