I love when your talking with your hands and I can hear your rings clinking against one another. The passion in your words resonates within your rings ❤
I'm a bookseller in Germany, and it never fails to amuse me how examining the top copy of a stack but then purchasing an 'untouched' copy from farther below in the stack is such a universal experience no matter where one is. 😄 Bookish habits are the same the world over, it appears. I always enjoy looking over your shoulder like this on your bookshop trips; lovely vlog as usual, Kat. :) 🫶
Right now I am also dealing with loss, I’ve lost my 15 year old sister and this is so hard. Thanks for your video, it gives me hope that some day life would be easier and after our grief life will be different and we still could find joy in it. I also love going to the bookstores and I hope that on weekends I will also browse through books at local shops. Big hug to you and your family. And sorry in advance for my English as it is not my native language
I don’t care if I’m a broken record. I just LOVE your videos. I could watch them again and again. So comforting. So chill. Love the dark colors and low lighting makes me more cozy burrowing in warm blankets vibes and I cannot find that anywhere else on RUclips. Especially perfect on days like today dreary and overcast (perfect candles and reading old books vibes for me) also the fact that you’re in NYC is just a bonus. I’ve always been fascinated by that city. Not the touristy parts of course. The more indie. Grunge dusty artsy parts of it. Anyway I’m still watching almost two years now. Thank you for all the hard work you put into filming and editing these. ❤😊
Katherine i just have to say i love your mug collection, your cozy oasis you have created for your self with your books and everything you love, you always give me such comfort and inspiration!!! Warm hugs coming your way🕸🫖☕🍵🥧🎃🕯📓🖋📷🎮
I’m so sorry for your loss. I found out my dad has a terminal illness, and it’s been hard for all of us. I’m going to try and journal so I can get my grief and pain out, and have something to look back on in the years to come. I’m sending you healing vibes and I hope you’re able to feel peace as time goes on
I can relate to you leaving your hobonichi, because it would be a painful reminder of your aunt. I did that too a couple of years ago because that year was such a horrible year that when I got past that hard period I couldnt go back into that journal it felt like there were so many bad vibes and energy in the earlier pages I didn’t want to be around it any longer. So I didn’t use it again. And I don’t regret it. ❤
I could just smell the books from here, so comforting... I think I am getting into my high fantasy era - I used to get really impatient with them but really am enjoying the slow build and immersion of it all.
just read Certain Dark Things this year! I've been wanting to read more of Silvia Moreno-Garcia's books and i enjoyed this one; very dark and gritty. Also that coffee hall is sooo cool!
I am the same way about getting the best book so I can see all of my emotions in it only!! I definitely love my books hard lol. I’ve never met anyone else who feels the same way.
I think When the Moon Hatched is also on KU. I love the parts when you chat with us. Good that you are enjoying your little comfort pod there in NY♥ Hope you and lil Rocky are doing well
I have such a hard time annotating. I am new at it and I don't know what to name my keys, I don't know what I should annotate. Right now I highlighting new characters as they come into the story and things I think might be important later in the book. Then I place a spot when the book makes me think about something. Like a clue to who someone may are may not be. I just feel strange since I have never done it before.
They had Darbo jam! Wow! So strange to see Austrian stuff outside of Austria. I hope you liked it 💜 Edit: Ok, so funny. Happy Cow Cheese Spread by Woerle is Austrian too... 😂 Although I do not know how that tastes, never had it. I wanted to say, I totally can understand you with the seasonal depression in summer. Last year I tried it for the first time, but I wore my cap and sunglasses the whole time while I was outside or in stores where I could not controll the brightness. And used my fan everytime I started to feel hot. I am at a point in my life where I do not care that much anymore what other people think of me. That was a huge problem for me my whole life, what other people thought of me although I did not know them at all. I'm working on that and try to be just myself even if it looks strange and out of place. But the cap, the sunglasses and the fan helped a lot, I had no meltdown like the summer before that. I hope this summer will be nice to you!
I enjoy your videos very much, but the words you insert at different parts of the video are very tiny, and often difficult to see (on the small phone screen I’m using). Any chance you can make them just a bit bigger, please?

Plant Based Bride has a great video on how she annotates books!
