In group dances, do the variations among the dancers distract? Can they be seen as an addition to a group performance? Ballet, etc., go for mechanical similarity among the corps and individuality among solists. How does the Isadora Duncan approach handle this? Is the group all soloists? Is this good or bad for the performance?
I wonder why instead of simply waving the scarf around, the dancer didn't work with it in two hands. Is this a preserved Duncan dance? I'd think Isadora would have understood the potential of grasping the scarf in two hands.
