21:10 I've used the LAX-it to catch Ubers/Lyfts and honestly I originally thought it was ridiculous. But after learning about how long it can take to drive between Terminal 1-7, I definitely see the vision in it reducing the amount of cars on the road contributing to traffic. Overall, VERY detailed video that I definitely enjoyed
Honolulu International Airport in here is very crappy and needs to be renovated. Lines are annoying and it takes me 10-15 minutes and tsa gets long and I had not too bad food.
Hi Chris! Really enjoyed this! Got an idea! What about ranking the best Amtrak train stations for food, service, etc? There are many like me, who enjoy a good train ride! Thanks! Keep up the great work! You are doing an awesome job!
I hate LAX airport. Too huge, very busy & confusing. I fly thru Burbank now. It’s usually more money, but it’s worth it to me. If you ever have to go to LAX, leave several hours before your flight, or to pick someone up. Long lines everywhere.
I never had any bad experiences at LaGuardia, but that was about 30 years ago. Didn't find it to be all that crowded and my friend that I stayed with lived close enough that we could take public transit home to his place in less than 20 minutes!
YES. Just got my first vaccine dose and immediately started planning my next vacation. That's how I found this channel actually: going to Hawaii for the first time as an adult!
Actually La Guardia is being completely renovated. The issue with La Guardia I have is getting into it. They are reconstructing the ground transport roads so this causes traffic delays but it has been improved. NY state has poured tremendous amount of time and money to the redesign and renovations so the jury is still out.
Fine video but real greatness for the exceptionally well done description above. Did everyone click "SHOW MORE" ? I know that takes real time and work.
I'm so lucky most of my "domestic" airports here in Asia are rated some of the best in the world, like Changi in Singapore, Inchon in South Korea, Hong Kong, and Narita/Haneda in Tokyo...even Kuala Lumpur Airport in Malaysia is sleek and modern. Unfortunately Bangkok's Suvarnabhumi Airport is not among them...but at least the daily parking is only $10!
Interested to watch this as due to go to the states from London in sept. Flying to Seattle ☹️then via San Francisco ☹️to LAX😭 lol! Have been to Newark a couple I times the United hub terminal was one of the best I've ever been to but when came back on Virgin really disappointed with lack of facilities, especially as I got there really early !
I think the smaller American airports, such as Sacramento International Airport, get excellent reviews because they are easier to navigate and not as busy.
I recently flew through Philadelphia on my way from Burlington, VT to Greensboro NC and it's by far and away the worst airport I've been through. Old, outdated. No jetbridges to board the smaller planes I was flying on, horribly overcrowded and confused boarding gate area (there were about 6 planes all boarding within 20 minutes of one another, and the announcements were often unclear as to which gate they pertained to) , and 45+ minutes on the taxiway before our plane was cleared for takeoff. LaGuardia is a pretty nice airport, but getting to and from the airport into Manhattan is a chore compared to JFK or even Newark The worst small/medium airport I've flown through is Ontario, CA. I had an early evening flight out years ago and thought I'd grab dinner at the airport before I left. When I arrived, however, I found that all of the restaurants closed at like 6:30 or 7 pm, leaving me only one uninspired dinner option
36:15 I went there in March of 2020. Zero WiFi. Must’ve been VERY recently. I’ve been to Kona, Kahului and Lihue airports. Honolulu is truly a terrible, terrible airport for such a beautiful place. It is also large, and especially confusing if you need to connect to a different terminal.
Please don't associate TX with bad Houston airport please. We here in TX already think bad of the place for most conversations so we know the embarrassment, but we're not all the same. Love there show please keep up the AWESOME stuff👍😁
When I know I’m going on vacation, being at SFO or Honolulu Airport..for longer period of time is a plus for me, because it means my vacation is starting or I get to stay on my vacation location is longer I love these airports for fun
Chicago O'Hare is by far the worst airport I have ever been to in my life. We landed and spent an HOUR taxing. We passed our gate twice and made laps around the entire airport. Flew United and we past the United Terminal twice and went past the American Airlines terminal. Then they changed our gate and the gate to my next flight. Finally got on the plane, finally pushed back and didn't take off for another hour because we were taxing. I have actually never had a probablem at LAX. Other than TSA Pre-check one making me just do the regular stuff like taking shoes and laptops off.
