My dad always had his Yorkshire pudding first before his dinner, always separate, and then if mum had made enough batter we had them for our dessert, sugar/butter or golden syrup, ice cream what ever we had in. Good memories. ❤ to you both from a Yorkshire lass who enjoys your channel immensely, thank you guys. ♥️
Before I even read you were a Yorkshire lass I knew it by you saying your dad had his Yorkshire pudding before his dinner. It used to be used as a starter or as a dessert like you said. My mum was a Yorkshire lass & made the best Yorkshire puddings. She used to put a bit of the mixture into the gravy as well & it made the best gravy to go with the roast beef dinner. A neighbour used to give me beef dripping butties. Just bread dipped in the beef dripping from the roast. OMG!! Happy days😋
@@Angel-002 YES! proper food, I still cook tripe and onions, oxtail stew and dumplings my girls love the stews but keep away from the tripe, I have an amazing farm shop down the road it’s family run, and it’s produce is wonderful, I get all my meat from him. Thank you for your comment Angel it’s nice to connect memories, have a good afternoon best regards to you and yours.
Hello both. I love the fact that you are giving us budget options in these challenging times and with smiles on you faces. Your subscriber numbers will go up 😀
😋. The list is endless to what you can add for very little extra cost and, if you add potatoes etc, you could stretch the mix to four Yorkshire puds. ❤
Hi Martine and Sharon looks so good when I was a kid mum used to do savoury mince and bake it in the oven I loved it and now I do it like you have in a lovely Yorkshire pudding. I love your videos you are so natural and funny. Please carry on doing what you do. 👍👍❤️
There's a lot to be said for comfort food. We have so many cooking shows where even simple things tend to be time consuming and elaborate. I miss the dags of Delia Smith showing how to cook good honest simple food where you don't need to a master of techniques and terminology. Videos like this show how to pull something together with relatively little effort and time whe we've all got extra pressures on us both in terms of time and budget. Another thing I enjoy is the swish back and forth of a dogs tail 🙂
Great idea to use mince, I usually put sausage, mash and veg with lots of gravy, in large Yorkies. Just added them to my shopping list. A very tasty meal thanks Sharon and Martin, must smell good Merlin kept popping in 😀❤🐕🦺xx
Hi Martin and Sharon I remember Sharon the birds eye mince beef boil in the bag I had cravings for them with my oldest son that was 1987 what a memory 😊
Hi Martin and Sharon that looks fantastic and cant wait to try this one. I have even sent away for a induction hob like your's plus i've got your Ninja AF400. You two are costing me a fortune but i don't mind. All your recommended products are so good. Plus you Sharon are such a dam good cook. Keep the recipes coming you two.
I did think why not just cook the Yorkshires and dish it up on the plate but when I saw it all crisped up I thought hell yeah. I don't like peas so I loved your beans idea. Lovely with a side of mash 😋😋😋
Absolutely delicious Martin and Sharon,l love them, l make them with roast beef and chicken with roast potatoes and veg. I’ll be definitely trying the mince.😋👍
Mashed Potato on that would turn it into quite a substantial all in one meal, oh how I wished we would get those Yorkies in our stores in Australia, I'd be on it like a bonnet 😋
Oh Sharon what beauties!! Need a few chips or roast spuds chucking with it. That filling would go very well with a jacket potato instead of a yorkshire pud. Very versatile. Can I also remind everyone to take a look at vegtasticmum- great treacle pud going on there! All just what you need as this miserable weather hits us.
When you put that kitchen roll in between the pan and the plate it’s like Harry Potter magic it doesn’t burst into flames.looks beautiful and a great price 👍👍👍👍👍
I'll be going for big Yorkies tomorrow lol. I could watch you two all day, and the cookery vlogs 🤣what a pair so down to earth. Thank you for another great vlog.👍💞
Looked very tasty. I do love mince. 👍👍😁 making a meal with Yorkshire Puddings is a great idea, very wholesome. I was just thinking how about putting a breakfast in a Yorkshire (Lovely jubbly) 👍👍😁
