But do it over if you overdo it also.

him: "so yea, uh you do this cuz uh- idk"
lmao thats what I love about him
Heh
you are very underrated , your drawings are godly and your advice is extremely helpful :)
you ain’t tripping lol! seems ur pretty good at reading korean. you learning it as as a second language or?
@Positive Boi , u like kpop too? many people just hate me cuz of my choice of music. it’s pretty cool you’ve got the willpower to learn korean 😂. and BTS isn’t the only kpop group I stan 😂✌🏾
@@gyalting7710 my friends got me into k pop lolol I consider myself a nctzen but in reality I'm just k pop trash that feeds off of hot men-. Lmao my Korean is v bad and I need to start learning it again >3> but I'm getting busy again so it's not one of my priorities.
Positive Boi , no ur korean is really good compared to mine! i don’t even know the full alphabet :(. and yeah, if you’ve got big school exams coming up i think studying for them should be ur priority. good luck!
@@gyalting7710 eef I only know the basics, reading things like this ㅝ I don't get. I know it's got a w sound but I don't know if it's wo, wu or things like that.
Somenormalartist : with the eyelids you're gonna want to blend it towards her eye coz I don't know.
Me : best explanation ever 😀😀
For beginner artists I feel like they would have no idea what he’s talking about or his explanation of things. But for people who experienced drawing for a while understand exactly what he means😂 it’s kinda like a language if u think about it.
Thats how i explain lol
The reflective light or rather ambient light in the environment will typically color the shadows where that ambient light can hit. Any shadows where that light can't get to will typically not reflect much. It's why if you look at a white building with a lot of shadowed areas, the cooler looking blue shadows will be the ones that has direct sight to the ambient light from the sky. While shadows that are directly beneath say an overhang of the building where it's face isn't facing the sky will be a lot warmer as it doesn't reflect much if any of the ambient light.
So technically the neck shadow shouldn't be a cooler shadow but a warmer shadow. Basically any area that isn't going to get much of that ambient light.
BTW your art is amazing, and the tutorials are pretty nice as well. Though I do think it would be a good idea to maybe write some key points you want to discuss on a notepad and also look up the information and write it down as well so you know how to explain some of these things in the future.

Sorry sir I can’t understand Harvard graduates
XD These comments are funny.
@A29 Animations
No problem :3. Glad it's helped.
*Looks at thumbnail* Oh shit, this looks complicated.
*Shades the skin of my piece as I follow the video* Wow.....that's not really hard after all.
Thank you for this tutorial and for the tips! I honestly abuse the airbrush tool, and now, thanks to your video, I managed to shade the skin! I didn't follow your video thoroughly since my piece is in front view and the lighting is pointed directly at her face. But luckily, I have my body chan figure and pointed the flashlight to it, for reference with the shading and highlights.
I accidentally read this as shades a piece of my skin and was so confused
oh, yeah, airbrush tool…not the best for shading, lmao

Dude being honest this is probably the best tutorial I've seen
everyone else just says you want to use these colors and put shadows where you think they should go
but you actually explained the reasoning behind it so for once I'm not more confused after watching a tutorial online
Real great work dude
I’m so glad I got to find your channel, this is like a late Christmas gift for me. Thanks for the tutorial! It really did help!
Ngl, coloring and shading is my weakest point, so thanks for this :)
Same also the hair coloring
@@invalidwasnottakenn8186 yup same
What bruh that’s my best part I CANNOT draw lineart sooooooo
why is this channel so underrated?? your tutorials are great
short and simple tutorials, legendary artist, and entertaining. yeah, I’m subscribing.
Dude you advice is really good! And your tutorials are a lot more thorough than most, too!
That was actually really good. Immediately tried it and I can say that it looks good. I just need to practice a lil' bit more. Thanks!
What brush do you use for shading? And I love your tutorials, they really help me with my art!
I think that he uses a soft brush, not to the point that it's an airbrush but a tool that has soft edges
It’s called a watercolor brush. I’ll do a tutorial on the brushes I use in the future
@@SomeNormalArtist ohhhhh
SomeNormalArtist oh, okay! Thank you!
I just started watching your channel a few days ago and I think it's pretty cool love ur drawings and style, you should do a video where u are drawing in a drawing app, I'll love to see that from an artist like you
You are seriously the only artist that will do a step by step process and do it in real time. I appreciate this dude.
can you make tutorial how to draw body please or draw folds of clothes pls
You can’t really make a tutorial on it, it changes on what type of clothes your character is wearing, if he/she is wearing a loose shirt there will be a lot of wrinkles, if it’s tighter it will have less. It depends on the situation. I would recommend going onto Pinterest and taking a lot of reference from photography and such things.
Hello! I think your videos deserve way more recognition, as I have helped to teach myself to draw by watching your vids and practicing.
i love how straightforward your tutorials are
me: challenges myself to color at the same pace as him
him: moves to the next shadow color
me: hHHHHH iM TRYING TO GET THE PERFECT STROKE
TOO RELATABLE
HES TOO FAAAAAAAAAST
Applying everything I learned from this guy into my art when I get home
your YT channel is underrated af
So I did this while drawing my art and im so happy with myself. THANK YOU SO MUCH. with this knowledge its another step to become a better artist
Thanks youtube for the suggestion. A great artist indeed😍😍. It will be a great help for me
Hi, I just want to say your tutorials are really easy to follow and I really enjoy watching them. These are really helpful for a beginner of digital art like me. I look forward to seeing more tutorials in the future!
"I just want it to be *short and simple* "