We've been lucky enough to have flown quite a bit this past fall, and we found that Newark wasn't too bad. We were in the renovated terminal B. Food was okay. So glad to see that JDPowers ranks my hometown airport, PHX Sky Harbor, at the top. Terminal 3 is getting a beautiful renovation with lots of post security dining (though Covid has put a dent in that) and our sky train construction is on its last phase.
Found the bus between LAX and Union Station pretty good. Little choice but to land at LAX for those of us flying from Australia & New Zealand to Southern California. As far as I know, John Wayne, Burbank, Long Beach and Ontario have no international flights, except maybe to/from Mexico and Canada.
I couldn't catch this stream live with it being too late, but I really enjoyed watching this one back! I'm surprised LAX wasn't higher up on the list, but that is probably my least favorite airport in the US (I have not flown out of any of the NYC airports yet). I only had a layover at LAX, but how you described the process of transferring from an international arrival to a domestic flight was spot on. I remember having to walk outside the airport and go back into the airport into the domestic terminal. I didn't have any problems at customs (my arrival was early in the morning), but the domestic terminal for my flight home to Detroit was very small, and I had about a 2-hour delay. One thing I do like about LAX is if you are landing at the airport from the west. It was really beautiful to see the California coast as you land at sunrise!
Have you done a best airports in U.S.? When we cruised alot we used Ontario International Airport. I loved that airport, clean, well laid out and it has grown quite a bit since we used to live in Corona. We would even leave our car parked there for the duration of our cruises it was so nice and Groupon always had deals for long term parking there.
I actually enjoy the LAX if I am flying out of Tom Bradley terminal. That terminal has excellent shopping and dining, can’t wait to try to new Centurion lounge there!
Wow, never liked PHX, MIA or LAS. IAH is the most confusing place I've ever been went through there a couple years ago connecting on a flight to Auckland. A psychopath must have created the signage. One recently renovated area was decent. I have hope for LGA actually. DCA was a toilet like that and it only has only one real runway. It's a decent place now. EWR does suck out loud. ORD, I didn't mind if I was in the UAL or AA terminal. I found once the new runway renovation were done, delays were much improved.
I flew ANA (United) from IAD to HND through LAX. Absolutely NO signage for connecting flights…in fact you have to leave the terminal, walk up the street to the International Terminal and do TSA all over again.
Very late to this video but I wanted to add that the new SLC airport is amazing! Also DIA is doing some renovations which should make flying to denver much more enjoyable
It would be great to hear about the best places to travel in the US, whether it’s cities, states or attractions! I’m looking to do a road trip next year and need your great advice!
SFO is a terrible airport for weather delays. I used to work there and I used to tell passengers to fly out of Oakland if they don't like delays! I used to joke "Oh no, a cloud in the sky! We'll get a delay!"
The American Terminal 3 at ORD is iconic and just as nice as Terminal 1 where United lives. Terminal 2 is a mess and will be torn down to build the new terminal.
Yeah right LAX #7, then there's no way i want to use 1-6. Horribly run, nothing is convenient. I grew up in Inglewood, my dad still lives there, so he is always called to pick up our out of town guests. No matter how much renovating they do it doesnt help. That place is a total nightmare.
Late to the party but Honolulu airport deserves its ranking. It’s a poop show. Plumeria lounge in the inter island terminal is the Priority pass lounge. Much better then the one you mentioned. Aloha.
DSM Des Moines. While their service is incredible. Check in and baggage drop in under 30 minutes. Baggage claim takes less than 15 minutes most of the time. The problem is that it’s way too small. It only has 10 gates and has a surprising amount of daily traffic. Many airlines are starting to commence service to DSM but it gets to the point that it gets too crowded. Add to that the food options are very sparse, and it just needs to be remodeled. Thankfully they know that it’s getting overcrowded and they are building a second terminal but honestly driving to this airport is kinda crazy as the runways come just a couple of yards to major streets so sometimes it feels like the planes are going to land on your car.
