I Found This Overgrown ABANDONED House & Gave It A FREE Lawn Makeover

- When you see extremely overgrown lawns in your neighborhood like this, it's easy to quickly assume the homeowner is lazy or the place is abandoned. What 99% of people WON'T do is go knock on the door and offer to help them mow it down. Today, you'll be watching me completely transform the lawn back into its original state. A well needed extreme lawn makeover.
This grass was so tall, I had to mow the grass multiple times in order for it to mulch up nice and evenly across the lawn. There were trees in the back that needed to be trimmed up. That job alone is for another day. My guesstimate is probably a couple hours of pruning, shaping, and removal of debris.
I hope you enjoy. Make sure to LIKE & SUBSCRIBE for more videos like this 🌿

There comes a time in every man's life when he must ask himself, "Do I mow or do I harvest?" This was such a day. Great job as always.
😂😂😂😂😂 Lol
Best reply yet! Coffee flew at least 2 ft right out of my mouth. My husband thinks I'm insane now. 😆 🤣 😂
🤣 that's funny!
I bet you have a super personality and are fun to be around!!!!
I confess, I harvested!😅 I was hit by an SUV and couldn’t mow. Grass grew over the fence about 6-7 ft tall. This year my elderly mom and I yanked out all the tall ones by the roots. Thank God my yard is about .09 ac. God will either send an angel like Fill or give us strength to accomplish the job at hand. 🙏🏼
I just talked with a 75 year old friend yesterday. She has a friend, a First Responder, who had extensive surgery on their right arm. My friend happened to pass her yard and saw it was way tall. Though my friend has poor health herself, she stopped and said, "I'm going to mow your yard." The other woman started crying. She'd called numerous people for help, offered to pay and no one had "wanted" to help. So overgrown yards aren't something to run from, they are a sign something is seriously wrong somehow and help is needed. Thanks for your help Fill and scheduling for the two days needed.
Thank you for sharing Robert. We need more people like your friend in this world.
That was a nice thing you did for your friend. 👍👍👍👍
@@fillslawncare I think you have to sharp the Cutter Knifes on your Hustler 😉
Well said!
@@neusac4590 I think it was the 75yo friend who cut the grass. Kudos to her.
the mowing and the edging are what soothes my soul.
That was immensely satisfying. Thank you for cross cutting and mulching.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Don't forget to LIKE & SUBSCRIBE as that is the best way to support the channel. Thank you 😊
my guess oldsmobile 442 or buick skylark
I take a nap after watching you great work ethic
1968-69 Buick Skylark, the tail lights are horizontal the two "ribs" or raised section on the trunk lid and trim where the orange meets the white is straight up Buick, those are the give away. Oldsmobile Cutlass rear lights were vertical.
Good analysis Robert 👍🏼
Robert I was trying to zoom in on it. At first I thought it was a 69 Olds 442. When he showed it there is no mistaking it. Definitely a Buick Skylark, a beautiful car.
Mow, trimming, and mulch? This episode was outstanding! Well done.
That was insane. Everyone in the neighborhood should give you a tip for raising their property values.
Yes sir haha 😄
I know it is going to look good when your done. You take pride in your work, it shows. Your a hard worker.
Great job. I was struck by the lack of trash all over the yard. Many times in yards this overgrown, you see a lot.
Yeah that's true. This area was clean for the most part
I like the fact that you wear green and gold. Aussie colours, Aussie Aussie Aussie Oi Oi Oi 👍🇦🇺😝😂 oh and the transformations, because there is nothing better than a freshly mowed lawn 😍
I fell down the rabbit hole of your videos. My late husband mowed similar to how you mow. And it brought back such fond memories. So refreshing to see a young man taking such pride in the work he does...and doing it right. You are an inspiration to many I am sure. Keep up the great work, if nothing else, you are making older people think better of the next generation. Many blessings to you. You are amazing.
Speaking as someone who due to disability could no longer cut my own yard, I cannot thank you enough for all the help you offer to people in this situation. You NEVER know what someone is going through. Go ask if you can help. I had numerous people I paid who just eventually blew me off.