I do basically same thing, but do the yorkshires in couple of mins in air fryer by them selves, then put filling in on plate when ready to serve. But they do make a lovely meal
Hallelujah! - I've been trawling through your videos trying to find the one that mentions the Maggi seasoning, and here it is at last! I remember it from way back, but couldn't find it in any of my local supermarkets so I've got some coming from Amazon tomorrow, in time for my weekend oxtail stew. - Give the oxtails a quick blast in the air fryer to brown them all over, then chuck them into the crockpot with some pickled shallots, carrots and celeriac for a long, slooow, cook. (Using pickled shallots may sound a bit weird, but the vinegariness cooks out of them and helps to tenderise the meat.)
Wow! I love Yorkshire puds because they taste delicious and are so versatile for different ingredients. Well done Sharon, it looked amazing. As for you Martin...You just couldn't help yourself, without mentioning, meat and two veg! Lol.🤣🤣 Take care guys.x
You two are so fab, miss you doing recipes on other days but I understand how busy you are, can't wait for a Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday to come around. I'm struggling with doing pastry in the ninja foodi can't seem to get it right, any advice would be great, love you loads
Ohh yes that looked amazing, my mouths watering now, great video guys, love the way Martin walks off, looking cheeky and naughty, makes me giggle everytime, top drawer viewing guys, 👍🏻❤
Martin and Sharon, this is lovingly named "the mince thing" (has been for many years lol) in our house 😅 my two daughters love this with steamed broccoli and potatoes. Excellent stuff 👍👍👍👍👍
Looks yummy! I just saw on Vernaz' channel she had made keto yorkshire minis. Hers had a mushroom mix filling. I'm going to try those and fill some similar to what you have here!
I remember in the early ‘50s they dished up savoury mince in the cookhouse and it was one of my favourite meals. Bet they’d be even cheaper if you made yr 3 glasses batter.
Well anther outstanding video yous 2 I feel your part of my family and the spoon I use all the time that’s the food I go for comfort thanks iv just stated watching your channel x bri
Sharon Martin you've done it again a nice simple meal that will fill anyone's belly with the mixture left over you yould makes a pie or couple of pies love fran xxx
You can add herbs to the mince as well or spices & put mashed potatoes on top when you've filled the Yorkshire pudding. Absolutely 😋 Cheap & cheerful Edit: Lamb keema is also very nice in it. Made with lamb mince & you can mix some rice in with it to make it a more substantial & cheaper meal
Ahhh, looks so delicious, I can almost smell it! My mother used to make Yorkshire puddings, but I’ve never been able to master the art without them coming out horribly, so I’m happy to see they come pre-made , just hope I can find them in Washington! I love your videos for fun, food and cooking ideas, so many thanks 🙏 I was just thinking that one could maybe make a mashed potato topping and have combo of shepherds pie and Yorkshire? Maybe, too much! ❤
I add mashed potatoes on top of savoury mince in Yorkshire pudding & it is yummy & makes the complete meal. Regarding your Yorkshire puddings if you have your mother's recipe it's all to do with aeration & resting & having hot oil in the tray. So if you whip it up so it's smooth & frothy then leave it to stand for an hour or so then whip it up again just before you pour it into the tray. The tray has to be hot & so does the oil in it so pour whichever oil or butter you use into the tray & heat up then pour your whipped up mixture in & don't open the oven door whilst they are cooking. I hope this helps. My mum taught me & she was a Yorkshire lass

I make my giant Yorkshire pudding in 8 inch pan in my air fryer preheated with butter. I turn it half way through cooking. Amazing!

You could make them in two cake tins ?
I was thinking that too!! Lol. I have seen small ones frozen, so i will try this recipe with them but, the large yorkshires would have been nice!

Will have to try that. Looks like good comfort food

Proper home cooking
You could also just heat the Yorkshire’s then add your cooked mince 😊
I think that's a better idea
No the meat was nicer on the top