O'Hare is like Heathrow, just far too big and difficult to navigate. However, flying into the airport it seems to me like the airlines are instructed to overshoot the city and make an approach turn over Lake Michigan so passengers get a great view of the Chicago skyline before landing?
Not sure about other airports, but MSP has security before you get to the gates, so EVERYBODY is lined up at the same security. It was so nice when I was at De Galle in Paris and the security was at the gates, so only the people using those gates went through that security and ir was a lot faster.
In November of 2021, I ordered an Uber to pick me up at LAX, curbside. I saw the instruction on how to get to the lot which looked confusing and time consuming. So I ordered an Uber to pick me up.
As a New Yorker, I prefer LaGuardia over JFK or Newark ANY DAY. JFK and Newark cost an extra $60-$70 to get to by cab or take an extra hour to get to by train. If I have to stand in line a bit longer, that's okay
Oh I have so many opinions about this as a constant business traveler (pre pandemic). Newark is my home airport, so I can't escape it. I agree that security is terrible and delays are frequent. Security is substantially better with TSA PreCheck and/or CLEAR, but it can still be a bit of a trial sometimes, especially when the drug-sniffing dogs are out. The frequent delays are primarily because of the layout of the runway. The details are fuzzy, but the runway is positioned such that even minor winds stop everything. Customs is typically a nightmare as well. But if you're flying domestically out of Terminal C (United), it can be an okay experience. United has spruced up Terminal C so the food offerings are much better, and there are a couple of fun boutique food courts/bazaars that are somewhat entertaining. Although they've crammed the aisles with bars and restaurants such that it can be very difficult to line up to board a flight. I have 1K status with United, so I don't have to wait in lines anymore, thank goodness. Despite all of that, I still feel a little hometown pride for EWR. I can't explain it, especially as an Orange County native who loves traveling out of Long Beach or John Wayne. Hey, at least it's not LaGuardia!
Internationally, I agree that the Naples airport is pretty bad. My worst so far was in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. But I primarily chalked it up to cultural differences in timeliness, queueing, etc. Gotta roll with it when traveling internationally.
Since PHL is my home town airport and I use PHL the most I think it is one of the worst airports out there. When I was in the USN back in 68, 69 & 70, I used to run to baggage claim to see if I could beat my baggage to the pickup area. This is when they used to load and unload all of your luggage. Now, ugh, it’s not a pleasant experience. TSA never has enoughTSA agents on duty and the lines are horrendous.
@@YellowProductions As for Cheesesteaks, I don’t think so. Term. A & D have a Chickie & Pete’s shop it is a heavily reduced menu from their restaurants. You should try their Crab Fries they are their signature appetizer at all of their restaurants. They may sell Cheesesteaks or pulled pork sandwiches their. If you ever come to Philly, two of the restaurants that you have to go to are Chickie & Pete’s they sell THE BEST BAR FOOD HANDS DOWN. Crabs, mussels, clams, cheesesteaks, pulled pork, their menu is quite extensive. Now if you want the best cheesesteak in the 5 county region you have to go to MaMa’s Pizzeria on Belmont Ave. in Bala Cynwd. They are between City Line Ave and I76. OMG! Go hungry. They have been in business for 60 years! They are not the cheapest but they never skimp on quality. DONT GO TO PAT’S OR GENO’S in South Philly, they are living on their past reputation, what they sell now is garbage. Instead go to Tony Luke’s or John’s, they are #2 in my book.
Fort Lauderdale is maybe my least favorite airport/transportation center in the entire world -- and I've been to over 60-something countries. The TSA queue is awful, the CBP queue is awful, the concessions/food are awful, and the weather is awful. Shockingly awful airport.
Chicago is actually really efficient for such a large busy airport. I'm confused by these rankings to be honest. Midway is an absolute crap airport with the worst food.
You have to update this. LGA no longer the worst Beautiful new Terminal B with Ample TSA, bright with high ceilings and nice food courts & restaurants. Terminal C improved but Security Still too Small. Terminal D is stellar also