Very sad, so sorry 😞
WOW!!! Incredible before and after, I'm sure the owner was appreciative you did this for free, and were able to eliminate one of their stresser ❣️TIP: Keep a vase (could be plastic) in your truck, and when you come across a property, like this one, that has pretty wild flowers, pick some up before you start to mow and take them home to your wife in the vase. I'm sure you will make her day with the "just because" gesture 💐😊
When my wife and I got married 36 years ago, I was working for a landscaping company. We had several property's on our route that had beautiful roses that I naturally had to prune for the customer. I brought home a dozen or more roses for the wife at least every other day, until she got tired of them, and decided that she wanted Carnations 🤣😂.
That's a really good idea :)
Fill, I enjoy everything that you've done to bless others. I'm a detail person, and perfectionist. And I appreciate your precision, with " taking a dutiful mess, & refurbishing into a vision of God's Portrait. I believe the car was a Charger.
The homeowner now can look out the window and see a beautiful yard again. It looks great!
I've watched a few different lawn care channels, but after watching you I can't watch them.. their final results are somewhat messy compaired to yours. The absolute care you put into your work is amazing!
I had to laugh at 06:24 - that look you gave thinking _"Should I just plough through and take a chance? Yeah, I'll go for it!"_ That was a huge property. Another great video brother, keep it up Fill :)
Too bad he couldn't "bale the hay", would make for some happy horses, or cows, or goats...
Thanks guys. Maybe I'll have to invest in a hay bailer here soon
@@fillslawncare I think someone should invent a reel mower attachment that goes on the front. Then the 'hay' would be cut down then chewed up by the mower blades.
Man that yard was bad! I mean bad! That grass was the hardest to get mowed down I’ve ever seen. But you just kept mowing! Great job! Thanks for all you do. Blessings from the Oklahoma City Grandmother.
I just watched you cut the grass at the abandoned house and you are a great guy for doing all those yards for free I admire you great job
I do like the questions. And I like your choice of music on the before and after pictures. I have never seen a car like the one you pictured. I have complications with my legs and have cancer. I spend a lot of time with my legs elevated. I have trouble sleeping (lack of exercise more than likely) But as you are helping others with yards you are also helping me. I get bored with so little I can do, but the sound of the mower, blower, weed whacker and edger lulls me to sleep. My lap top is a very appreciated tool. So thank you for helping others and taking time to video and edit. God Bless You!
You have a heart of gold
Another great video. I really enjoy the real time mowing, trimming and blowing, with no music.
This yard looks very nice you have done a very good job .keep up the good work .thank u for mowing yards for people who can't .
Such a beautiful piece of property. Such a shame to see it so neglected. You made it look amazing as usual. Your camera angles and editing skills make your videos that much more enjoyable. I’m a huge fan. ❤️
Blessings from Canada too
Another from Tx. Blessings and a heartfelt thank you for helping someone!
This job was way behind. Some of what you mowed was not only tall and thick but wet. The contrast between having a normal yard again from when you started with the tall overgrowth shows technique, courage and is a wonderful change for the owner and neighborhood. Definitely best wishes to the owner and am glad they can safely navigate their yard again. I'll bet even those bearing cherry trees had been out of reach.
All I have to say is excellent job. 👏👏👏👏👏 That was an overgrown yard. The neighborhood will appreciate your work.
Beautiful transformation! The car looks like an Oldsmobile Cutlass
Thank you Marie 😊
I'm so honored to see you in action. You provide a wonderful service to your communities. I know it's hard work and yet you do such detailed work. So proud of you. Thank you for sharing. God Bless.
The entire job was fun to watch. The yard is extensive, but after all of your hard work the entire property looks great.
There's just something so satisfying watching your videos. For me though I think it's the edging of sidewalks and driveways.
Yes, the edging and trimming puts the cherry on the TOP.
Greetings from Puerto Rico 🇵🇷
Extremely good at restoring neglected properties and bringing them back to their intended beauty.
That is best lawnmower I’ve seen on all these shows.
