The downside about suburbs like Camps Bay and Clifton is that so many Hollywood stars and international business moguls have bought holiday apartments there that it has become impossible for native South Africans to afford anything there. The upside is that you can always see your favorite Hollywood actor cycling or walking on the Sea Point promenade, They seem to think that a baseball cap and sunglasses provide the perfect disguise.😂Anyway, Capetonians are used to celebrities, and we pretend that we do not recognize them, so that they can enjoy anonymity and a great holiday.
As a black American from NYC im so interested in south africa. Ive met a few south africans and they were so welcoming . What i love is how im tume they are with american black music amd culture. I feel due to the internet its closing the gap among black people across the world. I love how they really be knowing the oldies from the 70s'80s'90s era of music. On the flip side, i want to learn so much of soutu african history and culture in person and share culture!

As a Namibian that has traveled to both Durban and CT, I will only take Durban's climate and beaches over CT and almost everything else I will take what the city of Cape Town will offer.
If Cape Town had a warm ocean current like Durban, it would have been paradise!😂 That is why many Capetonians go to Durban in the winter.

My best adventure in Cape Town was a helicopter flight. It cost around R1000 but it was worth every penny. It gives one a wonderful perspective.
My next adventure will be paragliding.

People in Cape Town are so fun, so full of joy, everything is a reason for party and having good food.

Cape Town has been on my bucket list because of all the beautiful nature (especially the birds!). I definitely want to visit it some day.
I loved cape town. Great people and amazing scenery. Food wonderful. I loved the wine yards and the dutch influence.
I think as South Africans we really owe a visit to the Western Cape as a whole. I'm from Durban but I really wanna visit Cape Town one day, lovely content Steve.

@ogasoft9799, Ironically if you are African it is hard to get a visa. If you are an American you do not need one, it is just like going from Florida to New York. That easy.

Love your video Steve I would love to visit Cape Town one day! The biggest problem in Britain is the media South Africa would get a lot more tourists if the media didn’t portray South Africa as a death sentence if you visit! Yes I know there are obviously certain places you don’t go but that’s like anywhere in the world!
Cape Town is relatively safe
Do visit. The same people telling you how unsafe South Africa is, are the same people holidaying here and buying houses in Capetown.
That is why RUclipsrs are here to erase all those paid media houses. what I like about RUclipsrs they are talking about the real experience not about hear says like the so called big media houses that is why we are no longer watching them because they are giving wrong information.
Like anywhere in the world..... no go areas......they can never mention horrible KNIFE CRIME in the UK . Great video Steven.
In a way I think of Cape Town like London but probably safer I’m almost certain there’s is more knife and gun crime in London than Cape Town yes I know about the cape flats and townships and been told that’s where most of the crimes are committed but I’m guessing Cape Town is a lot like any other big city just go to where you know and keep your wits about you and you should be fine
