I took Solid works courses at my local community college it was an excellent experience!
3-phase power isn't standard in the US or where you live?
Or did you mean you made a 3-phase outlet in your workshop?
If the first, 3-phase is standard in every electrical hookup here. Most high power appliances like cooking stoves run of it and the 3 phases are used independently to power separate lines inside a home to spread load too.
@@enlightendbel not in the US my friend. 3 phase is only found in industrial/commercial zones for large equipment. may I ask where you are?
@@madisonlamis2639 Belgium. Interesting it isn't common in the US.
Dude... Cutting a pipe via CNC with a torch is the stuff of dreams.... and you built this? NUTS.
Great to see you here Destin!
It's about time you showed up!
Do I sense a collaboration in the near future???
So cool to see my heros checking in on my heros :)
The Destin connection. This is a good omen. Subscribed.
Pretty sure I was sitting at that same table ;) Awesome project! Looking forward to the series.
Yes... you were indeed. That is just awesome.
Collab!!!
Shout out to SolidWorks they obviously knew you were someone worth investing in. Hopefully they sponsor many more projects of yours in the future.
I can only imagine SolidWorks is feeling the heat from Fusion 360 taking all of their customers. And considering the solidworks pricing, it's no surprise they're looking to get some of that user base back.
@@imabeapirate Yeah, I looked over the solidworks product a few years ago and it was way out of my price league. It's very cool however.
This is amazing Jeremy! As an engineer who draws in CAD, creates programs, operates waterjets, and regularly fixes and maintains them, I have the upmost respect for anyone who builds any sort of CNC device from scratch. Even installing a new machine can be a massive task. I like to think of myself as a fairly intelligent person, but I'm always blown away by your brilliance and how articulate you are. Bravo!
I built one out of used dvd drives and a floppy drive. It'll fit on a desk.
HMJ it delights me to no end to read your comments! I agree exactly!
I am gobsmacked at this project. A HUGE tip of my hat to Solid Works for sponsoring you.
I look forward to more on this project.
First 40 seconds: Jeremey's reaction "This is officially the coolest thing I've made. Look at that! UNH!!!" (great big grin on his face) This calls for an "immediate" thumbs up!! 👍😎😁
You're an absolute madman. Don't ever change.
Holy shit man, you took it to the next level exponentially. You are going to sky rocket in subs with this. Honestly speaking this is top tier geekery on you tube. Can't wait to see more.
yup!
The amount of work that this project involved must have been daunting. Kudos to you and SolidWorks for doing this for us and rewarding you for your hard work.
Whoa. This is beyond cool. I'm super looking forward to your videos about this project.
Solid works made a brilliant move. Your inquisitive mind and ingenuity is pure gold.
I started using SolidWorks years ago in my small startup design and manufacturing business. I ended up with a room full of engineers, each with their own SW license, by the time I sold my business last year. I can honestly say I never could have had the level of success I did without SolidWorks, their support, and training. After six months of sitting on my behind watching RUclips I'm starting to get ideas again. I think it's almost time to get a fresh license and start the process all over again.
Your shop is looking great by the way.
Bill if you don't mind, what type of things were you designing in your first business. This is so new to me & above my head, wanted to do some guitar designs but the coding above my head.
@@jettramel We made assemblies for industrial vehicles using sheet metal, mechanical, and thermoformed plastic. SW was ideal for collaboration with customers and suppliers. I never had to touch G-code myself. I found the SW user interface to be quite intuitive.
Amazing Mr. Fielding! I teach SW in my mechatronics class. We program CNC mill/router/plasma/4thaxis/laser but BUILDING one is a dream. I'll show my high schoolers while we work on their CSWA.
Tell all your students good luck on their CSWA from all of us on the SOLIDWORKS Certification Team!
You are a man's man brother. You have a big heart for others and It seems pretty obvious and I appreciate that. Stay humble and do what you do! God bless you Jeremy.
Really awesome. Don’t think they could had picked a better person to sponsor
Do you know how many people are going to be soooo jealous when they see your new toy!!! Man I can't wait to see what that can do!!
That's the true face of joy right there. You are the type of person that makes me love RUclips. Looking foward to the next videos.
Just found your channel last night. Was watching the progression from treadmill and washing machine motors and then this. I was like "holy crap, that's amazing". Love to have a tool like that to build with. Such a smart guy and love the way you present and put these videos together. Subscribed and hit the bell. Looking forward to watching more from you. Glad to see you got such an awesome sponsor.
This absolutely one of the coolest things I have seen, and not just on RUclips. And it's a guy in his garage. Outstanding!
We're happy to have you as a SOLIDWORKS customer, and look forward to seeing the rest of the build videos!
WELL DONE, Mr. Fielding !!!!!!!! SolidWorks, is one of about 4 top cad software platforms, while not forgetting, SolidWorks has been involved in our live helping us make a better world, and do it faster with less stress.... of course, once past the learning curve, which to be expected, but not to believe it will overwhelm a person.... Congrats !!!!!