I agree with SFO sucking. It's really inconvenient for those of us that don't live on the Peninsula and all the air lines pretend Oakland and San Jose don't exist. On top of this, the traffic flow in sucks. It's almost like the road layout is designed to cause road rage and I'm surprised there aren't more crashes there. I disagree with the standard that a good airport is like a mall. That's the thing I hate the most about modern transit centers. Being like a mall is why I don't like DIA and Denver Union Station. I prefer the terminal areas feeling like a lounge instead. Malls are hectic, crowded and tacky so I don't like them or anything like that.
I live in the North Bay Area, and I agree that getting there is a pain in the ass. The earlier the flight, the more inconvenient it is for me due to having to get up hella early to get out on time and to avoid getting screwed over by traffic, especially on the Bay Bridge. That’s why I stayed at the Grand Hyatt there the night before my most recent flight out of there last week.
LaGuardia is infinitely better now than it once was and doesn't deserve to be on the list anymore. Terminal B is absolutely gorgeous and spacious and delays are significantly down thanks to the new sky bridges. The old, dumpy LGA hub terminal that you talk about is history now and the other, more mediocre Terminals C and D head hubs will be gone by next year as well. LGA is a beaut now and even the transportation problems may be remedied by an AirTrain from midtown, although whether that comes to fruition is TBD.
In LAX, you forgot the HELL called uber lot! Also, the exuberant fees uber charge you to GO to LAX. Last month, my $68 uber ride became $99 total bill from all the ridiculous fees!!! In O'Hare - the WORST airport I have ever been at, they make WAIT OUTSIDE IN LINE for taxis in BELOW ZERO temperatures - this was pre-uber Era but I bet they still do stupid things like that because Chicago.
(PHX) SkyHarbor International Airport one of the Best Yay for Phoenix! They always say " Welcome to America's friendliest Airport " I guess it turned out to be true..
PHL is not that bad. Terminal B and C were recently updated...there are phone charging hookups all over every gate. The food offerings are good. You people must not come in through American. Terminal D and E are not as nice as Americans terminals. I never had anyone there be rude to me and the baggage came out pretty fast. In fact the last time I flew before Covid...I waited for my bags longer in Houston and Orlando than I did coming back to Philly. It's not filthy in every corner. That's a crock.
Traveled to Nashville Tennesee from southern California last week. We flew out of John Wayne. It's a nice airport and not confusing like LAX and obviously much smaller.
I have only been to the US 4 times as a Brit I have flown to JFK, Vegas, LAX and Orlando intl and by far the worst was Vegas, The didn't have a clue how to board a plane, they said they were going to do it by the section stated on your ticket, they called first class then didn't call another section so everyone was just sitting there untill most passengers had enough and just went on board regardless, security was also a solid 3 miles from the gate as well, atleast in Orlando you get a train. LAX was the worst for getting to and from of as you stated the traffic was shocking. JFK was probably the best of the 4 (Terminal 8 atleast) fairly straight forward and the BA gate was pretty much the other side of security. Orlandos perk is its only 20 mins up the Highway from Disney but the arrivals Hall was far far too small for 3 777's/747's worth of people from the UK which all arrive at the same time.
Newark Terminal A (Non United) & B (International) are filthy and nothing to see or eat. Terminal C (United) is much newer and very large. Lot of shops and places to eat and they do have newer Polaris lounge if you can get in which is suppose to be good. Last time was in C was a year before the pandemic and it was crowded and flights get delayed but overall not as bad as A&B. LaGuardia just redid their Terminal D&C which supposedly looks great. However last time was there took Terminal A (Marine Air Terminal) which is exclusively for Jetblue and it's awful. 100 year old building with gate area's with low ceilings, sucks.
If you actually look up that Asiana flight that crashed in San Francisco it had nothing to do with the runway length the pilot didn't know what he was doing
" A well run shopping mall': if you want a shopping mall then stay home and go shopping; airports are for traveling, not shopping. And let's be realistic, you will never find an idea airport, as everyone has complaints, so in essence, this is futile.
✔️ Missed my video on the 10 BEST AIRPORTS IN THE WORLD? Watch it here: ruclips.net/video/zN72QuanKt0/видео.html

