He’s just 22. And this is when he was even younger. You should hear him play it today.
I'm definitely going to listen to more of his stuff and check out his current playing. Great post Troy!
Keeps his eyes closed 80% of the time,,,,he is just awesome
I totally agree Big John!
The new young buck on the rise. He’s phenomenal. He’s a major Prince fan.
He is awesome that's for sure, I don't collect guitar magazines like I used to but I'm curious to know if he is ever featured in them....
Wow. Big man can play! I remember watching him play Purple Rain when P passed.
I need to check that performance out....
It's great that you featured him on the channel...he doesn't nearly get the props that he deserves.
Kind of like someone else we know back in the day.... :(
watched him play live. nearly had to pry my jaw off the damn floor.
christone is one of my friend he was at paisley park couple days ago
That is awesome! He sure is amazing!
@@YesYouCANPlayGuitar he made a purple rain cover check it out its amazing
Discovered him a couple of years ago with his mother in tow. Has a sweet, quiet, humble personality. There's a video of him on YT at 15 killing it. Super reaction!
Thank you Missy! This guy is on his way to being a legend! :)
@@YesYouCANPlayGuitar Quess who just won a Grammy?
@@missy652 :O Really?!?!?
Just Won a Grammy!
I did hear that after I posted the video :)
Been listening to this guy a few years now... great singer.. great player..his voice reminds my of the late great Sherman Robertson .the Texas bluesman...and as always... great reaction...
He totally blew me away Ed, in every way! :)
I came across this lad back when Prince passed, he did a great live Purple Rain! Worth checking out!
Prince - Diamonds & Pearls Tour - Live4Love - LIVE ( Sydney, Australia) 1992 PRINCE ROCKS
Saved and noted for a future video :)
@@YesYouCANPlayGuitar RIGHT ON!!!!!!
Just saw him live a few weeks ago in Charlotte. You absolutely need to see him live if you have a chance, it was incredible. On top of everything else, he broke a string during his solo in Hey Joe and it wasn’t even noticeable until he started messing around with it. I’ve seen Clapton, Buddy Guy, BB King, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, and many others live, Kingfish was probably my second favorite. Insane for his age.
Where in Charlotte was he? I missed him, I'm in H Point.
@@missy652 Knight Theater early March I think it was.
@@queencityscatpack5450 Thanks
I'm definitely going to! :)
All I can I say is brother can SANG!!! Damn the way he shreds the guitar 🎸
He is amazing! I loved it! :)
Remember checking him out years ago. Thought he be further along. When I seen him do a prince and Jimi Hendrix jam....i said this is our next b.b. king.
He blew me away for sure!
His version of Cast a spell on you Fender studio live 🤌🏽amazing
I'll have to check it out thanks Killa! :)
This dude has Gods playing with him 👑
I agree :)
It gives me pleasure to see the younger generation playing instruments amd keeping musicianship alive a wonderful player with a great tone and feel u can hear many influences in his playing which for one so young is wonderful,We need to see the generation to see its OK to play and not sing over dismal and dull samples and call it music,Play on my young brother
And as per usual love the review
Keep on keeping on with ur stellar work
Peace and be wild
Thank you Taurrean! I'm so glad I got to see his playing! :)
I have already seen videos of this guitarist he really has a great style
He sure does!
Cool, what a great musician. Halfway through I was getting strong BB King vibes but that changed up towards the end. Yeah, that was really good, another previously unknown to me artist to check out guy. Nice one. 👍🏻
Thank you ER! :)
I've never heard of this guy either. I enjoyed it
He is on his way to being a legend I think...
He's awesome. I don't know why I'm getting a Bobby Blue Bland vibe from him but I'm ok with that. He's great
Good Morning Wanda. Happy Monday! :)
💯❤️👍
Nice reaction. This is a great performance. I heard a song of his about 6 months ago for the first time. I was embarrassed for not knowing him because he sounds so good and so mature I thought he must already be a legend. I can’t believe he is so young. His 2019 album is really good (Kingfish).
I definitely want to hear more about him. He was incredible!
Now that I’ve seen him live, I seriously wonder if he’s sold his soul for this talent. Multigenerational abilities.
He may have lol
I love this guy's tone and the way he climbs from great blues and jazz chord voicings to blistering solos. He's got a great voice that complements his playing so well. He comes across as utterly genuine, believable and 'in the moment' so hopefully his talents merits the respect it deserves! Slightly off topic, but I wonder if there is a way for you to add a community discussion forum to the channel so we can bring up topics for discussion as well as post our reactions to your reactions. For example, I'd like to get your thoughts on Jeff Healey, Al di Meola, Tommy Emmanuel and Stanley Jordan as guitarists.
Phantom Preacher, that is a fantastic idea and a great post. As my channel keeps changing, I still want to keep the guitar lessons/guitar/music lessons/discussion aspect to the channel. If and when this channel hits 1k subs RUclips then offers some more features for me to use. This was a fantastic suggestion thank you! :)
Kingfish has the soul of a 52-year-old man! The kid isn't even 25 yet!
Totally amazing! He blew me away Khaled! :)
loved this!
Thank you Graham! He is an amazing musician!
Ingran muito fera
I find it amazing he's only 22 or so. I've seen a video or two via the other reaction video guy you alluded to ;)
Excellent technique and he has all the tricks. Sometimes less is more and he has a good feel for dynamics - when to soften, hold back and unleash.
I'm going to name someone now - Gary Clark Jr. I see him getting all the accolades and hyperbole thrown at him. He's talented and he can write a few goods songs per album. But his soloing leaves a lot to be desired yet he is considered to be the next best big thing in blues. In a world of John Mayer and Joe Bonnamassa.... I just don't get it when here's Kingfish soloing like a demon and singing like a worn older guy.
Give this guy the spotlight at a big show and a band behind him of top-notch guys... He's a worldwide hit in minutes.
Excellent post as always SA, and I'm also wondering... I don't collect guitar magazines the way I used to but I am curious as to if he is getting any coverage in them......
Can you do "super man lover reaction"
You haven't heard of him neighter? First prince now him?
No I've heard of Prince before, I just didn't know much about him. A member here suggested Christone Ingram awhile ago. I'm glad I got to see his playing :)
TO MUCH TALKING, LET IT PLAY, THEN TALK... BETTER EXAMPLE OF THIS SONG ALL OVER YOU TUBE.... THIS IS THE WORST EXAMPLE OF HIS TALENT I HAVE EVER SEEN...RECORDED ON A CELL PHONE?
Remember checking him out years ago. Thought he be further along. When I seen him do a prince and Jimi Hendrix jam....i said this is our next b.b. king.
