Today you'll be seeing me provide one of my clients with a overgrown lawn makeover cleanup service. This lawn hasn't been mowed for over 3 months. Upon arrival, I estimated the length of grass to be around 2 feet high on average, front and backyard. I made a few mistakes along the way. One being shooting grass at their house and fence, the other almost running over a sprinkler head. The last mistake was forgetting my side discharge chute. So I had to mulch their side strip with my bagging plug. Call out my mistakes when you spot them 👍🏼. That's the only way we all learn is when someone tells us.

I charge on how many times I’d have to cut!! If I triple cut due to tall grass then it’s triple the price, triple the labor! Not sure on time though as you’d have to be slower pace
You can tell this yard has been well maintained. The concrete borders with river rocks are nice. I wonder what is the story behind it getting so unkept? Hope nothing too severe. Life can really get in the way of things we come to take for granted. Many people probably would not have done the "Above and Beyond" as you did here. You are truly a good person and this is obviously not all about RUclips revenue.
We serviced it last year and they never called this year to continue. They said they forgot to get ahold of us but it happens.

Such nice attention to detail! So many of these lawn cutting videos show the lawn care person just blowing the leaves around one time so you don’t see any clumps but not really going back to get up all the clippings. It’s nice to see the commitment and dedication!

I have to say, for having gotten so high, it was at least very healthy - usually grass that gets that high just ends up being an old yellow-brown rug when you're done mowing it down to normal height, because it has all gone to stalk. I don't know what kind of grass that is, but it really looked great when you were done regardless. Great work!

There is no way on this earth you would be able to charge enough money for the time and the work you are doing on this job. Just the wear and tear on your machinery alone would destroy you. If you need any kind of help let me know you need some help I will help you and get you on out of there and move on to the next project no I'm saying cuz when you do it no quicker you do it more fast you want to have to worry about looking back so move on to the next line yes move on to the next in the bed so when you do that you going to have more money in your pocket and cash up in there so you have enough money in your check so I'm trying to find out if you want me to be helping you knocking it out help you out the way so that what I do the same thing you do I do so that's the name you know teach them people the ones don't want to work the people don't want to work for you so you can make a little money in your party and you'll have no money and you get paid on you get paid off real well and pretty good I got to keep up we can't look back can't slow down you got to keep going and make it more quicker and fast so when you get hot you got to be at that all day I didn't know hot sun all day cutting yard so understand but if you want me to be with y'all helping y'all helping you out I will do it so I love we you know picking up the paper while you cutting the grass and stuff and breaking the junk up so you won't have to worry about it so when you go back over it and then you can just understand so that what we do so when people throw trash out the doors in the crashing down throw it in the trash can that throw it in the yard I can tell you about that cuz you can look at them real hard and catch my God why they're riding by call when I did my yard like that I'm like who told all this paper I inside this road I have a weed and congrats that will make me so mad and pissed off and dangerous but they better not never try that no more I'm going to be right there@@fillslawncare
@@fillslawncare everybody call that lettering why they throwing the paper out in the yard when you cut your make the yard look more pretty and quick sweet that's why they don't like everybody yards so they did get mad cuz they don't want to pay up some for week the people we work for we got to teach them so the people we work for we got to take them folks come when you cut that you're looking pretty and sex and good and funny gorgeous everybody say it looks so good so when I did my backyard I did with the weed and take me long it ain't taking me long to do nothing so I did the back side and then both side but I ain't do that over there by the dog house so I need me up another weed if I can knock it on that way you know how fast I can do it with a weed and get this s*** out the way then I have to follow you behind when you skip over and I go over with weed and knocking on that way when I see grass standing up you can't let the grass down you got to go back over it lunch care so lunch now I'm letting you know I want to be with y'all I want to be working with y'all next year so understand I'm a good weed know how to do the screen and cut it where I want to cut it at but don't cut it down too long ago when you pop it out it'll jump out
@@fillslawncare but if I go at the door and take a picture of it and show you how did it with weed I'm going to show you how good I did in the backyard with the weed real good with a weed eater I ain't got no ride no more ain't got nothing so I had to do it where the wheel we ain't got no lawn mower we'll have to do it with the weed all the way up if I said it looks so good and fashionable and that look real f****** good but I ain't doing all around the house by the air conditioning stuff in the unit so I got to find me some more gas and stuff like that

I used to own a lawn mowing business in Australia and in certain places if the grass was quite long, I’d refuse to do it for fear of there being a red bellied snake in the long grass waiting to bite me. Thankfully the worse that happened was a bee sting to one of my employees.

First of all, it is nice to see someone on RUclips that knows how to use a rider the way it was designed - for forward cutting. Slow enough to let the machine do the cutting. Most, half of their time is spent backing up, backing up, backing up. Nice to see someone using their brains. Refreshing change. Very nice work.

SOOOO much grass in the beds. Chute blockers are real.
Also, taking 1/4 or 1/2 width passes are real too. So many ways to save the extra work you made for yourself. But that comes with experience. You're doing a good job on the videos.
I use to rake the lawn by hand but now I use a 50” Agri-Fab pull behind sweeper and it works great!

Woo, that was a lot of grass! Beautiful, lush, green grass but a lot. It never ceases to amaze me how different these properties look when you are done. Now it looks classy.
FINALLY!!! Someone who cuts lawns for a living is ready to vacuum up the overgrowth and lay down some cut lines for the client. Perhaps with the lawn looking like it does now, the owner won't let it grow so badly in the future, and hopefully would realize the value of your work and would hire you again. I get weary of other YT lawn platforms where the owner says in essence, "Hey, this is Florida Bermuda grass, end even though the overgrown lawn is full of ugly grass clumps, in a few days they'll disappear, so I don't vacuum anything up." Well, you do, sir, and your work has a WHOLE LOT BETTER APPEARANCE, compared to those who couldn't be bothered to pick up the cut grass. One critical comment on the mower: it appears the discharge chute becomes a constant choke point for cut grass . Perhaps re-designing a better attachment point to the deck that is wider and less restrictive would be in order.
Thank you! Yes we take our time and take pride in our work. We always bag when we can, unless for some reason customer does not want it bagged. I like the ascetic look of a clean lawn with no sign of loose/clumped grass. Thank you for watching.
As for the chute tube design, yeah Hustler needs to redesign these bagging systems for their residential models. Poor design, always clogs when grass is wet
@@fillslawncare They could begin by making those collection bags deeper. One would assume that if you purchased a Hustler mower, it would be because you've got some substantial acreage to tame. The bags should also be re-designed and re-fashioned with this in mind.

I live in the country and have geese. I love watching the geese eat the seeds off of the tall grass. Good source of food. Grass seeds can be ground up to make a gluten free flour too, but I just let my geese enjoy the seeds.
Beautiful job! There is nothing like a well groomed yard! You can have the most beautiful house on the street but if you don't have a well maintained yard which includes raking, weedeating, edging and trees and shrubs trimmed, it surely takes away from the beauty of the home!
