As a New Yorker, I H A T E New York Drill.
This has been the uk mindet in general with our muisc. First it was drum and bass and jungle in 90s, people got bored then it went to uk garage. People got bored of garage then it went to grime. People got bored of grime then it went to rap / funky house era. People got bored then it went to the drill and afro swing era. Afro swing died now drills on its last legs. Just the way how we’re set. No genres got longevity in this country lol
Yet real uk hip hop has been around since the 90s and still growing but has stayed underground. I think when a genre becomes commercialised it looses it’s authenticity

IMO UK drill has been dead from the get go the yutes that started it are older maybe young 20s with kids an a real life to deal with.
