- Sweetwater claims to have did what they refer to as a 55 point check on instruments such as this before it leaves the store! If you like the content a thumbs up would be greatly appreciated! and desperately needed for this channel to remain active! thanks again!

Randy rockin a tele!!🙌
They are great guitars…..thanks for the video Randy….from 🇨🇦
Glad to see ya rockin out on it bro!
Love that butterscotch blond pine.
As we say down south for Sweetwater bless their little hearts
I love hearing you play man. You’re so good!
I'm really out of practice right now but still is fun to jam now and then! thanks my friend!
Killer jams at the end, Randy!
I had this issue on a brand new Squier Tele and a Epiphone. I put a star washer on the jack and never had an issue with it again.
I like that look on that fender 👋
You know what Randy, shit happens, nobody’s perfect. A couple socket turns and it on its way. Probably the least amount of work you had to do to any of your guitars. It’s a beautiful guitar that sounds and plays great! Enjoy it! Thank-you to the donating viewer!
Rock on my friend. Sweetwater tore their drawers on that one.
yep, their 55 point check missed this! makes me wonder what 55 things they checked lol
That 55 point evaluation is probably on making sure they get paid.
lol for sure that was one of the 55! thanks for viewing!
Yep - always get a professional jack replacement.
Sweetwater just opens the box and say. "Yup, it's a guitar!" I have bought from them and had to work on their work. If they did anything to it.
yep! they shouldnt advertise that shit if they're not going to follow up on it! thanks my friend for watching and commenting!
Those cup jacks require a special tool for the initial installation. Didn’t know that when I built my son in laws James Burton Tele. I just said screw it (no pun intended) and bought one of the cup jacks that screws in from the outside. I’ve tightened loose ones before but had never done a new install. The tool bends the metal tab as you tighten it. I’m sure you know. lol.
yep, I have that tool but as usual when needed couldn't find it, I have since found it but who knows when I'll need it again lol thanks for viewing!
The better question may be How did it leave the factory like that. Great playing Randy!
thank you Dane! yes you'd think as hardcore as they advertise 55 point inspection they'd follow up on it a little closer!
But on the plus side, it does look like the cavity is paint shielded.
The inspection is on instruments above 500 dollars or maybe higher. Cheaper guitars are given a quick look and they missed that jack.
makes sense to me! thank you for watching and commenting!
55 point check point my ass. I've been repairing string instruments for 45 years and I would be hard pressed to find 55 points.
Maybe they need to make it a "56" point inspection. 😅
agreed! lol thanks for watching and commenting!
Sweewater sounds like 🇨🇦 Canada’s Long n Mquade. They are horrendous. Played a $3500 Gibson acoustic one day. The action was about 1/4 in at 12th fret 😂😂😂😂….seriously…they say they do the set up after the guitar sells….hmmmmmm
I like Sweetwater but I purchased an amp that was most likely a floor model ( I checked the biase and it was at 28 instead of 21 a cold setting and the first thing I noticed was the valves looked cooked ) and my telecaster was not set up properly and played like crap. So yeah, I am not a fan of some of the sales representatives either . I usually try to avoid talking to them if possible. I got 1 who is cocky and acts like an asshole . So good luck to you all .
the one I talked to on the fone was really nice, not to say all of them are lol they obviously need to makr their 55 point check a 56 point! I mean brand new guitar with 55point check shouldnt need worked on in any way IMO! thanks for you comment and thanks for viewing!
