“በፈርቃ በር በኩል እርጉዝ ሴት እንኳን ብትሆን እንዳታልፍ ጠንክረህ ጠብቅ” አሉት።
ከጥቂት ቀናት በኋላ ደግሞ ሌላውን ወታደራቸውን ጠርተው “ፈረስ እያለዋወጥክ ይህን ወረቀት የጁ አድርሰህ በስድስት ቀን ውስጥ በአስቸኳይ ተመለስ” ብለው አዘዙ።
መልክተኛው ወታደር መልክቱን ለማድረስ ፈርቃ በር በሚባለው ቦታ ማለፍ ግድ ሆነበት ፤ ፈረሱን እየጋለበ ፈርቃ በር ደረሰ።
አስቀድሞ ማንንም እንዳያሳልፍ የታዘዘው የፈርቃ በር ዘበኛም የንጉሱን መልዕክት እንዳያልፍ ከለከለው ፤ መልዕክተኛው “ከንጉሡ በስድስት ቀን የጁ ደርሼ እንድመለስ በአስቸኳይ ተልኬ ነው ልለፍ” አለው።
የፈርቃ በር ጠባቂም ፦ “ከንጉሥ ከተላክ አትከልክሉት ይለፍ የሚል በማህተም የተደገፈ የይለፍ ደብዳቤ ካለህ አሳየኝ እና አሳልፍሃለሁ ካልሆነ ግን እኔም የንጉሥ ትዕዛዝ ስላለብኝ አታልፈም” ሲል መለሰለት።
መልዕክተኛው ወታደርም የንጉሥ ትዛዝ ሆኖበት በግድ አልፋለሁ ብሎ መንገድ ሲጀምር ጠባቂው ወታደር በጥይት ተኩሶ ገደለው።
የሟቹ መልዕክተኛ ወገኖችም ገዳዩን ከሰሱና ለፍርድ አፄ ቴዎድሮስ ዘንድ ቀረቡ።
በችሎት የተቀመጡት ፈራጆች ሁሉ ገዳይ ላይ ፈረዱ
“እምቢ አልፋለሁ ቢልህ ለንጉሥ ማመልከት ሲኖርብህ እንዴት የንጉሥ መልዕክተኛ ትገላለህ ለጥፋትህ ሞት ይገባሃል” ሲሉ ፈረዱበት።
አንድ አስተዋይ ፈራጅ ከተቀመጡበት ተነስተው “መታየት የሚገባው ከንጉሡ የተሰጠው ትዕዛዝ ነው። ንጉሡ የፈርቃ በር ጠባቂን ጠርተው ያለኔ ፈቃድ እርጉዝ ሴት እንኳን እንዳታልፍ ብለው አዘዙ። መልዕክተኛውን ደግሞ በአስቸኳይ የጁ ደርሶ እንዲመጣ በማዘዛቸው በዚያ በፈርቃ በር በኩል ማለፍ ነበረበት። ስለዚህ ጥፋቱ የሚመለከተው ንጉሥ ነገስቱን ነው ፤ ነገር ግን ብርሃን ናቸውና ምን ይደረግ” ብለው ተቀመጡ።
እዚህ ጋር እንግዲህ በዚያ ዘመን የነበረውን ንጉሥ ዲሞክራሲ ሳናደንቅ አናልፍም። የአስተዋዩ ፈራጅ ንግግር ብቻ ሳይሆን የንጉሡም ምላሽ የሚደንቅ ነው።
አፄው ከመቀመጫቸው ብድግ ብለው
“እንዲህ ነው መሸምገል፣ ሁለት ጠጉር ማብቀል” ብለው የአስተዋዩን ፈራጅ ፍርድ ካደነቁ በኋላ “በደለኛው እኔ ነኝ ፍረዱብኝ” ብለው በተከሳሹ ወታደር ቦታ ወርደው ቆሙ።
ከዛም ፈራጆች በሰጡት ፍርድ መሰረት ለሟች ወገኖች 500 ብር የደም ካሳ እንዲከፍሉ አፄ ቴዎደሮስ ላይ ፈረዱና ጉዳዩ በዚህ ተቋጨ።
