Actually "pangalan" means name while "pangngalan" means noun, a word that labels an object, thing, idea, or concept. You're actually very fluent in Filipino Tagalog. You should get together with other RUclipsrs who are relatively fluent in Tagalog like Hana Cho and Kristypata. Also with Sylvia Kim and eventually Jessica Lee who know a bit of Tagalog but not as well.

What you do really well is that you fully embrace the tagalog accent and colloquial syntax into your speech which makes it sound so much more natural regardless of how many words you really know. I'm 100% Filipino but I have an eastern american/british sounding accent due to my upbringing so even though I'd like to think I know a lot of "malalim" na words I still sound foreign because I don't speak in a way you locally would.

It's really fun too see Koreans who grew up here in the Philippines share their life story.. what's more amazing is the Tagalog journey. And what I really appreciate in all of them is that no matter how long they stayed here and eventually lived here in our country is that they never forget their mother tongue. Yung tipong Koreans can live anywhere in the world but not knowing how to speak Korean is non-negotiable. Alam kung case to case basis pero majority of Koreans and other Asian countries are like that. At sana tayong mga Pinoy ganon din. Na no matter where we are, we can still speak Tagalog confidently. Na hindi naman kailangan English ang tinuturo sa bata agad kasi eventually, as manifested by our Korean kababayans, the child will naturally adopt to its environment.

one awsome thing about being a native filipino speaker, specially bilang kabataan ngayon, ay kaya mo din mag taglish. yung tipong bigla kang nag t'transition to straight english tas biglang tagalog or reverse habang nag sasalita HAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHH madaming non-filipinos or foreigners na na-a'amaze dun for some reason

without looking at who is talking, you could definitely pass as a typical Filipino of the same age range. your mannerisms, slangs, Tagalog with mixed Spanish, i mean everything! Keep it up!

True, yan din napapansin ko nung frist time ko na meet yung mga colleagues ko in our Manila office, whenever I speak English, parang nadedelay yung reaction nila di nila alam kung isasagot ba nila would be English or Tagalog hehehe. I am a Cebuano and I prefer to speak English than Tagalog so yung reaction mo pagkinakausap ka in English is the exact same thing I noticed the first few weeks and months that I've been with my Tagalog colleagues back then pero ngayon sanay na sila sa akin kasi naging close friends ko na sila.