MAG1B00 12 minutes is short and simple lol
a drawing usually takes 12plus hours or 1 to 2 days or more
@@usuckatdrawing3029 wow well cuz I'm a lazy bum it takes me more than a week cuz I watch tutorials during drawing it and completely walk away from the drawing for a long time

It helped more than the ones who explain with lots of art-sy terms, i found it easy to understand, and i found the tutorial really helpful, thanks
Idk if I commented b4 but just wanna say thank you so much for your anime coloring tutorials. I draw for 4 years but I still absolutely sucked at coloring because I couldn't find a good coloring tutorial. Every time it was only those vague tips, even by professional artists, where they don't explain stuff properly, you know? But with your tutorials you were actually teaching how to do it and FINALLY I started to improve. Thank you so much. Pls never stop doing these youtube videos
"don't overdo the reflection, don't fill her u-.... don't fill up her face" biggest regret this man felt was right here
OH LAMOAOOO
this guy saved my drawing
thank you very much! you made me climb another step on this long journey as an artist
I’m a beginner who struggles at proportions, colouring everything, eyes and pretty much everything. I wouldn’t say I’m bad but I’m certainly not good at all. Your tutorials have really helped me improve and even though I’m still not great I can see a great improvement in my work. My goal is to become as good as you and these are really helping :)
tutorial for clothing folds please
Oh, for a second I thought you said folding clothes XD

Ahh yes another fantastic lesson from my favorite artist I'm definitely subscribed to.
Ilysm, I can finally color skin decentlyTT
Super helpful TBH, I never realized how many artists outline their shadows until you pointed it out in this vid
This helps so much, thank you!!! I've only been using two similar colors and soft shading. I kept wondering why it looked so awkward, this helped a lot.
Thank you SOSO much for your tutorials! I found you thro searching for a tutorial and i LOVE LOVE LOOOVE your art and your commentary! I want to go to art high school so youre teaching me alot!
Art classes in high school didn’t really help me with anything. I dont know if yours is different but mine wasn’t helpful.
@@SomeNormalArtist well we have diffrent high schools in our country! its like collage for us its hard to explain bassically the whole 4 years ill be focusing mainly on digital art and animation and stuffs i wont have any other classes like ill have math and art history etc. for one year then the other year i wont even have math anymore.Thank you for the reply and happy new year!

I love this tuitorial so much! It was really helpful! Thank you.
Your explanations are very good and thorough. Appreciate you.
This video was really helpful, but for me I like to add blush to the elbows, fingertips, nose, toes etc. This makes it cuter, and for the chibi character at the end it would look good.
Love it! It just made my artwork so much better looking. Thanks!
Yeah it helped me, LIKE
I already watched multiple videos and just realized I should have went along with the videos 😀
Thanks for the tutorial. It was very helpful :)
Has he done eyes because those eyes are GOOD 😌

Your tutorial Really helps me thank you! :D
I'd love to see the full process of one of your drawings! I'm not that good as to when to do what part, for example, I am curious as to why you detailed the hair (and the... Bust) before shading the skin... I'd love to hear why
I'm dumb it was for the sake of the tutorial I realize this now, coming back to this after getting much better