I have been subscribed to you for a long time Jeremy, learned a lot from you and always enjoyed you grabbing treadmills and washers from the side of the road and this one of my favourite videos of yours, you can feel the excitement you are experiencing, it is infectious and hats off to Racheal and Solidworks for identifying the motives for your vids and suporting education, often times youtubers are tool/equipment collectors posing as makers/educators, you are the real deal and solid works was smart enough to know the difference, well done SW
My man!
I sub to a lot of channels, ranging from woodworking, forging/knife making, CNC, chemistry.. just tons of subjects. The DIY type stuff just goes with my hobbies, and work (industrial maintenance). I’ve learned a lot from you, so I was so thrilled to see this. You are one of the few you tubers I watch that I really believe needed some sort of break to push their content. The sponsorship is a blessing for you and all your viewers. I really look forward to see where you go from here.
It’s kind of weird how excited I am, for another guy, on the other side of my iPad.
Loved the video Jeremy!
Rachel, wherever you are, you're a legend! This guy is doing great stuff, educating people and getting them excited about making things and that's one of the most valuable things you could ever invest in.
Imagine the thousands of kids and teenagers watching people like Jeremy, every day, getting familiar with designing, engineering and creating things and going on to make this their lives. As much harm as the internet has caused, this stuff is an example of the great things it lets us do
This is AWESOME! Kudos to Solidworks for sponsoring this. I'm looking forward to watching the full series on this.
I literally stood up in my living room and applauded you Jeremy. I am so excited. And certainly thanks to SolidWorks.
Bro last time I saw you, you were showing how to remove motors from washing machines, now you have built a CNC!!!! Awesome man
Dude, I love how happy you were, crazy infectious!
I was every bit as excited as he was!
Couldn't have happened to a better dude. Happy for you and appreciate the break downs you do for us.
Jeremy Fielding mate you are a legend. Throughout my career, I've been watching RUclips clips and I can say you are by far the best and easiest educator to watch in the engineer side of things. I wish I was in your shoes and had the time and money to do everyone of your videos. I have started back down the rabbit hole now I'm back in engineering full time and hope to get a few of these project done. Thank again for the great videos and the time and effort you put into it.
Jeremy, I've enjoyed your videos for years. Congratulations on the new sponsor. I'm very pleased with the CNC project. Looking forward to the series!
Awesome work Jeremy! I'm a machinist (old school) going on 40 years now. This is great stuff to watch! You are the future! Keep up the great work!
Man I'm so glad you're finding success with your channel, I think its awesome!
You're a good teacher, I like how you recycle and re-use old equipment too.
Cheers!
Oh man! Haven't checked in on the channel in a long time (tiny shop, space saving days). The resources are really helping that vision come through. So stoked for all you're doing and what's to come. Thanks!
This is thing is awesome, a real showcase of all the skills and passion that make you an inspirational maker.
At this rate, with your talent and ingenuity, you’ll be running a R&D consultancy in a few years.
This is AWESOME. So excited for you.. can only imagine how cool that must have been to have Solidworks reach out like that. And you totally deserve it.. it's great to see more and more people discover how cool your channel is. Can't wait for the rest of this project and more to come in the future!
Speechless! I'm a machinist, and you have blown my mind. Wow
So that's what you've been up to! Awesome! I'm really excited about the build series, especially how you rolled your own rotary phase converter which I'm in the process of now.
I've never been more excited for your videos!
Congratulations on the sponsorship, and credit to SolidWorks for seeing your ability. You so deserve the boost - your content is awesome. I can't wait to see more.
Jeremy, You are amazing, thank you for sharing your passions with the world.
Thank you so much for sharing this knowledge with us. Can't wait to see the series, and congrats!
absolutely fantastic, find of the year so far, thank you
Truly inspiring. Keep up the great work.
Wow. Just. Wow.
Congratulations and well deserved! Looking forward to hearing a LOT more about the projects coming off this beast.
Congratulations on the sponsorship and an amazing project. It's great that you're recognized for your efforts. I typically feel that combo tools are a tool that gets to do everything poorly, but, they're a reality of a small home shop with a non-production-level budget. Everything wood is bad for everything metal, everything metal is bad for everything wood. Etc. And it's true, if you're churning out a product line. But it looks like you've minimized the annoyances and built a 95% solution that's going to need a little maintenance but otherwise can do the job.
Im incredibly exited about this project! You have a great way of explaining, can’t wait to see more!
So pumped for the build series!
MIND. BLOWN. That's really impressive!
Absolutely stunning - super excited for your next videos
This is seriously amazing! Love what you're doing! Can't wait to see more!
Cool! Looking forward to your next installments!
Absolutely incredible build. Thanks for sharing.
Wow I haven’t seen your channel in like 2 years....so cool!!
I’m really glad to see your channel get the recognition and sponsorship that is well deserved. Congrats!
