This is my first season trapping. Water level finally went down so past couple days I've been putting pvc pipe sets using a canned fish mink bait recipe I found on youtube. I found fresh tracks all along the banks in the sand. I'm glad I watched this because I would haven't waited long enough after setting directly on heavy track spots.
You nail it for the sets and how long about it takes for the mink to show up. And what else you will catch. I use the same type of sets. I use some beaver castor in the hole . It works for me.
Great catches but I Canada, you would be charged by the Ministry of Natural Resources for not having a drowning set with these legholds. I exclusively use conibears with pan triggers and take lot of mink