Yup, it's a wild one for sure. Incredible lot size. Home actually looks empty. You never know ones path/journey they have in their lives. Great tidy up on this one. Well done
Thank you for doing it the smart way and NOT weed whacking first.
What a beautiful job you have done, not many other people would do what you have done even to the families who you have no idea who they are. Another job well done as always God bless you.👍👍
Once again, what an amazing transformation!
Thank you Deb
This is the best transformation I’ve seen on any lawn mowing video. You outdone yourself on this one friend.
Thank you Nathan 😊
@@fillslawncare you are most welcome. God bless my friend.
In all fairness… probably 50% of the 99% that don’t knock, don’t have the ability to transport the equipment needed to mow overgrown lawns. Great job as usual!!
It must be so satisfying to do this! To make such an amazing change and be able to see it, it must fill you with pride and joy. Well done 👏
What a transformation! I prefer the trimming and edging most, I just love those tidy edges. I appreciate your attention to detail!
Wonderful job on the mowed lawn. You make yard cleanup seem easy. You’re a professional. Thank you
The car looks like a 70 Chevelle SS with custom wheel cover on the back. As for the property, before Fill's I can say the roses are beautiful. After Fill's, I can say the whole lawn looks beautiful. Fantastic job. And the roses are still beautiful. Looking forward to the pruning video. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you 😊
My first thought was Chevrolet as well! Great job on a big project Fill!
Hey great mind's think alike. I was going to say Chevelle too. Thing is I've noticed that the 1970 Monte Carlo has the same rear area, roof configuration.
Nope not a Chevelle. It's a Buick, I believe it would be a Skylark or the performance model was a GS.
I think it's an 1970 Olds 442.
Dude, you really take pride in the work you do. A lost art in America I fear.
I was driving to the store the other day and came across a mowing guy. He was throwing grass out into the street , not going in reverse like you do to avoid that 🤦🏼♀️. Oh yeah, he was probably getting paid for the job too!
With all this terrible hot weather I'd like you to know that I appreciate another lawn makeover from you. Another job very well done.
I like doing the overgrown lawns it can be a challenge but I love to help other peoples lawns and plus I don’t give up on doing overgrown lawns. You did a fantastic job Fill
Thank you my friend :)
rumputnya tinggi sekali...wow luar biasa...tindakan yang tepat sekali, halaman menjadi bersih dan indah...
I watch your contents from Australia and enjoy seeing how much detail you do even on abandoned homes you still give the lawns a good mow and trim keep up the awesome work you do I appreciate your work
Hey there young man! I am from Ohio bd I no that I've watched all ur videos that I could find on utube, but I am so blessed to be able to see thrm even though I've watched them over nd over again. Lol. But I just wanna tell u, plz don't stop helping those who can't do for themselves. U will always be blessed nd number 1 to me. Keep up the good work nd may the GOOD LORD ALWAYS BLESS U ND UR LOVELY FAMILY. Keep the faith young man.
I like your content, it's pleasant and relaxing, periodically I visit people in need of lawn care and do theirs at no cost. Keep inspiring others.
The reason I like these video's is the before and after and how it got there. A combination of all you do.
Another job well done. Thank you for helping someone in need. You are a very special young man with a lot of self motivation, a big heart and you take a lot of pride in the work you do for others. God bless you.
You bring order from disorder. Why we love watching you. It is indeed soul-soothing.
I seriously get a huge smile on my face when ever u post a new video!! Love ur work!
Thank you. I really appreciate it
So long I need me a shirt when I start doing your next year next time I'm going to wear my shirt and my hat so I need me a new shirt like you got on so how much your shirt offline care how much can you send me your shirt I want to know how much your shirt here by going to say how you got that shirt don't worry about it I got it from a friend called my homework is my homeworkers work hard we work hard we put it down we knock it out the way we don't play around
Awesome clean up! I am sure the neighbors appreciated your effort. God Bless!
Fill ,when you do good you get good 👍 GOD bless you and your family 👪, you are a better man than I!!!
good job. it looks good. Glad to see you didn't chop down all the flowers in the flower beds against the house.
