Bonsoir! Ma robe prefere est courte et blanche. Mon marron manteau d'hiver est dans le hall a cote de ma veste.
Thanks for the vid, Alexa! I think I will quite enjoy learning this series ;) One question, as I'm learning the ordinal numbers: do they change according to gender? Do you say 'premiere partie' but 'premier jour' or something like that?
Thanks again and sorry for the lack of French diacritics. I haven't mastered the French keyboard yet :)
Yes that is true. Everything depends on gender in French. Be it numbers or words. So yeah..
* mon manteau marron * ;)
In the US a pullover is not a jumper. A jumper would be a low cut dress with no sleeves under which one wears a blouse. Or it could be a one piece pant suit.
J’aime beaucoup étudie le français avec Alexa.
Good job
Hi Alexa

merci beaucoup vous etes superbe en français et j apprend avec vous l'anglais
I am Hispanic so some of these words are easy!
In Morocco, we were taught to call it Tricot. In fact, this is the word still used in Moroccan dialects. First time I came across the word pull-over was in my English glass first year high school (Lycée). Then when when I moved to the US many years ago, they looked at me funny when I used words like pull-over, waist-coat and trousers , and learned to say sweater, vest and slacks instead. When I visit France these days, I have to remember not to sound too old and try to remember to say pull-over instead, a word I never thought I would use ever again in speech. Weird but I’m also a linguist and I appreciate the dynamic nature of language.
Je vous suis reconnaissant
🙂
I like you vides.🙂
This help a lot thank you very much
aren't shorts called la culotte? and thnx a ton btw u helped me a lot
it's the old word for the shorts, but it's outdated now. the meanning changed and now culotte means usually slip (underwear).
Hey there ! Why there is 'du' in front of pantalon ?
Des chaussettes rouge - some socks red
some red socks -------we have it back

Alexa I need your help in French in my school I am learning french
thank you so much for your support Alexa . but I think it is better to transliterate une robe as gown in english rather than just dress , because dress includes a lot other.
Danke fräulein, du bist sehr sympathische. "Au revoir".
This is the best series of videos I've found. I am practicing french as I will be taking it in college this semester and next. I love the teacher she seems very friendly and kind. She shatters the stereotype that all French people are rude lol. I will be recommending this channel to all my classmates. Great videos!
Hi
With the sentences 'une robe longue' et 'une robe courte' Wouldn't those adjectives come before the noun because they are to do with beauty and size?
you can say both, but this case is the more usual. it depend on what you want to emphase.
Vocabulary
Les vêtements
Un gilet
Un manteau
Une robe 👗
Une veste
Un pull-over
Un pull
Une chemise
Un short
Une jupe
Un t-shirt
Les chaussures
Des chaussettes
Un pantalon
Hi
Can i use the term 'chemise' to refer to t-shirts as well?
+Adam Red I think T-shirt in French is 'un T-shirt' or 'un Haut'
Rimbob .coffee in haut means a top