Brother Jeremy love what you have done. I have been working on a similar project for the last ten months, but it's not yet finished. This has encouraged me to keep moving forward. You've made it. I love it.
Really excited for you. Congrats. Looks awesome.
Jeremy it’s always a pleasure to check out your videos, great to see you getting support from solidworks too. Can’t wait to see the rest.
Never seen you so enthusiastic ! Really looks like a great video series will be watching. No doubt I will get some tips and ideas . To big for my workshop but always a pleasure to watch you and congratulations on your sponsorship I just amazed it took so long for one to pick up on you.
I knew were sharp but after watching this video you upped your game and now I see nothing but brilliance. Great videos and the content is also fun to watch.
I was excited to see a new video up! And I'm so happy for you - that is AWESOME!
Awesome stuff, I'm really happy for you and looking forward to the rest of the series!
I just acquired a massive office printer for free via Facebook marketplace. I plan on salvaging the motors, and using them to make a small CNC.
I'm really looking forward to this series!
Your channel is one of the best educational resources I've found online!
many thanks to Solidworks for your help! 💯
Jeremy, I love your content man. Congrats on the sponsorship, and the CNC build. You're an inspiration (because of you I have a room filling up with random motors I have found). Whenever I start thinking I have bitten off more than I can chew with a project, I see what you have achieved and it recharges my batteries. I would love to see in depth Solid Works tutorials from you that are live creations of simple solutions, that dive into the "why" of design. Most CAD tutorials are specific in the features they are teaching, rather than focusing on methodology, thought process, considerations, etc... for actually designing something. I feel like your down to earth way of explaining things would make for really interesting instructional design videos. Thanks for the great content.
Absolutely awesome Jeremy. Another great video.
Awesome video. So glad you were able to build this and that SolidWorks helped out. Keep up the good work!
Dude!!! ... Speechless! Sooo awesome man! Congrats on that undertaking...
Amazing, can't wait for the rest of the videos!
Great video and great project. I would like to suggest that you add a home position switch on your fence rail and a home button feature in your menu. This will position your fence automatically, eliminating having to re-calibrate the fence distance from the blade after you move your fence manually. It is an awesome project congratulations.
Crazy awe-inspiring! You are the real deal man. Thanks to Solidworks for the sponsorship - now you have convinced me to give them another look!
Can't wait for more bud! Beautiful!
Jeremy, I always enjoy your videos and this one no exception. Excellent machine and sponsor! Thank you Solidworks for sponsoring Jeremy on this project so that he can continue to inspire us in RUclips land!
So cool! Congratulations on the build. I'm looking forward to seeing everything.
Excellent project Jeremy!
Nice Score and awesome rebuild.
I was super excited to see you had a new video up, and it looks awesome!
Can't wait to see what kind of projects you get up to with that.
Well done I'm really looking forward to the rest of this series.
So glad your back making videos and wow that is one awesome machine.
Awesome project! Thank you for sharing.
Well done! Can't wait for the series of videos!
Nice work my friend. What a sweet project.
I'm impressed to watch a young man designing and building a machine of this caliber. I wish you all the best.
You are the definition of the American dream, IMHO. 🤛 😁 And you're just getting started. 👍
@Despiser Despised you're forgetting or choosing to ignoring that everything changed in the sixties when the Reps tok over as the party of racism, bigotry and ignorance. And since then the Republicans have stayed true to these values, with the Russian puppet inhabiting the Oval Office and Turtle McConnell in charge having their followers fighting over breadcrums.
All i see in this video is an amazing man with an enormous amount of clever ingenuity on disply. A hero of the do it yourself attitude. There is no room for the racist blabber mouth rant. Devious despicable, go back to your meetings.
Dude you are awesome and proof that you can do anything you put your mind to.
Nice!! My first cnc table was a 4x8 practical CNC plasma table. It had a few quirks but in the end it got the job done. I added a water tray to it, made it completely out of aluminum.
I will definitely be following this.
thank you Jeremy and solid works!
I am excited to see that you are making this using used parts, kinda nice to see for makers or start ups. Im stoked for the new vids
Just found your channel. I have been using Solidworks since 2011. I love it. I, too, have my own license at home. I draw everything first. Bathroom Remodel, Radio Control Parts, Drone Parts and have even designed my own CNC Router. It is almost complete. A couple more weeks and I will be cutting my own parts. Woo Hoo. Anyway, thanks for the info and keep it coming.
Man, you are awesome. I am actually in the design phase of a mill/laser/drag knife machine myself, significantly smaller form factor, targeting 1000x600 mm. Thank you for your content man.
Badass! Can't wait to see the follow-up videos. Props to you.
Extraordinary. As always Jez, you raise the bar. Thanks for sharing mate.
Great work Jeremy!
Get yourself a man who looks at you like Jeremy looks at his CNC... looks awesome, keep it up!
This is going to be the best #HOWTODIY series on yt! looking forward to it!
Brilliant! Will have to check out the Solidworks. Thanks much.
Great project. Thanks for sharing.