Sorry I missed this one live. Thanks for another great video mate

Hi Chris! Really enjoyed this! Got an idea! What about ranking the best Amtrak train stations for food, service, etc? There are many like me, who enjoy a good train ride! Thanks! Keep up the great work! You are doing an awesome job!

YES. Just got my first vaccine dose and immediately started planning my next vacation. That's how I found this channel actually: going to Hawaii for the first time as an adult!
Great video, we have been to 5 on the list. We dislike Philadelphia the most. You should do The 10 best Airports in the USA.
Thanks Chris.
Thanks Colleen! That's an achievement traveling through so many of the bottom airports :)
It would be very interesting to hear Top 10 online museums: virtual tour worldwide.

At IAH (Bush-Houston Intercontential) Go through TSA at Terminal A. The lines are usually much shorter

The Cleveland airport had AMAZING shopping! Got some GORGEOUS costume jewelry there!
I left los Angeles LAX which is like a comfortable shopping mall to Miami which was like a grey hound bus station which surprised me
please talk about airport rental car agencies ranked
I'll consider that topic Daisy!

Hah
Thank God Detroit isn’t on here we get ripped on enough 😂
Hah
Sad Chicago was on there. I mean I do understand but I love ORD. My second favorite behind MCO
If you are flying into Los Angeles... Try to use Burbank instead of LAX.
it's worth the extra $100 or so vs. LAX. 5 minute walk from parking to security, 3 minute security line, 3 minute walk to gate.
Not possible if you are flying to/from anywhere outside the US, Mexico, or Canada.
I live outside of Phoenix, yes the airport is fine, however, the roads to leave are poorly marked to get to Interstate 10.
ORD isn't as bad as people say it is. The hate is overrated. It's bad compared to Singapore or Doha or Zurich sure but not compared to LAX or JFK.
I flew ANA (United) from IAD to HND through LAX. Absolutely NO signage for connecting flights…in fact you have to leave the terminal, walk up the street to the International Terminal and do TSA all over again.

London Heathrow......Fab Airport 🛫.....Nice & Modern and So Efficient 😊🌟
Terminal 5 is atleast, terminal 3 makes La guardia look like Singapore 😂😂
The United terminals in O'hare are much newer and larger. Chicago still had older, tighter terminals,
Also enjoy the In N Out right next to LAX, excellent for plane spotting and the food of course!
It would be great to hear about the best places to travel in the US, whether it’s cities, states or attractions! I’m looking to do a road trip next year and need your great advice!
every time i get off a plane in newark i feel like ive stepped into a literal garbage can.

Takes 20 minutes by train to get from Penn station to EWR and cost 8 bucks (at least last time I went in Jan 2020).
Can I suggest a video?
10best airports in the USA 🥺
Thanks for the suggestion Ale!

I haven't been to Ethiopa.. but I could definitely see how that could be worse than Naples :)
Any good Philly Cheesesteaks in the airport?
SeaTac has needed a renovation since I was a kid in the 70's.
they need more gates but have like no more room
Chicago is actually really efficient for such a large busy airport. I'm confused by these rankings to be honest. Midway is an absolute crap airport with the worst food.
Guessing now LAX is on the list 🙌🏽 Pre pandemic traffic was INSANE
Yup!
You have to update this. LGA no longer the worst Beautiful new Terminal B with Ample TSA, bright with high ceilings and nice food courts & restaurants. Terminal C improved but Security Still too Small. Terminal D is stellar also
JFK was one of the WORST experiences we've ever had. My best friend and I are both autistic and they treated us like GARBAGE!!!
Time for the best airports in the US :)
VERY surprised Las Vegas wasn't on there
I agree with SFO sucking.
I agree with you. I prefer the loungey vibe
Newark is in NEW JERSEY NOT NY
Top 10 friendliest cities in the U.S.
Long Beach is sometimes cheaper in fligjts
LaGuardia is infinitely better now than it once was and doesn't deserve to be on the list anymore. Terminal B is absolutely gorgeous and spacious and delays are significantly down thanks to the new sky bridges. The old, dumpy LGA hub terminal that you talk about is history now and the other, more mediocre Terminals C and D head hubs will be gone by next year as well. LGA is a beaut now and even the transportation problems may be remedied by an AirTrain from midtown, although whether that comes to fruition is TBD.
O'hare is definitely the worst I've been to. Richmond also terrible for cancellations
Yay Phoenix!
the only good thing about LGA is the landing approaches and take offs, if your a flight buff
Yes, I hate JFK. Some heavy truck run over my cases. Long delays. Boring. No shops and atmosphere.
From Central London. Great and enjoy watching you.
Traveled to Nashville Tennesee from southern California last week. We flew out of John Wayne. It's a nice airport and not confusing like LAX and obviously much smaller.
I have only been to the US 4 times as a Brit
I have flown to JFK, Vegas, LAX and Orlando intl and by far the worst was Vegas, The didn't have a clue how to board a plane, they said they were going to do it by the section stated on your ticket, they called first class then didn't call another section so everyone was just sitting there untill most passengers had enough and just went on board regardless, security was also a solid 3 miles from the gate as well, atleast in Orlando you get a train.
Yes La Guardia is the worst
HNL needs a make over..
Spirit Airlines would make any airport bad.
16:55 GTA airport!
U don't need to go outside after an international flight into ft Lauderdale
PHL was just fine. ✈
I hate DFW because they have some of the rudest TSA officers in the Us
Newark Terminal A (Non United) & B (International) are filthy and nothing to see or eat.
Eppley Airport in Omaha and the Atlanta International Airport are the worst.
If memory serves me correctly, LAX was quite nice. NO meltdowns or drama here!
" A well run shopping mall': if you want a shopping mall then stay home and go shopping; airports are for traveling, not shopping. And let's be realistic, you will never find an idea airport, as everyone has complaints, so in essence, this is futile.
I thought number 1 would be blucifer’s home Denver international
What about bathrooms?
