- Hi! Well, we FINALLY got to plug our little caravan into the electric for the first time and set it up on a site! We visited Gallaber Farm - a cute, quiet little site in Ingleton very close to Ingleton Waterfalls Trail in Yorkshire. Only an hour from home, but that was enough for our first time!
Our caravan is an Xplore 586 with bunk beds.

I miss camping. Its so nice doing simple things as a family with no technology. Cards, games, walks. And it's so COZY!!!! And storms are awesome in a caravan xx

Absolutely loved watching this vlog. Your Abbi is so sweet, bless her. Happy birthday Abbi. You got away easy, down south our temps hit 34°C, you would have literally cooked in your caravan for sure. Plenty of lovely caravan parks down this end, with the added bonus of gorgeous beaches. Cornwall, Dorset, Devon...... take your pick. As always, thanks for sharing your family time with us...❤️
Oh goodness I have NO idea how you cope when it gets so high! Luckily at home I have a fan, and a 'cooler' room in the house. Nowhere to escape to in a field LOL Yes its lovely there, I remember it always being super windy!! lol x
I love watching you and your family have a great time together it gives me terrific memories of the past when my children were all small and my husband was alive thank you for that you'll never know how much it means and it's so nice to see families doing things together like that not that I don't love your cakes because they're amazing but so is your family thank you for sharing and not thinking I'm too crazy but keep on caking

You always have to pack for all sorts of weather. I liked it when you were listening in on the animals!
Ha ha I used to, but attempted to pack 'light' this time just in case it wouldn't go in the caravan space - totally regretted it haha That sheep was so rowdy! haha
As a first timer I went to York, Naburn Locks to be precise, nice smallish site in a quiet village, if you have bikes you can cycle all the way into York 95% of the way on paths, i loved it there, york has so many things going on

That looked lovely, and beautiful despite the heat. I don’t normally enjoy watching other peoples childrens open presents but Abbi was making me smile seeing her genuine joy with her gifts. Never been caravanning so can’t offer any suggestions other than take one round Australia someday.

ha ha yes its such a fab walk! Would be happy to do it again on a cooler day. Some parts are tad bit muddy though, so take some wellies!

When we have summer in south Australia it gets so hot , we sometimes have days of over 40 degrees!!! great for cakemaking😆

Thank you for taking us along on your holiday. That was some walk you went on around the falls but beautiful scenery. As you say, that ice cream person must have made a killing that day. Loved Abbi's reaction opening her presents. Finally Tracey, you really suit your hair purple, it suits your skin colouring compared to blonde. I have experimented with colour and tried to go dark and with my skin being pale I looked like a goth lol. Take care and as always looking forward to your next vlog and tutorials.

Im not a caravaner but when i went to boton abbey i noticed a caravan site very near the side of it, such a beautiful setting, love your channel your accent and sense of humour lol

Little Cherry Cake some parts got it but where I am which is near Loch Lomond had none. We never get decent storms here.

What amazing family memories you’ve all just made! I love how involved your kids get too! Well done Kai!! I absolutely loved caravan holidays when I was little. Some of my best memories. Aberdeen is possibly too far for you to travel but if you’re ever wanting to venture this way then there’s a couple caravan sites I know of..... Stonehaven and Banchory, but they would possibly be too busy for you, especially in the summer time. Loads of sight seeing things to do though. Abbi’s face opening her pressies was priceless. When she squealed high pitched that’s how I sound opening my rad slab!! 🐭😂😂😂 💕💕

Little Cherry Cake I too am an awkward human and don’t do well with human interaction. Not many strangers try to spark up a conversation with me though, I must have serious resting bitch face! 😂😂😂 That sheep was really going for it in the vlog!! Made me laugh. Oh dear lord. I was sat in the house in a puddle for those baking days. The thought of going for a 3 hour walk in it makes me feel a bit sick 🤣

ha ha I know, there was a symbol on ours that said 'kumbaya'...everyone around us must have been nicely tucked up in their caravan and could hear hysterical screams of KUMBAYA!! LOL x
🤣🤣 sounds great fun!! Our games are usually me laughing at relatives who don't know Harry Potter with personal faves being 'Bird Horse!' (Buckbeak the hippogriff) and 'bald! No nose! (Voldemort) 🤣🤣🤣 x
Your caravan is the same layout as ours 😊 we’ve just got back from coniston in the lakes it’s a big site next to the lake but feels small as it’s in the woods so pitches spread out and lots of walks. Bolton Abby is beautiful and not too far from us it’s only a small site with lots of walks. Wharfedale is another good one that’s not too far. If you join caravan and Motorhome club (I know it’s £40 ish per year but the sites are brilliant in fab locations plus you get discounts etc) there’s so many to choose from and you can book onto certified sites which are cheaper as on farms etc with just 5 caravans on at a time x

Yes there's two clubs that I know of?, but I found you can still book the 'exclusive' sites through the site owners LOL It kinda put me off paying for extra 'benefits' after that! LOL
Oh wow , what amazing waterfalls, like you I prefere quiet camp sites not to many people, just love the peace and quiet my partner has a camper van which we love , I would suggest if you haven't already got a couple of fans, we have the battery operated if we went on electric, cause it really helps in the best. Loved the camping game looked like fun !!!!!!. We have been to" Clay pit Farm in Norfolk., it's really quiet it's a fair size field on the farm they have showers and toilets but nothing else, it's a small site, does have electric you can plug into , you can go for walks on the farm, the owners are very friendly too. Thank you! No Air-Con isn't a standard thing here in the UK, it doesn't usually get hot enough to need it haha x You get it in some cars, and some posh hotel rooms ;) x
I'm thinking I would need to get under the waterfall to cool down. 😂
Oh gosh there some super mini ones I found and as I got closer I was like 'YES!! I'M GOING TO RUN MY HANDS UNDER IT FOR A SECOND!!' and then this little old couple were stood close to it waiting for us to pass so they could have a photo....so I felt too bad to hold them up and walked on my way LOL GUTTED haha
Yeah a proper “stay” in the caravan!!! Love Ingleton Falls, always a nice walk out. You should check out High and Low Force Falls, a nice circular walk to be done! Hope Abbi had a cracking bday. Looking forward to more of the Cherry Family adventures xx #cherrybrigade 🍒
