Nobody talks about how Dominique went overseas in 1995-1996 and won the EuroLeague title with Panathinaikos, while being the finals MVP! It’s very impressive and should be mentioned!

Wow, we're bragging about Euro titles?
Why don't you throw in Marbury's glory years in China?
Dominique Wilkins was never a great leader in the NBA, just a one trick pony who could dunk.
As one writer said, he had the shot selection of a South African riot cop.

Dominique Wilkins one of the Greatest small forwards in NBA History. Ranked in the 30-40 area on my list. Imagine if Utah kept him an later got Stockton & Malone. NBA History as we know it probably is different. Especially the Western Conference seeing how from 1991-1994 they had a new finals representative, Stockton to Wilkens would've been just as beautiful as Stockton to Malone.

Grew up an 80s kid and 'Nique was special!! Why he's so underappreciated just baffles me!! Nique was Vince Carter before Vince Carter was Vince Carter. Insane hops, could shoot, play D and had dunks for days. He was a great scorer too. Him and MJ had duels like you never see today!! LONG LIVE THE HUMAN HIGHLIGHT REEL!!

Back in the 80’s & early 90’s, we couldn’t see many games in my area. One channel we got was WTBS out of Atlanta. That meant we got 1 or 2 games a week. Love watching Nique. One of my favorites! The teams weren’t always good but he gave everything on the court. I hate he was traded his last year. They beat the Knicks & Rockets during the regular season so they were really good. Lenny Wilkins felt Nique didn’t play D & killed the ball movement. He was the only player that could really get his own shot when everything broke down so not a great move.

Most of his buckets were inside clogged lanes, give the man a clear lane and he's averaging 30+ EASY.
Better post, mid, jumper than almost every player today, was able to extend his shot to the 3pt line. Could drive by you, would still be top 5 athletes today even better so with modern training.

this guy was one very handsome black man and I ain't gay. He had both the athleticism and looks to rival MJ :O
this guy was more athletic than Vince Carter, and while carter may have had the better dunks I'm gonna say that dude was just too surly and nasty to appreciate fully, and had a greater history of prior art dunks to draw on as well. But on the other hand, he didn't have a Larry Bird to teach him any humility and respect for athletes of different races and that superior athleticism is not everything in basketball (height coordination and team first mentality go a long way). I'm sure Wilkins was a better man and better person for for having competed and lost to Bird's teams
