@@priestesslucy3299Kiara is also terrible at Mario 64. She spent an hour and a half trying to scale the Shifting Sand Land pyramid in the most difficult way possible when the game gives you a very easy way to do it.

Apparently most holomembers don't know that running is a thing in Mario. And the few that do often kill themselves using it so it's kind of a wash anyway.
It's kind of fascinating how this game is the foundation of platformers and one of the big grandfathers of video games yet the dash button mechanic is still mainly exclusive to it.

Probably due to the permissions system. They evidently have one for SMB atm so many of them are making use of the opportunity while it lasts.
@@broadbandislife They have had permissions for SMB for quite a while. Recently Subaru did a no warp, no save, no rewind clear, starting in golden week but then requiring about 3 weeks and 8 streams in total. It seems that other members have decided to try that challenge or variations of it.
Kanade in particular was still using warp but also of note is Aqua trying to clear the challenge in a single attempt, and she very nearly did it, losing her last life to the hammer bro before the world 8 bowser.
Members have stated that Cover has a list of games that they have perms to play. So, that’s why you’ll usually see the same games played by members. As for why around the same time, probably just due to popularity. One member plays something and it looks fun or becomes a bit trendy, so other members will also give it a go. That’s my best guess.
