  • Members of CUPE Local 108 (Halifax Civic Workers Union) rallied at Halifax City Hall against their pensions and benefits being under attack by the Halifax Regional Municipality, their employer who delivered a lockout notice to these workers recently.
There were many fabulous speakers at the rally, including CUPE Nova Scotia President Nan McFadgen, Amalgamated Transit Union (ATU) President Kenny Wilson and others, as well as Nova Scotia Federation of Labour President Danny Cavanagh (who appears in this video, and who extended Solidarity on behalf of the affiliated unions and the 70,000 affiliated members of the Nova Scotia Federation of Labour).
