This is my absolute favorite episode of Wings for two reasons: One, I am a HUGE Monkees fan, so I geek out every time I watch it; two, the moment Helen breaks down crying and Joe comforts her is so sweet. It reminds me of several moments between my own characters in the novel series I'm writing with my best friend. (She actually loves Wings more than I do! lol)
I love this show, funny how Joe talks Helen out of buying anything else before they go broke yet when they anounce Mc Jagger's leather jacket Joe rushes back in with a determined look on his face LMAO.
I'm glad that the woman let Peter have The Monkeemobile. He deserved it more. The only thing I didn't understand is if she was a big Monkees fan how come she never heared of Peter? RIP Peter Tork.
@@suzycreamcheesez4371 sorry I took so long to respond. I didn't realize that I mispelled the word heard. As to why I referred to Helen as "The Woman" ? I admit I never watched the show Wings. That was why I didn't know her name.
Too bad for us he didn't continue acting. He could have been one of the great character actors of his generation but music was too much of a pull for him.
I remember seeing this episode during my service years-AFN and laughed my A$$ off. Love the Moneys annnd he was always the quiet/ humble one!! RIP Pete-glad you got your mobile!!
It's just a silly TV show, I know, I know . . . however, if Helen's such a big fan of The Monkees, HOW could she NOT recognize Peter Tork, not even his name?
I took that to mean that she really wasn't a fan but had just grabbed onto the Monkees as a lifeline to her past because she had lost all of her real momentos.
@@billclarke770 - Hello Bill. I happen to be at the computer. Yes, I SAW the part where Helen laments losing her childhood items in the fire. I've a Psych Masters & run support groups for trauma survivors. My point is that, rabid buyer's obsession aside, even a casual Monkees fan would recognize Peter unless they are suffering from SEVERE Dis-associative Disorder. Helen's clear case supplied some laughs. PS - Our youngest child & I caught Peter, Mike & Mickey on their last tour. ALL still sounded great. Peter looked best. Peace & Love to you.
@@mjcamck I can now understand what Helen went through. I had my neighbor across the street lost her home in a fire this past January. She wasn't home when it happened but unfortunately she lost everything. Even her dog! She is currently living with relatives while her house is being rebuilt.
Peter Tork was so adorable. Miss him very much. We lost a gem in 2019. He still looked great.
R.I.P. Peter. What a sad day for all the gentle souls in the world.
My favorite Monkee Peter Tork. Rest in Peace. Willl luv you and miss you.
Always... 💖🥀💞💘⚘💙
RIP Peter....Peace and Love to my favorite hippie! 🎸✌
Peter Tork wasn't a hippie ? That's like saying McDonalds doesn't sell burgers.
We'll miss you Peter. Give Davy a hug from me.
Still sad that he's gone. Had to come see him again. He was a wonderful person ❤
Peter tork is true daydream believer
The pizza commercial he mention was Pizza Hut. Ringo Star and the Monkees
Lovely, loveable Peter - I miss you so much.
I'm so sorry Peter and Davy are gone. Boomers lost a part of our youth when we lost them.

Love that puffy shirt, Peter
Good job peter. You got a piece of history back. Go monkees!

Season 7 | Episode 6
24K for the "Monkeemobile"?
Wow. Buy of the decade.
Peter is my favorite
I used to watch Wings, but I never saw this episode.
The complete episode (She's Gotta Have It) is available online (I downloaded it and pulled this bit off it).

This is a clip from the 90's sitcom Wings.
None of it was real.
All scripted.
that woman? you mean Helen? and it's heard not heared what's with you???

I blame his Auntie Grizelda.
I think he was more of a musician than an actor.

That was the irony behind the scene.
