  • Clarence Ford interviews renowned South African writer, activist and storyteller Dr. Diana Ferrus.
She began writing poetry at the age of fourteen and her poem about Saartjie Baartman, ‘I’ve come to take you home’, became a catalyst for the return of Baartman’s remains to South Africa.
These days, Ferrus leads writing workshops in Cape Town while working as an administrator at the University of the Western Cape.

Oh sooo Beautiful and here my tears run too, sitting in my bedroom where I am so far away from home caring for my 99 year old client, missing my Cape Town, my friends and my family. Love you dearly Diana, Thank you Clarence for this ~ Peace to our lovely land
