    Sicario is one of the best films I’ve ever seen portray tension and dread in the way that it did, and it doesn’t get talked about enough, really. Coupling it with suspense just gives it an edge over films that just so happen to be more popular. So underrated.

    Holy fuck whoever edited this video had a field day with this one … like literally not a second wasted. Props to the editor 👏 and as always great work Tyler!

      Fantastic movie, fantastic video. Didn't realise how much I could still learn from a movie I've already seen like 20 times!

    Hey Tyler, I just want you to know that I can't begin to tell you how grateful I am to you. My journey of Filmmaking started because I got you as my mentor. A year ago I could not even imagine that I can actually write some good stuff but you made it possible. When I'll shoot my first SHORT I'll show it to you indeed. Thank you for existing!❤

    I still can't get over how the 1st Sicario movie showed how gritty and risky this line of work is, full of grim moments that would make you want to avert your eyes but would lead to your death if you're not looking... and then the sequel comes along and just paints it as an action hero type stuff that strips away the moral conflict of the original.

    Basically: stories are propaganda.
    The better the story, better the audience will leave the film believing the "truth" and avoiding the "missbelief".

    • @victorfelix3354
      @victorfelix3354 Год назад +1

      The problem then is: what is truth?
      Can one, with all its problems, fears, prejudicies, desires, etc, define a "truth" worth telling?

    The biggest stretch for me about "Sicario" was "Law-abiding FBI agent."
    Nonetheless, a great film. I think the scariest scene was the interrogation, with Alejando sitting down to do "something" with that huge bottle of water. We then cut outside the room and only heard a brief moan from the vicitm.

    Excellent video that makes for a really helpful resource. Thanks so much for posting! Just one correction, from 8:50-8:55 it should say, "YOUR STORY'S CONCEPT AND SET PIECES... "

  • @KutWrite

    Tyler/Nehemia: You guys do so well with video and post-production. May I suggest a quick proofreading before locking the graphics? E.g. in this one, displaying "stories" instead of "story's" and "seperate" v "separate."

    • @KutWrite
      @KutWrite Год назад +1

      Correct, Mr. Anderson. In both examples, the first word is what the graphic said, the second is the correct one.
