I started watching jaclyn at 21 years old. Just turned 21, had a freak accidentand ended up severing my spinal cord. Paralyzed in a wheelchair. When I tell you while I was in the hospital in rehab for 4 month. She was the only one who brought a smile to my face. My husband (boyfriend at the time) bought me some Mac and a travel set of brushes and just sat in bed and did makeup. She really got me through. Almost 35 and still watching my girl!!!!!
As an elder millennial that grew up watching Jaclyn and now as a mom watching Avery, this was so wholesome and nostalgic. I LIVE FOR HOW MUCH APPRECIATION you have for each other. ❤

People talk a lot of shit on Jaclyn, say what you want about her she is a businesswoman. I have been following her since I was in middle school probably close to 12-13 years now. I bought her OG palette, her vault collection, her lipsticks, and I have quite a bit from Jaclyn Cosmetics and I still use it every time I do my makeup. There’s a reason she is one of the OG RUclipsrs. Love her❤

(ifykyk) i will admit, i strained away from jaclyn after the divorce and lip sticks just bc i could see she was not happy, and everything was a fake smile. seeing her now, it brings me to tears. i am so happy for her. it takes a lot of guts to point out whats wrong within yourself and to change, and i mean that towards lifestyle choices and friend choices etc. I AM SO PROUD OF HER.

I LOVE her. This was the best. I’m living for her being so happy. You can just see it looking at her eyes and smile. Jaclyn and her videos meant a lot to me. I had just gotten sober when I started watching her, it was 2014, and i was a single mom that just moved back in with my parents at 30 years old. She was my inspiration. I know that may sound silly but I found so much confidence in myself from watching her videos and watching her techniques and it helped me become comfortable with the person I was after so many years of drug use to numb the trauma. Crazy to think back on how long ago that was. God willing, I’ll be 10 years sober in December. Love you Jaclyn!
So much relatability on your comment and it doesn’t sound silly at all. I have 11 years sobriety on the 25th and Jaclyn really got me through my recovery in the beginning. She gave me confidence to dive into my love for makeup and was a healing tool for me to relax and be in my own positive space. Congratulations on working through almost 10 years of sobriety, it is a beautiful thing.

I think she is a very troubled person and I don’t exactly think she plans ahead to do shitty things. But shitty things happen whenever she’s involved and then cannot handle it. Why she cannot handle tough things, I don’t know. Not my problem. She’s just a very fragile person I guess. But I don’t think she’s some mastermind that wanted all of these tough things to happen.
The trauma that Jaclyn has endured is so huge that seeing her so happy and healthy is amazing. People, including me, crumble and break for so much less. I am still trying to recover from trauma and it is so freaking hard. For example, I deal with anxiety and depression, and just taking steps to get healthier is so freaking hard. People that have not gone through it may not understand the amount of energy that for me taking a shower may take. I remember that just putting on my sneakers for working out took me like 2 hours of overthinking and pure panic, and still until today, doing a simple work out every day feels so freaking painful. One hour of exercise demolishes my brain and body, during the day is so freaking hard to work and focus. I do it because I know it is good for me not because I enjoy it. Anyways, the fact that she doing so good is incredible inspiring. It may piss some people off that she is so likable and funny that she still has an amazing career. Jaclyn you are blessed with an amazing personality. I think we all are blessed with something amazing and we all (struggling) can get inspired, get up and do our best every day to get where we want to be.

I got married 8 years ago to my husband. I wore a 60’s style white lace dress from Forever 21 with a gold and black choker with a cameo. I was for a long time embarrassed by this - although I know I looked great. We married at the Courthouse in Austin, TX. Hearing you say that you wore a dress similar to my makes me so very happy. 🥰
I remember being 12 years old, sneaking into my sisters room and watching Jaclyn Hill and Nicole. They taught me makeup and I still love them to this day. I am now married, a mother, college student and they are still so inspiring. Now I watch Avery, another woman inspiration to me. Jaclyn is the reason I love makeup so so much to this day.
I remember when all the lip sticks happened, and I was desperate to get my hands on some. I didn't care if they were fuzzy at alllllllll. I just wanted to support my girl. Then her next launch of the baked highlighters were for christmas. I bought them as soon as it launched, and still do my makeup with this pallet every single morning as my mirror.

I have been waiting for years to hear all about this! I worked at Ulta while all of this was going on and our store held a meet and greet with Jaclyn and Morphe for her eyeshadows! It was so CRAZY! People camped out the night before and there were so many people there! Jaclyn is stunning, and she has grown in such an amazing way!