One of my favorite spots was when you stopped, took a picture of the 68-68 Buick Sky park street rod and said what is that? Loved it! Nice car wasn't it? Now, if you'd just gone over and taken a closer look!! I went back for another look!!
I am so glad you didn't have to do that entire yard with a weedeater! Although, I have watched a channel where AP does use a weedeater on yards that big instead of his pushmower. Do you ever trim trees...or only if asked?
Stupendous job!! Next time you spot a street rod, please take a closer look!! All Street Rodgers love to show their cars to someone! Again...fantastic job! It looks 100% better!! You deserve a medal!! 🏅🏅👍👍😎🇨🇱🇨🇱
Thank you my friend. I really appreciate your comment :) I do love hot rods!
Great job 👍🏼. Tall grass and weeds gone 😊 wild flowers gone 😉 they'll come back. You didn't cut back the roses, Lilies and honeysuckle or the white flowers against the house 👍🏻😃 ,trash picked up 😊, mowed over 1 potential shade thee in the front yard 😢 . As I said it was a great job.
ALWAYS enjoy your videos, this one was much like one I just did for a young Air Force couple, although your job was considerably taller. Very nice work my friend. What I enjoy most about this type of video is the instant gratification, you get there it's a mess, you leave and it's beautiful...I always liked that.
Very nice transformation , you done Fil, i watched this show X 2 already , lucky guy to have his property done for free, you got a good heart , Fil, helping people with surgery, more blessings for your channel, Fil, Gid bless you always, Fil
You keep finding these amazing transformation jobs fill thanks for all that you do and keep up the amazing work sir
Thanks Andrew :)
That grass was soo thick.
It really took several passes to get it chopped. Beautiful job 👏
Another awesome clean up! That was a bit of a mess to say the least. Your mowers did a fine job for sure! I always enjoy you doing such nice work for those more unfortunate. Thank you for what you do for others in your community! Wish there were more folks like you.
I really injoy watching you of all you do pls keep up the good work you'll be bless 100 fold very nice indeed thank you for being a good neighbor!
I really like how you actually seem to have a pattern in you mowing. Have watched several others RUclips yard services, that seem to have no pattern and waste a lot of time. Have mowed those tall grasses and yes you do have to go over them 2 or 3 times, even with sharp blades. Love your work.
Yes he does 💯❤️
You’re so good at what you do….makes me tired watching you…..I’ve always liked mowing my own yard…you never miss doing it till you can’t do it anymore….keep up the good work…👍👍👍🤜🤛😅
Nice job mate!! That was a big one!! Looked awesome once you got it finished!! Look forward to the next video buddy! Have a great day! 🍻🤙
I cant pick a favorite part. I love watching your videos. Always such a complete clean transformation.
Great job, a little hint, I had a landscaping business for ten years and did many yards like this, i would suggest try doing a strip right up the middle then blow everything into the center. It will be alot easier on the machine and it will cut alot easier, you can then go back and cross cut... Hope it helps it make it easier for you....
When I worked in harvesting we opened up the field by "laying out lands." We chopped them out by going up the middles, then around what was left always blowing to the outside.
That yard needed some serious work and you cleaned it up nicely and good choice on using the Hustler not sure your other zero turn would have been able to mow the really tall stuff and the classic car was a 68 Buick skylark GS probably a stage 1 equipped with a 400 cubic inch big block V8
Thanks for the info I was like is it a 71? I was about to do a Google search! 😂
@@leashy1204 A71 version would be almost a carbon copy of the 71 Chevelle except for the head and tail lights front bumper hood stripes rear spoiler and badging
@@floydbolyard2736 I wonder how that 68 rides? Zoom zoom! That would be something! I love old cars!😊
Liking the old Olds across the street, and the old Olds across the street.
Awesome work brother. We all should be doing something like this for people in our own neighborhoods.
Hi Phil, I love the whole process as you mow!! From beginning to end you do an awesome job. I think one of the best parts I enjoy is seeing the before and after shots!! What a transformation. Thank you and God bless you. 😊
My favorite part of the video may be seeing the before and afters. I’m always amazed to see the beauty and order that your work brings. I also like seeing the views around the places you work and trying to place where you are. The Spokane area, North Idaho, etc. Is home to me and even though I am visiting often, I still really miss it.
