Do you have any options for a 1 on 1 meeting with you where i can go over some specific issues my team is having? I know you have been doing this for much longer than i have and you might have faced them before.

I vote for the lean coffee, coach. I like this kind of lightweight agenda-less open meetings. But still the unspoken taboos most probably will not surface during the lean coffee. So I will mix that with a post-it note, or I call it drop-it note. I will get a complaints box to the retro meeting where everyone will write and then drop his note confidentially into the box. Then the scrum master will pick the notes randomly one by one and discuss it anonymously with the team.

True Agile is a myth. Agile is a failed philosophy. Not because its inheriently bad, but because it can never be implemented in an organic way within a corpoation due the competing interests of corporate profit driven goals where resources take a back seat to margins. In real terms, Agile is just pie in the sky.

As an engineer I would hate if my team did this. The role of the scrum master is so useless that they have to make up stupid games to justify their position? Sprint meetings are the biggest waste of time. Agile is supposed to be mainly asynchronous.

Thanks for commenting. Why are your sprint meetings a waste of time? What makes you say that agile is supposed to be mainly asynchronous?