I didn't look down the scroll all the way, the car is a Buick Skylark. Possible early to mid 1970's. I enjoy your channel and you beginning prep is excellent.
Great job! You made the yard look like someone actually lives there.
Hi Fill, I just wanted to comment about people getting on you when you did not place the decorator brick back into place. I say to hell with them. Your too nice. A lot of people just want to be negative. They are never happy no matter what you do. I know I am 67, and I see this every day. Just keep on doing what you do. All the best to you and yours, Bp
I am sorry that I sound rough...but I am kinda tired of people doing the wrong things, including myself. We could solve a lot of our problems if we just try. We use all kinds of excuses for all the bad things we do. People are not that crazy are they? We all need to try harder to get along. You would be suprised what people will do if your fair and nice to them. Why do we hurt and destroy each other. I pray for our children and women. Everyone. Your doing a wonderful thing Fill.
Great job! Can't wait to see you trim that up. That's a lot of extremely tall grass that you mowed! I hope the homeowner was happy and if it's not being currently lived hopefully this will help get a new homeowner.
Fantastic job!! God Bless you as well.
I always look forward to your new videos. Your work is so organized and skilled. I also enjoy the long camera angles whish allow the viewer to see a wide range of the area and complete view of what's being done. Thank you!!
You did a lot of work and it look beautiful you are such a nice and care person todo al this for free to help GOD BLESS YOU SO MUCH
It is always interesting to see how you tackle each job. This one was pretty big and took a lot to get it where you wanted it. Each part of your job has a different dimension to it which you handle quite well but my main concern is the blower unit you wear on your back. I can't help but think it isn't good for your "internal apparatus" but if you are ok with it then that is fine with me. Take care and have a great day! Thanks.
Chevy Nova!!! 1970’s ?
Great job 💜 That was a huge job.
it's a 1968-69 Buick Skylark SS. I used to have one and so did my parents.
1972 Buick Skylark? What a banger job you always do Fil. Well done ✝️👍🏼🇺🇸
I really enjoyed watching all that long grass slowly disappear. It was incredible. What an amazing transformation !!!
I like the riding mower and edger. I like the sound for some weird reason
Great job on that big over grown lawn and that car looks like a Buick Skylark
You got it :)
Judging by the taillights, I would say it is a late 60’s Buick Skylark or Ford Torino.
I like how your channel is growing!! It’s all your hard work you put into the videos and yards you are mowing . Thanks 😊
I watch your videos to help me sleep. I find them relaxing, especially the trimming. Love all your videos
No one seems to want to do those corner lots! 😅 you’re very good at what you do! - watching from Lake Wales, Florida
I haven't waded through all comments but that car you called out, possibly an early 70's Buick GS.
The amount of care you put into each and every yard is truly what sets you apart from all the others! Beautiful transformation (as always!)
Was that a Chevy Chevelle in the distance? Had one when I was in my early 20’s. Paid a whopping $250! Poor thing was beat to death when I bought it, but boy could it move!! (Don’t I wish I’d kept it now?! Lol!)
It looks like a70 Olds 442.
Long & strong grass, cleaned up beautifully, great job!
Big job Fill 💜 You sure gave your Hustler a workout. Great work and I appreciate how many times you had to move your camera around👍🏼🙏🙏🇦🇺
I liked it all, mowing, trimming and blowing and now I will check the comments to see what kind of car that was . 😄
Outstanding transformation, on a beautiful piece of property with a knock-out view. It just made the beauty of that rural street ''pop". It looks like a scene from a postcard now, so neat and clean with beautiful trees.
You seem to volunteer services at a lot of yards with very tall overgrown trees and bushes. you need a medium folding ladder or began standing atop your large mower for added reach! This is how you not lean into poisin ivy or a bee hive! Also very very important in this line of work to always wear gloves. Look around all other outdoor long time workers all wear gloves!
